My girlfriend has big tits and I have a big penis.

I want your soul. I will eat your soul. -
Good for you. It was dumb.

By the way, Edwin, where did you see him and what kind of reaction did he get?
-
Hm, I'd heard his stand up was good. That's a shame. He's directed some good stuff though. If you saw him on the Jamie Kennedy Experiment, that really was funny.

Really, I usually get the opposite. The pictures a few years old, but I don't really look that different. I'm 21. edit: By the way, Dids, I know you're fairly new here and may not have gotten used to my personality, so I should inform you that you shouldn't take those pictures of me at face value.

Well, see, here's the thing about Full House. You know all the sappy cliches a sitcom can fall into, and usually they take steps to try to avoid that. Well Full House wallowed in them. It's trite family crap on steroids, and that has a certain appeal, like picking a scab. Sometime you just want to revel in the television equivalent of marshmallow peeps, and you can do no better than Full House. Plus Steph was hot when she grew up a little.

I never watched the Sopranos, but I decided to give it a try, so I'm going through season one on dvd now. Even if it has become a soap, once you get attached, you won't recognize it. Happens all the time a show goes bad. Look how long it took most of the Simpsons fanbase to acknowledge it. Full House was good.

Ok guys, joke answers are played out.

Roseanne's failures outweigh it's triumphs. Almost any show you can think of tried it and failed, just not every week. I'm not saying it ruins the show when they do, but I don't think you should say "This sitcom is good because it dealt with all these issues." Probably the most prime example of a show going for the message and fucking it up nearly every single week was Dif'rent Strokes. Fresh Prince got pretty bad about it over the years too.

It's not so much that coke is coming back, it's that the late 70s/early 80s is coming back. Besides, crack was always here. I do drugs that are very socially uncool. It's kitsch. Because of who I am, whatever I do becomes cool.

Alright, sitcom is situation comedy. Social commentary is not needed. If they want to do those things, and it works, ok, but if it fails like it usually does, I have no sympathy. Comedy is comedy, dealing with issues is for someone else.

Which is... reality. That's what it's called even if that's not what it is.

I am a real person. I never dealt with any of those things.

You forgot to say amen, CWM.

Voice Of Lisa Says Simpsons Movie Won't Happen
Nighthawk replied to EdwardKnoxII's topic in Television & Film
What? Hold on. FIGHT CLUB was based on Wilmington, Delaware?? I knew they mentioned Delaware, but I thought they said a Fight Club had sprung up in Delaware but not they were in Delaware. Wow, that'll show Wayne's World! If you watch all the dvd supplements, they mention it there somewhere. I think the thing was that it was supposed to be ambiguous like Springfield, but Chuck Palaniuk will tell you it's based on Wilmington (because apparently the headquarters of some credit card companies are there), and they worked some subtle references to it into the movie. -

They'd be fired for inverted racism. -
By all accounts everyone is getting sick of reality and has been for a while. It's still cheap though. And you can say one thing about Americans, they will watch what's on.

Bump I'm trying to figure out what Super Delfin's Delfin Clutch is. Only description I can find is "Cradle Crossed Arms with Standing Figure Four" and I can't picture what that looks like. Can anyone describe it better or maybe have a picture?
-
Just make sure it's the right kind of coke. *wink wink*

I could probably answer to some degree if they were addressed individually. I dig Lynch.

You mean when getting married was the whole concept of a show? Or people who were getting married anyway and did on tv for some reason. Some of the latter were for real.

Nah... some leech-like things. I'm not too sure what they are. Eels maybe, but small.

Voice Of Lisa Says Simpsons Movie Won't Happen

Hm. I'd say I was flying to Delaware. Fight Club was supposedly in Wilmington. Most people I know favor an Illinois location for Springfield. I used to live in Springfield, Illinois. For the real life counterpart of a wacky cartoon city, it's actually not too far off. -
Are there people who actually add "2004!" or "2K4" to the end of cap-locked exclamations, or is this purely an invention of mockery?
