It really is. I think that not seeing the first season hurt it for you, too.

Hulk Hogan and the Wrestling Boot Band
Boner Kawanger replied to Gary Floyd's topic in General Wrestling
I'm really disappointed that Hogan isn't using this as a blueprint for Brooke's success. I keep waiting for him to tell her producer "Well, you know something brother, back in 80s* when I was on top of the media world*, I decided I was tired of pressing Andre the Giant*, God rest his giant soul, man! I wanted to put out a CD, the best CD money could buy*! So I said to my main dude Jimmy Hart, let's do this! And my CD, Hulk Hogan and the Wrestling Boot Band, man, it was on top of all the charts*!" *Hulkster Revisionist History -
The only way I know to gaugehow well it sold is to just say that when it came out, it was in Deep Discount DVD's top twenty for a few weeks. I also remember looking at it on Amazon and it had a good sells ranking.

Never saw that reported. Thanks. I still think that's fake, though.

Pat Patterson can't be on the Warrior DVD since he quit the company, so I bet that information is fake. Who risks their job at WWE (or anywhere) to report to ULTIMATE WARRIOR FANS that their hero may be getting a screwy DVD?

The OAO Charlie and the Chocolate Factory Thread
Boner Kawanger replied to SuperJerk's topic in Television & Film
Peter Ostrum was offered a 5 picture contract after Willy Wonka and turned it down. I thought he did a great job in the first movie and I see nothing wrong with how he acted. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> No studio would ever offer a contract to someone that couldn't act! -
Maybe it's me, but e-mailing a...wrestling guru and asking about the main event of WrestleMania (in August, no less) sounds like something a four-year old would do. All of this is terrible.
-
Shawn probably agreed to turn heel and afterwards regretted it, so they're trying to keep him as a face for after Hogan leaves.

Yeah, it's a love it or hate it book. I don't mind psychotic Batman (provided he's not in a main book over the top), and Miller writes psychotic Batman so over the to that it makes me laugh.

Where can I get Wrestlemania X-7?
Boner Kawanger replied to Jesse Badass's topic in Television & Film
Always keep your eyes on Used DVD shelves in places like FYE. I saw a copy there last year for less than $20. -
The OAO Charlie and the Chocolate Factory Thread
Boner Kawanger replied to SuperJerk's topic in Television & Film
Was it just me or did Elfman's theme at the beginning sound like his Spider-Man theme? I liked the movie quite a bit. -
Soundwave will be a special edition iPod released just days before July 4th. The ad campaign will be Transformers silhouettes flying around, transforming, and dancing. It will either be the greatest achievement of mankind or the downfall of modern society.
-
I loved every page. I hope that's your opinion. The ending was perfect. I can't wait for the next issue.

The OAO Charlie and the Chocolate Factory Thread
Boner Kawanger replied to SuperJerk's topic in Television & Film
He got an uncommon name wrong (once) and (rightfully) assumed that Depp would remind people of someone who has been in the news nonstop for years. He's not the only person to do either of those things. And he seemed to like the movie. -
Have any UPN/WB shows ever received Emmy recognition?
-
I really wish Michael Cera would get a Best Supporting Actor in a Comedy nomination.

Oh come on. Wrestling followed by ER? Those jokes write themselves. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> I wanted to so bad, but where's the fun?
-
Thursday night is reserved for NBC's best (most marketable) shows. Wrestling will never fit that criteria, nor would it ever serve as a lead-in to ER.

The current rumors for the plot are: A. The Kingdom Come Superman engaging in a massive war against the present day DCU so as to negate the KC timeline from existence and bring forth the reality seen in "Whatever Happened to the Man of Tomorrow" instead. B. Someone secretly corrupting all of the DCU heroes in order to turn them evil C. A massive six pile DC Battle Royal between the newly reformed Secret Society of Super-Villains vs the Big Three (Wonder Woman, Superman, Batman) vs the "Satillite JLA" (Hal Jordan, Hawkman, Zatanna, Black Canary, Green Arrow, and the Flash) Vs the Giffen JLA (Booster Gold, Fire, Elongated Man, Guy Gardner) Vs Spectre/Eclipso Vs Checkmate with the undercard being Donna Troy vs Brainiac with the stupulation being that if Brainiac wins, he gets to face the winner of "SSOSV vs JLA vs JLA vs JLA vs Spectre/Eclipso vs Checkmate" imeadiately after the fight and the Titans locked in a steel cage outside the ring to keep them from interferring in the match for Donna Troy. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Can't say that I care for any of those. And C sounds completely proposterous. I mean, Fire isn't raped by Max while Booster has to cut off is arm to escape a bear trap while Guy becomes the new Parallax (and Oberon isn't revealed as the evil mastermind).

I almost stopped at "Greetings my amigos!"... I'm hoping he gets rehired for a day and then gets cut due to their Spring Cleaning. It would just show how hillariously stupid the company can be. "But I was just rehired!" "We've been mentioning you on TV for months. I thought you had been back. I'll be honest, I don't watch the show that much."

Nothing smart markish, just a sly putdown to Mr. Money in the Bank. Reminds me of the anti-HHH "Game Over" signs.

Bumping for the Scooby Doo/Friday the 13th crossover with guest stars Don Knotts and Phyllis Diller, which has become my favorite Robot Chicken bit. If anyone missed it last night, I'd say it would be worth seeing this Thursday when it repeats.

No. And thanks for those constant updates on The Perfect Man, there, Bob.

The One and Only Batman Begins thread
Boner Kawanger replied to Ravenbomb's topic in Television & Film
Seriously. It's not like the thread hasn't been discussing the restart. About the score, could someone that knows about music discuss the themes of it? I agree with the poster on page 8 that it succeeds in not getting too big, while Elfman's score dwarfs the movie at some points. -
That seems like a good reason to stick with the brand.
