History of the Undertaker

Just in case anyone is wondering, I went to Best Buy after class just now and it was $23.99, so I guess this is Internet only. -

I should have explained...what I meant was that GoldenEye is the game that everyone played and everyone still plays. One of my friends is down at Alabama for college and told me that they had been playing it every night. -

Don't feel bad, Andrew. When the game came out, my head was put on the cutting block when I said I didn't like it. Here's some food for thought: at the end of the day, the N64's definitive game is GoldenEye. -
I would have loved to have just been able to spend an hour and a hundred bucks at those video tables. I envy your Hollywood Blondes DVD.

JLI and Young Justice and Batman Adventures (based on TAS characters with JLU designs; the last issue was one of the best Batman stories ever written IMO) -
The Flash Batman (sometimes) The Outsiders (sometimes) Teen Titans The Four IC miniseries JLA I mostly go by what I want to read.

So you are saying we should go back to Nintendo Japan and finish what we started? <{POST_SNAPBACK}> I don't think we'd ever make it. You can't even beat the damn game AS Mario. All those twirling fire rods as long as the screen...God, I still have flashbacks. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> The only way I could beat that game was with an emulator an a lot of patience. Save often, and restart when you die. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> I got to castle D-4 years ago on All-Stars. I beat it for the first time last week. -
Yeah, the DVDR boards were hacked about two weeks ago.

Batman being responsible for Ra's al Guhl's death is nothing; in the cartoon, he KILLED CAPTAIN CLOWN. Rumors say Paul Bettany and Lacey Chulme (too busy to spell check) are up for the part.

Super Mario Bros. 2 Japan/The Lost Levels is the Vietnam of Mario games. -
Am I the only one that figured out the 'mystery' of the first one as soon as they gave the first heavy-handed 'clue'? My friends that had already seen it and thought it was great hated me as soon as I explained the whole plot twist.

* OAO Greatest Horror Movie Tourney FINALS *
Boner Kawanger replied to UseTheSledgehammerUh's topic in Television & Film
I have to give Dawn of the Dead the edge only because The Evil Dead, great as it is with it's shoestring budget and legendary behind the scenes stories, is outshined by its sequel, whereas Dawn is a sequel and superior to not only its brethren but most horror movies. -

Eh...Evil Dead is Candarian Demons, though. Haha. It WOULD be interesting to see Bruce Campbell vs. Jamie Lee Curtis, and tons of oatmeal, latex, and karo syrup vs. a Shatner mask spraypainted white with a butcher knife. UTSHu, you need to go ALL-OUT for the Finals thread. Pictures, descriptions of the plot, and maybe some "influence" factor to key in. Make us feel dirty for picking the movie we prefer over the one that most would feel is of better quality and greater influence. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> They're zombies at heart, man. No one can take that away from them. Even if their hearts may not technically beat. You know, I've never really thought about it like that. I just like zombies so much, I guess they really aren't. Oh, well, doesn't affect my choices. Weird finals, totally not what I would have expected. The Evil Dead hardly ever gets this far in these. -

The Evil Dead Halloween Slasher versus Zombie, just the way I like it. I'm thinking after this is over we should have a thread and discuss the tournament as a whole. I really just want an explanation as to how The Shining got this far. -
I have to wait until a stupid football game ends to see tonight's block.

Plus the less detailed designs were easier to animate AND they matched up with Superman: TAS.

Only three Giffen JLA TPBs exists; one of which is long out of print. Justice League: A New Beginning- Reprints Justice League #1-6 and Justice League International #7, which is the first seven issues of the Giffen JLA. The book ends with numerous storyline up in the air, most notably the truth about Maxwell Lord's past and his super-computer helper that's controlling Max's actions during these issues Justice League: The Gospel of Maxwell Lord- Second Giffen TPB, currently out of print and impossible to find even on Ebay. Reprints Justice League International #8-14 which resolves the whole Max Lord origin mess, has the old Big Guns JLA return for the Millennium X-Over, and ends on a cliffhanger as the JLA fight the Suicide Squad. Formerly Known As the Justice League- Collects the Giffen JLA revival mini-series. Good though some of the gags won't make sense unless you've read the Giffen run (especially JLI #15-22). Also the story lacks Guy Gardner, who Giffen was forbidden from using in the mini-series and has a horribly written, totally out of character Mary Marvel in the series as a replacement for Captain Marvel, who like Guy Giffen was forbidden from using. A fourth TPB, collecting the aborted mini-series turned JLA Classified arc "I Can't Believe It's Not a Justice League" should be out next year. ICBINAJL has Guy Gardner in it, Mary Marvel actually acts like she normally does, and there is a wonderful running gag where Sue Dibney denies being pregnant to everyone in earshot, but the book falls apart when Giffen fails to follow through on resurrecting Ice (another Giffen era favorite who was killed off right before Zero Hour). <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Unless you just have to have TPBs, the original issues of Giffen/DeMatties's run can be found in back issue bins for about $2 an issue. I found the entire run at my favorite shop and got most of the first 36 issues (I stopped at Kooey Kooey Kooey to make sure I didn't go broke). Great stuff.

REGION A - The "Zombies Shouldn't Run" Regional Finals! The Exorcist (1973) Shaun of the Dead (2004) ______________________________________________ REGION B - The "Jocks & Whores Must Die" Regional Finals! The Evil Dead (1981) The Shining (1980) ___________________________ REGION C - The "Party Hasn't Begun Until You've Been Bitten" Regional Finals! Night of the Living Dead (1968) Dawn of the Dead (1978) ___________________________ REGION D - The "Why Don't Parents Understand?" Regional Finals! Evil Dead II: Dead by Dawn (1987) Halloween (1978) I'm typing this before I vote on the last one. I've always said Halloween is one of the better horror movies, but I've also always said that Evil Dead II is one of my favorite movies. The poster is four feet away from me. HOWEVER, I am also of the opinion that EDII is more of a parody (much like Scream, and I always agreed with BPS when he said Scream shouldn't count in situations like this), and since Halloween set the bar, I'm voting for it. Tough choices all around. Excellent tournament. Maybe doing these in October screws up the voting. And did doink technically admit to liking Exorcist II: The Heretic? -

Those look awful. Maggie looks like her Brainbaby counterpart in the old Bartman comics. What are they going to do do after these? Boxes shaped like supporting characters? Or will they just throw that out the window, too? -
