The greatest techno band ever is The Berzerker

    As do I.

    Fat Albert

Yes, but he didn't buy the rights to the Little Rascals because they were racist, despite what you may hear. Cosby has done nothing but garbage for a long time. His stand up was always top notch, and for that he's a legend, but he's churned out more crap than most.

Just so you know, Banky, you're not quite the hipster you want to be yet. Getting closer, though.

No. I really like his verse, and the one following it, what bring that song down is the third verse is a notable step down, and yeah, the hook coulda been better. His verse, however, is as good as anything on Thug Matrimony, and I love Thug Matrimony, in case you haven't noticed me say it before.

    Nirvana - Nevermind

It had the structure of an inverted penis. It had a bunch of good (relatively) poppy songs up front, followed by a bunch of noise, and one more "real" song at the end. It is what I would expect if a fairly talented musician said "I hate myself and don't care about making a good album."

You'll like Rotterdam Terror Corps anyway... I think everybody will. In that case, you want Yellow Magic Orchestra, who were pretty much responsible for Japanese techno-pop as a genre. I reiterate Ken Ishii. Some Aphex Twin ("Funny Little Man" if you want a particular song). Tipsy. Peaches. What you're talking about, by the way, is Happy Hardcore. Although none of the recommendations I made are such, it will assist you to know that.

    Fat Albert

Wait a minute... somebody didn't know Fat Albert was Cosby's? Bob's an idiot. The damn show was called Fat Albert and The Cosby Kids. They should have gotten the real Fat Albert to appear in the movie, except if he's as old as Bill Cosby and morbidly obese, I'm sure he's long dead.

    Nirvana - Nevermind

In Utero wasn't that good. It was top heavy and lacked structure and pace. Sure, some have said it was Kurt suicidily alienating his audience... but then, why does everybody apparently love it? It was good, but Nevermind was better.

You guys that picked up "Georgia Dome" should snag "Grey Goose" as well. I know I love most of the album, but I can say objectively that those two songs are the highlights and all you really need from it (unless you happen to be a Trick Daddy fan). It's about getting drunk.

    Greatest openings to songs?

By the way, jazz is better than classical.
  13. I think Incandenza is right. I'm going to not listen to Johnny Cash anymore until people stop pretending to care about him.

Hey, queer. Don't steal my dog that I stole from Incandenza.

The greatest techno band ever is The Berzerker

Gabber is what The Berzerker is, except without guitars and singing and shit. It originated in the Netherlands and is closely associated with the white supremacy movement. Techno was no more of a weak joke than pop was, the problem was people who didn't understand it and couldn't distinguish good from bad. I know about good techno like I know about good everything else, and I'll happily recommend it if you could be more specific about what you want. Since you seem to like The Berzerker, some good gabber groups are Rotterdam Terror Corps (you will like them, I'm sure... Agent probably would too), Ultraviolence, 3 Steps Ahead and DJ Isaac.

Best "Once Upon a Time In" movie

I used it twice and this time was a reference to the other time. Come on, pick up on my continuity... c'mon!

    Most Disturbing/Disgusting movie

Man Behind the Sun, for both disgusting and disturbing, because it was pretty much a true story. You guys that are touting Salo, be aware, there are further depths of depravity to be sunk. That is the true title by the way, but if you go looking for it, you should know it's often called Men Behind the Sun.

I did listen to Mel C's first album today. I listened to a lot of female rock today. Her, Patti Smith, Lydia Lunch, Nina Hagen, Jayne County, even though Jayne County is technically a man. Nothing like transexual rock to make me realize I should hear more from the 70s NY punk scene. Speaking of, it was Teenage Jesus and the Jerks I listened to, and the fact that Lydia Lunch could have been part of such a collective at 16 is almost scary... not as scary as Nina Hagen though. She's just a scary punk witch. I should have listened to Diamanda Galas as well, come to think of it... she's the only witch I can think of scarier than Nina Hagen.

You'd be surprised. Their first two, Spice and Spiceworld were truly classic pop offerings. Then Geri Halliwell left and they put out a third album, Forever. They had clearly lost interest, and it was technically good but had no heart. In this period Geri Halliwell and Mel C put out solo albums, Mel C's being, as I said, really rather good, surprisingly so even though I thought the Spice Girls were great. Geri came off like a cross between Madonna and Shirley Manson, which wasn't necesarily good, and it was a lackluster album. Then the final four split up, and each released a solo album, including sophmore efforts from Mel and Geri. Mel's second album was slightly worse but still on par with vintage Spice, Geri's was slightly better, but still below par. The other three girls' albums were not released in America. Victoria's was the abomination described, although she did sell a lot of singles. The other two were average. There's also the myriad of singles and B-sides which were never released collectively, unfortunately.

Best "Once Upon a Time In" movie

Once Upon a Time in the West is the movie equivalent of Led Zeppelin. It's really not very good at all, and all claims to the contrary are brainwashed delusion. Once Upon a Time in China was the best, I would say.

In contrast to Victoria Beckham's abomination, I enjoy Melanie C's solo career greatly. I like her solo albums better than the canon Spice albums.

I refuse to continue this smirkingly smug ignorance.
