Wouldn't this be better (and an actual game) if we did it like Six Degrees of Kevin Bacon instead of listing random matches? I'll start. Link Brian Pillman to Hor Shu. The starting match is Flyin' Brian versus Johnny B. Badd.

The Knightfall angle is brilliant. Benoit/Benjamin, please.

Batman Video Games; Begins discussion, etc here
Boner Kawanger replied to AndrewTS's topic in Video Games
I played Batman Begins at a friend's house yesterday, and man does it seem short. I only got to the Docks (level 3, I think), but there was so much wasted opportunity with the League of Shadows training. One level? They could have at least devoted an entire section to learning how to block by letting me swordfight with Ducard on the ice. Instead I walk around, throw some shuriken, climb stuff, fight some ninjas, and head to Gotham. -
I miss TNT before the days of being the Drama Reruns Channel. Lois & Clark and occasionally Brisco County Jr. made for better TV than half a dozen Laws & Order IMO.

Yeah, I was underwhelmed by the score, but there were a few scenes where it worked. Elfman's score today is just too big. I was reading an article about it saying that a more mature Elfman would have gone about the movie completely differently, as the score nearly overtakes the movie or something. The fight scenes, however, I understood the style immediately. This may or may not change your opinion, but think about it. Ducard, when beating the hell out of Bruce, tells him "this is not a dance", meaning that fancy, choreographed moves will not take down any fighter. This applies to the story and to the movie. This Batman will be gritty and realistic, not a neon nightmare that can't bend his neck and face off with his foes in stylized fights. As it pertains to the audience, filming so close and so disorienting allows us to feel what it would be like to fight Batman. When there are many opponents, so much is happening that we can barely see what's going on. We see a man dressed in all black. He's unstoppable. He's dressed as a bat? What is he? It should give the fights the sense of dread that Bruce wants to inflict on criminals. One-on-one shows how brutal a fighter Batman can be. -
Some hyponitist in England has a television show featuring a segment where he puts someone in a trance and leaves them with a toy gun in a building full of zombies.

DC just rereleased a trade paperback called Tales of the Demon. As for his portrayal, since these movies are supposedly going to be as grounded in realism as possible, a lot of the supernatural and mystic aspects of Ra's were dropped, but I loved the subtle hints dropped suggesting otherwise. Ra's' motivation was on par with his comic counterparts, in that he wanted a new world that was a utopia, and he would get it by any means necessary. Liam Neeson almost tops David Warner's animated version. -

I understand why there's always a love interest, but Batman does not need one ever unless she's Talia or Selina. Or Silver St. Cloud, but no one's ever going to use her. -
The last time a Batman film's marketing campaign focused on the villains, we got Batman & Robin. You can't really fault WB's new marketing campaign.

I dont get it. :S <{POST_SNAPBACK}> When Dreamer and Heyman were recruiting for the ECW PPV, they called Sabu, who proceeded to speak in the third person and demand more money than anyone else. Unbeknownst to him, Vince was in the room and said that totally awesome line to Dreamer.

Could work, but they'll avoid him since he played a similar role in Spawn. -
Ummm. Sorry to burst your bublle, but those 2 and Mankind are the 3 faces of Mick Foley. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Whoosh. Scott Hall had a WCW World Title shot in '98. Brutus Beefcake went for the same belt at Starrcade in '94.

Once I told all my friends that Hamil did the voice of The Joker, they all went nuts and proclaimed he should be the live action Joker, which I don't get at all. Their main argument is that he's about as old as Jack was in '89, and that's my biggest gripe. I want a tall, slim, younger Joker that can go toe to toe with the Batman, as long as he cheats like hell. Oh, I went and saw it again today and probably will have to see it tomorrow. Still perfect. -

I enjoy the Fantastic Four comic book but F4 is one movie that I have no intention in watching. -
I do like how she casually calls Jindrak the reflection of perfection, though.

How was the turnout in your theater? Apparently, the midnight shows didn't do so great, and my 4:45 show had about fifteen people. Not that I'm worried... -

In 1989, my parents took me to see Batman. Luckily, they weren't shot afterwards. Today, instead of going with my friends, I took my father. I thought it would bring everything full circle. I love the character of Batman because of the movies, but I've never loved a Batman movie. I thought seeing this movie would make my life complete. Now I have to wait for another one. Perfect. Utterly perfect. -

I am shocked that a change to the director leads a successful super hero series to shit in the third installment. X-Men Begin in 2015? -
My lifelong friend Mike's first stepmom made it to Contestant's Row on TPIR. She showed my family the tape AND the carpet contestants not appearing on stage won. I was quite sad over the divorce. Of course, Mike pretty much instigated it.

...which is why they've re-released the DKC games on GBA, and used Rare's character design for DK in Mario vs. Donkey Kong? <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Let me rephrase that, since you make a good point. First off, it's arguable that DKC, which may have just sold on "nice graphics", helped save the SNES from the wrath of Sega. Nintendo just doesn't respect what Rare did with the franchise. Non-Rare games constantly ignore DKC continuity and supporting characters. It's a shame that Diddy Kong wasn't even in a Camelot sports game until Mario Golf for the Gamecube. Miyamoto also tends to make some backhanded remarks about Rare every now and then. Re-releasing the games just serves to make them some easy money. Since Rare left, Nintendo let the franchise set on the shelf and now it only serves to push their innovative bongo controller, which is all well and good, but I'd really like a normal adventure game that improves on DKC. I have no rhythm:( And hell, Rare's model was basically the only one to choose from besides Naked Arcade Ape and Ugly Mario Kart Ape. Again, just my opinion and wishlist.

Thought so. Thanks. It's very hard to find a Honky Tonk match where he hits it.
-
What type of move was Honky's Shake Rattle & Roll?
-
Every summer I'll beat a random SNES game. Either Super Mario World/All-Stars, Zelda, DKC 1-3, or EarthBound. Nothing beats those games. Oh, and Nintendo seems to hate Rare and their DK games IMO.
