If you were a cop, would you be corrupt?
Nighthawk replied to Lt. Al Giardello's topic in No Holds Barred
There's laws against a lot of things people aren't usually cited for. -
The ice cream cone story reminded me of something I used to do with self serve cones: Remove the lower tray and stack ice cream a good three or four times the height of the cone. Balance it out the door and drop it into a dish. This was usually at am/pm, where they had, I believe 69 cent cones. Some Arab got mad at me once, and I threw it on the floor.

As I've always said, I'd be massively corrupt. Raping teen runaways, smoking crack on the job, killing homeless people... that's the life. Bad Lieutenant, son. -
You couldn't have paid me to see that movie.

I drink them, but the market is too saturated, I can't pick one. Give me input on which you think is best.

John Lennon - John Lennon/Plastic Ono Band I hate to be the kinda nigga to pick a Beatles album then turn right around and pick a solo album from one of the Beatles, but I gots to be that kinda nigga. Truthfully, this is my favorite album from any of the Beatles, or the Beatles as a group, though it often gets overshadowed by their collective work. It's really a pretty brutal album, since Lennon is metaphorically Primal Screaming through all of it (and literally Primal Screaming through some of it). Everything is dead and worthless, and you can't put faith in anything, but it says that in a surprisingly positive way. A very cathartic album, if you take it the right way, and some damn fine depression listening, though it's actually not bad for good time listening either (a rarity with such things). And with the desert island theme, what better than an album as introspective as this?

That's where it all started going downhill for me. Central Florida goth... kinda like the movie Bully, except more Marilyn Manson and less Charlie Manson (still plenty of both, though). A bunch of kids trying to out-fucked up each other, things just snowballed at an alarming speed.

That's how I prefer him portrayed, just an eccentric crime lord rather than some sort of freak with flying machines. Gotta go back to No Man's Land there, that was a good Penguin arc.

We need more Zeds and Maynards and The Gimps from Pulp Fiction... I was just referencing that scene in regards to Fritzl the other day. His trial should consist of the verdict, and the judge says "I sentence a couplea hard, pipe-hittin' niggas to go to work on the homes here with a pair of pliers and a blowtorch. You hear me talkin' hillbilly boy? I ain't through with you by a damn sight. I'ma get medieval on yo ass." Actually, I've been reading about medieval torture and execution lately. It had nothing on the ancient Romans. Now that was a culture. If I were Doc Brown, that's where I'd be living today. I'd use my knowledge of the future to convince them I was a God.

I suspect I may have driven a girl like this to suicide once, but she didn't leave a note. It was very difficult to deal with.

I already took Superfly, so that should be ok. I've half a mind to pick Batman too. I won't, though.

While I like The Rock better, I think Scream is legitimately a better movie. It's very good at what it does. Bad influence, though. The summer movie category here is essentially best trailer. They should have an award for Best Theoretical Sequel. Speed Racer 2: The Quickening.

I'd pick the human too. I can find a reason to hate just about anybody. Animals are just sitting there minding their own business. Not to mention I could probably fetishize abusing an innocent person. Abusing an animal isn't going to turn me on. I know I'm fucked up, but I'm not that fucked up.

Heavy Metal and subgenre description
Nighthawk replied to Red Hot Thumbtack In The Eye's topic in Music
For the sake of exposure to grindcore, try Pig Destroyer, who are my favorite metal band, along with Agoraphobic Nosebleed (they are affiliated). It's a difficult genre to get into, and I don't think there are many fans here besides myself and Agent. Probably you won't like it, but if you do, I can talk more about grindcore. I couldn't get it to embed. Buncha goofballs... good band, though. -
I don't like the Pomegranate flavor much, but I am high on Rockstar punch.

Like I give a shit.

Heavy Metal and subgenre description
Nighthawk replied to Red Hot Thumbtack In The Eye's topic in Music
Because Taiga Star is something of a friend of mine, I will point out for her than black metal and death metal are completely different things... and not like Transformers and Gobots are completely different things, they're not even similar. And you clearly know nothing about metal, so stop talking before you embarrass yourself further. -
Fuck you, Ginger, Leena is hotter than you now.

The Things That Anger You Thread.
Nighthawk replied to Man Who Sold The World's topic in General Chat
I smoked for years and quit, and antismoking ads don't make me want to start again... but they did make me feel good about it when I was. I think they bring the rebellion back into smoking, which was the appeal in the first place. Now it's like "I'm in my 20s, who really gives a shit if I smoke?" but when I was in high school it was cool. That's what Truth highlights. -
There's a genre called Pigfuck.

Call me crazy, but... I liked Speed Racer. I really did, and I wasn't on drugs. I'd never even seen the series, but this movie worked for me. It took itself seriously but not too seriously, and the cast was really good. Too long, though. Besides all that, it was probably the most visually stunning movie I've ever seen. So if you see it, see it on IMAX, like I did.

That was a really unnecessary post, Ripper.

Oh, I know you can hold your eyes open. I've done that many times myself.

This is legitimately impossible. I find the fact fascinating.
