To me, both personally and professionally (for lack of a better term, as I'm exhausted), I find Jaws to be one of the greatest films of the past thirty years. I am a huge fan of Spielberg's early works, and I've never been allured by The Godfather as much as everyone else. I've spent years researching Spielberg films, however. Is The Godfather a great film? Yes, one of the greatest of all time. Is Jaws a great film? Yes, one of the greatest of all time. I just happen to think it's better. Also take into account that I was exposed to Jaws years before The Godfather became more than "that big VHS box with the guy and his cat on it". Besides, Jaws won't beat The Godfather, so just let me vote for it. I'd feel like I was betraying Stevie and Brucey if I didn't.

I'm pretty positive it's fake. The tagline looks like it was ripped straight from an Episode I poster.

Literature vs. Literachure-Who wins in a shoot? EDIT: This looked really clever at first, but I waited seven minutes to post this and now AoO has beaten me to it. Damnit. Seriously, though, you're right. I can remember in 1st grade, sitting around at lunch and discussing Freddy vs. Jason (only had to wait ten years to settle that one) and all the other horror icons in a battle royale. That one has almost as much steam as a Superhero vs. Superhero discussion. Let's start there. We have Freddy, Jason, Myers, Leatherface, and anyone else you like. They're in an enviroment where they can all use their powers (well, those that have powers) and are all fully equipped. I'd give Jason the duke, even though I'm a bigger Freddy fan. Leatherface is sloppy and human. Myers is almost as unstoppable as Jason, but nowhere near as creative. He also can't take punishment like Jason can. It would come down to Freddy and Jason again, even though if Freddy had his dream powers, I'm at a loss to explain how Jason could get by him...maybe I was wrong.

I remember you posting in here a few months ago and saying you didn't read comics. Your new love of Kevin Smith movies change that?
