since I just watched it: the whole ending sequence in The Lady Vanishes. After all the suspense and humor in rest of the film it just sort of limps to the end.

He's filming a movie with Morgan Freeman where they play terminally ill characters.

how so, the lives of others was fantastic. I've seen both films in the last two days, and the German film definitely deserves it.

Actually, if you want to see Pulse watch the Japanese original on DVD. It's really good.

funny way to ask for help
-
brand? model? I didn't mean a picture of the thing.
-
knowing the exact model of your laptop would be helpful.

LastEXILE is fantastic, only thing that kinda falls flat is the ending. You'll see what I mean. Dio Eraclea is one of the greatest anime characters I know.

- When Mortal Kombat came out on SNES (nobody had a Genesis in Germany) me and some friends played it for hours every day because of the great graphics, the cool sounds and the characters. The thing was: we didn't know that there were fatalities! We always just tried to hit the other guy somewhat spectacularly when the game told us to 'FINISH HIM!'. And then one day another friend came along and brought a move list with him...OMFG!

Infernal Affairs is fantastic, you should go out of your way to watch it.

the linesmen can tell the ref what happened and then he can card the player even if he didn't see it himself, happens quite often actually.
-
if you get suspended for two yellows like Pope was you miss the next game. If you get a red card like the two other players you miss at least the next game but could be suspended for more than that. That's individually decided by a FIFA commission and depends on the harshness of your action. I'd guess that De Rossi will get suspended for at least two games, maybe three. The US player will probably miss two games as well.
-
Of course you can't always stop the tackle once you realize you'll only hit your opponent, but that's why the players are supposed to make sure they hit the ball before they jump in for a sweeping tackle. Flying into the opponent's feet with barely a chance to hit the ball is just stupid, especially if you're already booked like Pope was. The refereeing in this game has been pretty much spot on, the discipline of the US boys has not. Still, the US is plaing surprisingly well and I hope they get a draw. That'll make for an exciting third round.
-
yes, of course. but I really like the Czech team and especially Koller. I think he's one of the best forwards around. Still can't believe that Monaco managed to sign him, he should have gone to a better team with a proper fanbase.
-
fuck, Koller injured. hope it's not too serious.
-
what player do you use? While the file is playing look for some sort of filter option where you can see what filters it uses to decode the video. Recommended player: Media Player Classic or VLC.

You can pass on Last Samurai. You absolutely have to see When The Last Sword Is Drawn, though. Came out at about the same time and is one of the greatest. Others: Samurai Fiction Twilight Samurai & The Hidden Blade Azumi Lone Wolf and Cub Hanzo - Razor Sword of Justice The Sword of Doom Takeshi Kitano's Zatoichi. Hell, everything Zatoichi is fantastic. Also, if you don't hate anime you should see Rurouni Kenshin - Trust & Betrayal.
