WWE 24/7 Classics OnDemand General Discussion
Boner Kawanger replied to DrVenkman PhD's topic in WWE Multimedia
Thank you. So did I, if only because I rented the VHS tape years ago as a kid and preceded to pay absolutely no attention to it. -
The "Vent about not having Program X on 24/7" Thread
Boner Kawanger replied to EVIL~! alkeiper's topic in WWE Multimedia
My Comcast has done nothing but take off everything except ECW, Stone Cold, and Judgment Day. I called them and was told there was "nothing in the system" and to "wait until Friday". -
MVP mentioned Orton kicking Mr. Cena in the head on the last page, but I just wanted to add that I feel like the punt really added a lot to Orton's character and matches and turned him from a guy I could never muster any care for into one of my favorites and (IMO) one of the better (not Edge) heels to come along in a long time. Now that's a dastardly heel act.

I saw the bad pumpkins added to the IYH intro and couldn't put 2 and 2 together. Thanks.

Comments that don't warrant a thread

Super Mario RPG is out on the Virtual Console today. I know a lot of people were looking forward to that getting a rerelease. -

The WCW Bikini Contest was very poorly organized. Duggan's the best heel ever though. Tylene Buck (I keep typing Tylene Bust accidentally over and over) sounds like the woman from the "Whurrweulf" episode of MST3K.

What's the deal with the Bela Lugosi impersonator in the crowd?

The Dark Knight made less but actually moved up a spot. So that's probably another record you can add to it. I've heard Sci-Fi Movie was next but they might as well start filming six of these pieces of shit at once now.

I think whether or not Batman knew is one of the more ambiguous calls to make. I don't think he was in on it. Unless crashing and nearly getting killed by the Joker was all part of the plan. www.the-editing-room.com has been one of my favorite sites for years. He finally got around to The Dark Knight. Check it out. By the way, the first few pages of this thread are really funny in hindsight.

I would have brought this up last month (when discussing The Dark Knight was relevant;)) if I had been online, but there's one thing still bothering me about the movie. When Lucius is updating Bruce on his new armor and asks him about the cell phone project, Bruce says "I'm playing this one pretty close to my chest". Then, when Gordon gets Dent out of the armored truck, Dent looks at him and says "You do like to play things close to your chest, don't you?". Did the Nolans mean to make that a running line and forget about it? Is there a deleted scene where Batman says it to Gordon who then says it to Dent? Or did I miss something? It's a line that really sticks out, since Dent is saying it like Gordon has told him that in the past.

Vince loved the Razor Ramon gimmick because he had never seen Scarface.

John Cena having major neck problems
Boner Kawanger replied to Hunter's Torn Quad's topic in The WWE Folder
Is it possible this was known internally for a few weeks, at least, and that's why they rushed Cena/Batista? So they could get the most out of Cena before he was out of action for (what at the time sounded like) a year? -
There's no episode list on Wikipedia, but there is some information on the panels. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/WWE_24/7#Legends_of_Wrestling From the top of my head... Legends of WrestleMania Badasses Territories Heatseekers Worst Characters And the upcoming Greatest Factions

By the way, Cher could portray Catwoman as an aging socialite obsessed with plastic surgery, like that lady who looks like a cat. She could even date younger men (like Bruce Wayne, who would be her junior by around thirty years). That's right. She's called Catwoman....because she's a cougar, you see. I guess instead of a crime drama, the next movie could be like a documentary.

Perfect. Maybe even Gordon can brief him on The Joker breaking out, Scarecrow on the loose, and then drop some hints about some unseen villains to bookend the series. If someone has a scan of the last page of "The Man Who Falls" by Denny O'Neil, could you post it? It was an inspiration for Batman Begins. It even appeared in the Begins trade paperback adaptation. It's a perfect summary of how Batman's mission must never and will never end, and it perfectly encapsulates how tragic and heroic it really is.

I've personally been hoping for Shadow of the Bat since they announced the title The Dark Knight years ago. I think The Caped Crusader is too predictable and too cheery. I know it looks like the themes for the next movie may include redemption and the dawn coming, but to me, one thing that personifies Batman is that the dawn is never coming. For Batman to create a perfect world, it would have to be one that didn't need Batman. Bruce Wayne is Batman forever, now. And it's not a happy ending like in..Batman Forever. He can be redeemed, sure. I just think the Nolans could do something if they told that story and used Shadow of the Bat as a starting off point for themes as they did The Dark Knight. In short, the Shadow of the Bat has to always be covering Gotham. Batman is the thumb in Gotham City's dam; if he's gone, so is the city.

I used to think it was Vince when I was a kid, but in my more mature years, I know it has to be Michael "Dok Hendrix" "PS I'm a racist" Hayes. EDIT, since I hate posting in the YouTube thread without providing some videos, here are two of the best: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gV8R-7DlQF4...feature=related

She's nearly 70.

Haha nothing in that article is right until they start talking about The Dark Knight being a summer blockbuster. The part about filming in Vancouver is especially bizarre.

Like Ratatoullie, they should spell Cthulhu phonetically for the benefit of Middle America. Also, the more movies Fred Durst makes, the less albums Fred Durst makes. The choice is clear.

There's a rumor that if Nolan does return for number three, he and his DP want to shoot the whole movie in Imax.
