Although, I'm gonna stick with VC since its the original. I just HATE it when somebody rips another person off. Example: A music artist stealing / using another artist's beat. And Burger King STEALING McDonald's Egg McMuffin, . VC is not the originator. The concept of vanilla soda has existed nearly as long as we've had cola.

Good quotes besides that one too. Sebastian Bach's were the funniest, I think.

Ya'll bash King Diamond too much. Yeah, he can sing really high, that's what's good about him. And concentrated Dio is also a good thing.

Is it just me or do those Truth commercials seem to be PROMOTING cigarettes? Well guess who pays for those by order of the courts. You can't fight Big Tobacco. They're bigger than Jesus.

Friday, August 30, 2019 making me 36... shit

Norweigans invented black metal.

I am proud. I realize now I should have trimmed before starting the thread. I usually do, but I've been lazy. There's too much hair on my face right now too.

Foetus is terribly underrated. The Throbbing Gristle mentions reminded me, cause they have a somewhat similar style (Foetus is better imo), yet Foetus gets much less recognition.
-
While on falsetto, I'll have to throw out Jimmy Urine (Mindless Self Indulgence). I don't know if good is the best way to describe his singing, but it's entertaining.

I didn't mention any names man. I was talking to Zack, but lest Zack think I'm seriously calling him an asshole, I'm not.

Well, ICP grew up in the suburbs, so I wouldn't really call it with blacks, or with whites. The Detroit rap scene is fairly mixed, as far as race goes. The biggest names when they were coming up were Esham and Kid Rock, so there you go. They both appeared on ICP's first record, which helped them out. Eminem was there, although he hadn't really gotten started yet. But now I'm straying into music discussion. And Esham isn't on their label, although they collaborate fairly often. Esham owns his own label, I believe.

I'm not really going to argue, it's too early in the day for that, but I don't think you'd walk into oncoming traffic and trust God to keep you from being killed. Kids are nice and all, but you'll be blessed right into the poor house.

Happy birthday. 23 is an important one for some reason I'm sure. It was Jordan's number if nothing else.
-
You'll have like 10 kids then. God expects his followers to use common sense.

Twiztid has said it, Halfbreed (a black guy and a white guy), mostly underground acts like that. It doesn't really happen in the mainstream, I guess for obvious reasons.

Marilyn Manson takes a lot of shit for his image, and the fact that he appeals to a lot of idiots (or at least used to), but I still consider him a good songwriter and quite the showman. Korn also suffers because of their fan base, but they're not that good anyway. I like The Hives, but they're always getting lumped in and written off with those other three bands. Twiztid is a great rap act totally overshadowed by the far inferior ICP.
-
I'm not sure, but I think Reel Big Fish's "Everything Sucks" might have charted as well.
-
ICP doesn't have to be good for you to listen to them, that's not the point, which makes them somewhat unique. I'm sure they'd be honored to top this list. Their mild attempt to sell out and ridiculous "Follow God" message was pretty bad though.

I have a quite old Spider-man tpb (I'm not sure how old it is, but it came out in at least the mid 80s) which has both stories mentioned in the above post, plus one about Colonel Jameson getting superpowers from spores he encountered in space, a Rhino story and an Electro one. Not sure if that's the one you're talking about. It's just called The Amazing Spider'man, and the concept is Stan Lee's favorite stories. I heard that Spider-man: Blue was good, but alas I haven't read it.

I'm just going to mention somebody that hasn't been yet. King Diamond I'm the only one that ever brings him up in these threads, but the man is good.

I say we rename NHB the Crap Folder. A name change has been tossed around for a while now... well, there's your name.
-
There are white rappers who say "nigga" without incident, and white people who use it in everyday conversation, in the so called positive context. It's not as prevalent, but I thought I'd point out that it does happen. Nigger is a very complex word, with a lot of history. I'm not sure what to make of it exactly.

The power trip and I.D.R.M. were not even cliques, you assholes, they were genius creative booking. Now I know why everybody hated it it, they didn't even read it.
-
This wasn't a clique. I think it should be moved to classic threads, it would be nice to have something there I started. And if Dames ever changes his mind about the cock thread, I'll have two.

Well, look at the first post. We weren't asking for members or anything, we were saying "We're better than you, so worship us." I mean, it's not like we expected to be praised, just make it known that Banky and I are affiliated so when we did our oaoast stuff people would say "Oh, like that thing in NHB, I get it." I expected more of a "yeah, whatever" or "ha, they're at it again" than "FUCK you, assholes!", but even the best of us screw up once in a while.
