Oh yeah, it's worth watching, no doubt. This is completely changing the subject, but I'm prepared that I admit that I sort of like Wild Wild West. Will Smith and Kenneth Branaugh are charismatic, Kevin Kline is passable. Sure, the part where they traded black/cripple jokes was cringeworthy, but the the steampunk elements were badass. I'm a major fan of steampunk, yet somehow all the movies that get made in the genre mostly suck.

Ever felt like you just can't get the right job?

A lot of people in gay porn aren't gay, you can keep it up with pills. But that's a completely different discussion! -

I saw a lot of kids in both Hostels. And Bug as well, which actually might be even more disturbing to a young child. -
Not true, although the last two movies I saw in IMAX were Wall-E and Speed Racer. But yeah... I couldn't get IMAX tix either.

Good point about getting too excited. I probably should wait until I actually see the movie to get that tattoo.

I think this needs to be brought to everybody's attention.

And by the way, in case you forgot in the meme discussion, I invented those too. -

Why can't you be a top? -
How's that hash out? There's a couple albums on there I'm pretty sure you like, but wouldn't consider essential. The Miles one, as noted, I believe you've said the Monster Magnet one was good, Sabbath and South of Heaven, I'd think. I'd guess you hate the Cure, probably Metallica and maybe Deicide, but really... I appreciate the respect my list has gotten, but I really don't think it's that out there. The GG one is the only one I can't imagine anyone wanting, but other than that, those are all pretty good, unless you just outright don't like rap, like Gene said, or something. I kept it fairly approachable, even leaving off some of my favorite artists like Tom Waits and Prince, cause I would have had to go for Heartattack and Vine or The Black Rider, and Lovesexy or the black album once my other favorites were snagged. And I didn't even approach like, Anal Cunt and stuff. I also felt handicapped because two of my favorite genres, blues and folk, often don't have album propers, it's lots of comps and complete works of and such. I didn't even pick a Marilyn Manson album... honestly, besides POAAF, any would have done. Here's a quick unmentioned 20 from me: Ice Cube - Amerikkka's Most Wanted Christina Aguilera - Back to Basics Bonnie 'Prince' Billy - I See a Darkness The Homosexuals CD Clint Mansell & Kronos Quartet - Requiem For A Dream Misfits - Walk Among Us Killing Joke - s/t Throbbing Gristle - 20 Jazz Funk Greats Bathory - s/t Suicide - s/t Acid Bath - Paegan Terrorism Tactics Aphex Twin - Selected Ambient Works vol. 2 Mike Oldfield - Tubular Bells Patti Smith - Horses Elton John - Goodbye Yellow Brick Road Billy Joel - Glass Houses Agoraphobic Nosebleed - Frozen Corpse Stuffed Full of Dope Foetus - Nail Elvis Presley - s/t Skrewdriver - White Rider The last one is a white power band. I almost selected it for the real draft, but I thought it would be too distracting. The politics have nothing to do with it, it's just a really good album.

Yeah, it's not exactly the easiest thing in the world to listen to, but that album I mentioned, The Singer gets fairly regular spinnage. I've also got an mp3 of her reading Poe's "The Black Cat". It's awesome. Re: Hancock's music, I agree, the one two punch of "Colors" and the Sanford and Son theme was beautiful.

Well, best of luck. I dunno, I just can't hate a babe in it's mother's arms. I can hate tabloid magazines, though. Brutal.

Do gay porn. That's where the money is, and they have a niche for every body type. -
Prepare to be (slightly) underwhelmed. For how legendary it is, Caddyshack really isn't that great. They spend too much time on the actual caddies when you just want to see Chevy and Rodney and them acting a fool. Yeah, Happy Gilmore is a better golf movie. Norm MacDonald really gets me too. He has a very particular style, and it's just funny as all hell to me. I love his comedy album, Ridiculous, which I don't know, may have been a reference to that scene in Dirty Work. "You know what hurts the most is the lack of respect. Except for the other thing, that hurts the most... but the lack of respect hurts the second most. You guys have got a lot of growing up to do I can tell you that. RIDICULOUS!" I hope I'll be physically able to respond like that if I ever get raped.

Yeah, it is really good, it just totally did not live up to TWBB in the long term for me.

Hancock was an average movie, but I think my favorite bit of it was the use of Ice T's "Colors". That's a great song. I'm actually a pretty big Ice T fan, but I haven't listened to him in a while. Should change that.

I ran into a girl I used to know today (didn't talk to her). I don't think I ever did anything particularly bad when I knew her except tell her she looked like she was gaining weight, but she seemed terrified/disgusted to see me. She had gained even more weight. That's probably why. -
I read some of Steve-O's updates about being institutionalized for destroying his brain with drugs and alcohol. While he seems alright, it's sort of sad to see him like that, as I always liked his fun loving party animal image. He used the term "funny farm" to refer to the place he's in, and it got me thinking about the Chevy Chase movie. It's actually pretty good.

I almost thought that was some sort of drug slang. But as for the sport, other than the Baseball Furies, not really, but my girlfriend is, so I sort of am by proxy.

Speaking of, if I occasionally see like, 14 or 15 year old girls with Nirvana shirts (and it seems to always be girls), I sometimes realize that I was 11 when Cobain died. They were infants if that. It's odd that bands I remember being popular are long gone.
-
That's the truth. I get free drugs all the time and I don't even do drugs. Go to Haight though, if you want something harder than chronic. I've gotten beers, acid, smack and mushrooms just for somebody liking my shirt.

"Oh man, I'm on drugs right now" was mine. -
Upright Citizens Brigade I am just owning sketch comedy in this draft. While it's a respected cult favorite, UCB is still amazing underrated. All four members are hilarious. After Mr. and Chappelle, I'll take this one.

The Things That Anger You Thread.

Ever tried telling someone in a movie theater to shut the fuck up? It's pretty effective. Still, it's hard to find a balance, because I really do think some movies are ok to yell things out in. I don't have any way to express which ones are ok and which ones aren't, though. I just instinctively know.
