The OAO TSM "Happy Birthday, you!" Thread

Did you really expect me to mistake the town's most prominent 104 year old man for one of my elementary school students?
  2. Well of course, what with all the flagrant product placement, "penis breath" comments and scenes of children getting drunk against their will... I could do with some Reese's Pieces actually.

As I always say, "Body second, safety last."

    David Foster Wallace

It was my first read of his too. It was sort of difficult, but I kind of knew that going in, so I was resolved to finish it. I can recall picking it up in the bookstore and thinking "This thing is a fucking phone book!"

Things that Amuse or Please You

So to stop talking about shoes, I've been up all night reading about Roman emperors, because I recently had an alcoholic relapse, which always renders me unable to sleep. I ate a shitload of Taco Bell, and found the time to masturbate 25 or 30 times over the course of the evening. I'm going to be having sex tonight with this half Asian girl I met on okcupid, and the fact that I am on no sleep and just came so much there's probably no semen left in me doesn't intimidate me at all. I will take her to see Burn After Reading (will be the second time for me), and then we'll hook up, and I will be as good as ever. My stamina absolutely staggers me, and this pleases me. In fact, all of that anecdote pleases me.

My Jordan 5s are probably my favorite. That's the color scheme I have. They are originals too, not the retro ones. The design was partially based on WWII fighter plane paintjobs and also partially on Marty's "power laces" shoes from Back to the Future 2. I'll be honest, I don't feel cool knowing/caring so much about shoes, but what can I say, it's a hobby.

Interesting, because one of my favorite musicians, JG Thirlwell, released work under many "foetus" names, including Foetus Art Terrorism; Foetus Über Frisco; Foetus Corruptus; Foetus In Excelsis Corruptus Deluxe; Foetus Inc.; Foetus Interruptus; Foetus Over Frisco; Foetus Under Glass; Philip and His Foetus Vibrations; Scraping Foetus Off the Wheel; The Foetus All-Nude Revue; The Foetus of Excellence; The Foetus Symphony Orchestra; and You've Got Foetus On Your Breath.

    Actors/Actress Draft!

I'm not even considering how to use my choices in a film together, but just from what I have so far, I think I could come up with something. It's better to be surprised.

    2008: The Year in Music

I believe my introduction was likely Cannibal Corpse, who I still like... speaking of, I'm meaning to pick up their new Centuries of Torment dvd. I dunno if I can sit through a three hour documentary about them, but I'll give it a shot. I loved it instantly. I still have a fondness for Z-grade death metal. The Corpse, I believe I first heard them in Ace Ventura, and I was like "What is that? I want to listen to that!" After that, I started listening to Nile and Dying Fetus, because I heard Jerry Lynn talking about them in some wrestling magazine. So that's good. This was still in the Purification Through Violence era, so it was more violent than what they're doing now. And I started going to a lot of shows, Tampa still had a decent metal scene back then. From there, I got into black metal, and then punk, which provided the rebellion and chaos I sought, but in a more authentic way, I thought. And that's my history with metal.

Jake the Snake back to his old antics

Well, I'm not the same kind of addict he is, but I hardly think a relapse is reason to just throw up your hands and give up. That's the most valuable thing I learned from AA, everybody relapses.

    Teach Me TSM

Anything Else sucks, but I've jerked off to it a couple times. Perhaps surprisingly, I really like Deconstructing Harry, so that's one of his better later ones. Oh, and nevermind that sex scandal. Even though there was something of a scandal at the time, he didn't do anything wrong.
  13. That's not Amy Winehouse, it's a man, baby!
  14. I've never even heard of Laguna Beach. The Rambo movies are all pretty good. III is my favorite one, First Blood is actually pretty decent and not in a mindless way. The new one just makes me giggle. "Fuck the world."

Things that Amuse or Please You

That is a pretty sweet deal. My shoe addiction has been mentioned here before, but I was just thinking I should get all Samba's and Chuck Taylors (I have five pairs of those already). I won't, but it would theoretically be a good idea.

    Taco Bell big box meal

I ate one of these fuckers, and I generally avoid fast food and stick to a vegetarian diet, but I'm not hardcore about it. That really hit the spot. Taco Bell will always have that special place in my heart. My first job was selling drugs out of the drive thru there. Well, that and actually working the drive thru, but you can guess where most of the money came from.

    Actors/Actress Draft!

Speaking of dismissing entire, vast genres, I've tried - repeatedly - to get into anime, and I just cannot do it. I need someone who knows my taste to recommend things (nobody here, I mean someone who really knows me). I like Akira, I watched Ghost in the Shell and couldn't follow it to save my ass, and I liked Vampire Hunter D. That's all I've seen besides adult swim stuff. But uh, not liking classic movies isn't ok. If you don't, I'm not going to make you, but you should be ashamed of it.

    David Foster Wallace

I really didn't take this news as well as I let on. Kind of a Kurt Cobain situation for me. I think I'm going to be ok, though.

Why didn't you pick him, then?

the most offensive two word combination

Yes, because that implies that there is a tame pegasus, which we all know is ridiculous.
  23. I probably will really get that. Sis has agreed to do whatever work I want just for practice/to be nice, but she could do that right now, it's simple enough. She kinda wants to piss our parents off (her mom and my dad, we aren't really related) too, though, and I think "Daddy's Girl" would do nicely. I haven't asked her yet, but I'm sure she'll jump at the chance.
  24. Ridiculous! You know, my sister is officially tattooing now, has her gun and everything, so I'm in for some free tattoos.
  25. Any suggestions for a Winehouse tattoo? I should just steal one of hers... "Daddy's Girl"? That'd be pretty rockin', especially considering it would be framing a portrait of GG Allin on me.
