This project seems more along the lines of Professor Chaos than Batman. The other stuff maybe, but making a minute change and putting the Bat-Symbol behind it so that when she noticed it and corrected she'd know who did it... that's psychological warfare on another level. Well... it was in a movie.

Matt Young and The Bad Guy after completing DKC

That looks more like 74/75 than 94/95... must be the carpet. -
I think the comparison is just that they're both pretty annoying when compared to their surrounding cast of characters. I like Lisa, but my taste in characters can run a bit odd. I think the influences flowing both ways are acknowledged and good natured... Peter Griffin appearing among the Homer clones being an example. I was a bit surprised by Homer becoming Death, cause it was more direct than usual.

Objectively, it was a very lame adaptation, and as I said it makes it on the strength of Curry alone pretty much. Much of the book is unfilmable though, big Loevcraft influence and all, especially at the end which is why the movie end sucked so bad. I love that book, and I'm not really a Stephen King fan either.

Sweet Child O' Mine is in there, they must have been using more than one sample.

What irritates me is when people try to connect every character to the Simpsons. It's not a complete rip off, you know.

Jessica Simpson:Dumb blonde or savvy businesswoman

I'm too lazy to do my whole spiel about money, but here's the end... You know who's better than Van Gogh? Almost everybody, he made nothing! -
And yet here I am........ I think that was implied by what he said...

With Knoxville in all the acting and what not, I'd guess California.

This is a pathetic excuse for a thread.

I admire the commitment involved in the Brook River Project. -
Nelly, like the rapper? That would have been too awesome. I know rappers act a lot now, but he would just be fun to watch in a movie like this.

I don't go to coffee houses either, because the clientele irritate me, plus I usually just drink it black, I'm not into all that fancy stuff. I do like Starbucks ice cream though. In the evening, sometimes I'll have cold coffee with just a ton of sugar in it. Tastes pretty good.

I'll throw my hat into the Family Guy fan ring. The Simpsons have turned in their most blatant rip off yet with last week's halloween episode. By the way, my favorite character was Quagmire, perhaps not surprisingly given my reputation around here.

I respect him in the net way.

All of these supposedly eye flame inducing pictures are red xs to me... -

Explain please (though I've never seen ET, original or newer version, so it may be more trouble than it's worth for you) I know this one. Roughly, there were some people looking for the alien, and they were carrying guns, then in the redone version they made it seem like they had walkie talkies.

Not really someone I know, but I was watching Jerry Springer once, and a kid in the audience stands up and says "(something about taking care of a baby, I don't remember this part) cause life is precious, and God, and the Bible." which is a quote from the Mr. Show talk show lifeboat Springer parody. Nobody reacted at all, and I got a thrill out of getting such a random and obscure reference. The incident was mentioned in the recent Mr. Show book as well, and I got another thrill out of having seen it.

These comparisons are lost on me, considering I don't watch any of the shows. Essentially the same concept, but one is much more juvenile. And it takes a lot for something to be more juvenile than a penis in the ear. Also, In Living Color was the Wayans brothers, so there's that too. -
Yes, I have seen the original Star Wars, and yes, that is pretty lame.

A better selection would have been "Informer"

Ok, what is the deal with Greedo shooting first? I heard Dennis Miller reference it, and now apparently everyone complains about it. Forgive my Star Wars non-geekness.
