YOUR view doesn't fly. The entire Democratic party bitched about not going into Iraq without UN support (We had international support). If your view were more widespread, why do we not have the entire Democratic party pushing for Bush to go in despite the UN? Or would that be a renig on the entire "Bush didn't have UN approval on Iraq" view? If Bush is playing politics and being a hypocrit, then you are just as much as he. They are playing by your rules now. You wanted international coalitions, now you got one: It's just not doing anything right now. Why shouldn't they use that justification? It's been your throughout the Iraqi Conflict. They don't want to give Kerry anything to fire at him ("We are getting into another war without any international support, American Imperialism, etc..."), so they've decided to use your playbook. I mean, seriously, if you can't recognize that your party would absolutely blast him for going in without UN approval again, you are just naive. And saying 'He doesn't give a shit about Sudan' when it's been the US in the UN trying to put forth SOMETHING to help out is pretty funny, actually. This reminds me so much of my brother when he's cornered in an argument. "You're wrong and you know it, so just admit it!" It's pretty laughable, man. Frankly, Sudan has become more of a straw man for you than for me.

Bullshit it is. The Administration needs not any more heat from the media and public about "Not working with the international community" so they're gonna play by the Dem's rulebook.
-
I thought we had to wait for UN approval to do stuff... Perhaps we should give inspect- I mean, the general council some more time. Technically, we've never truly been at peace with them, either. We just have a cease-fire with them that's managed to last for 50 years. And frankly, it doesn't matter how widely circulated the video is, it's that he aided in making it that makes it treason. Murder is murder, even if only a few people know about it, and robbery is robbery even if only a few people saw it.

Not THIS "liberal". No matter, your cute little brigade can bitch about whatever you like. Back to the topic of the deserter guy. This is old news. Sorta like Iran/Contra. It was years AGO! Drop it already! Right? RIGHT? Dosen't the military have BETTER things to do with its time? "Operation: The Rest of the Brown Ones" isn't getting done any quicker this way. Come ON! INXS has competition for "Stupidest CE Poster" right now...

*Waits quietly for Popick to assert his creditials. All of them.* Is that someone who's posted on this thread? Yes. Stephen Joseph. I called him "Popick" for short. And trust me, he's going to lay down all his credentials on you.

Being a flight officer in the TEXAS NATIONAL GUARD, I think you actually proved his point for him. Those machines cost in upwards of $20,000 and I doubt an NG flight officer could have had one. Firstly, there is a Word font that mimics the old typewriter-style typeset (even to the point of having certain letters offset just like they would be on a typewriter). Secondly, it's not that hard to touch up a document to make it look like that. There are ways to do it.

Get off my lawn before I shoot you in the leg, damn it. *OMG DOUBLEWHAMMY*

That's a matter of opinion, not of fact. The dailies tracking up to the Democratic primaries proved to be, by far, the most accurate. Rasmussen and Zogby in particular almost nailed the exact figures of several primaries in their tracking polls. This was also when Gallup was doing a daily for Iowa and NH. Well, Myron Levine is a guy who is regularly on C-SPAN discussing Electoral politics, so I think I'll take his word for it. Primaries are a bit easier since you are only looking inside of one group, as well. Again, I don't trust dailies as much because I've had it laid out to me how inaccurate they can be, and frankly, it's not hard to see why: they have to be done fast and they can't always be done with a proper sample. Allow me to take the one that isn't shot out in the interests of time.
-
Huh? You mean CNN/Gallup, which is the one that shows the 7 point lead. And I'll agree with you on Time/Newsweek, since a 10/12 point lead is obscene to think of right now.
-
Tyler, just because they are doing daily tracking polls doesn't make me trust them any more. My electoral politics class taught me that dailies tend to be the most inaccurate of them all, so I don't see why you'd think that as an advantage. JotW: From CNN: It's who says that they're likely to vote, not who just voted in the last election. Why is the "Likely Voter" poll crap?
-
Of course, when it's Kerry that's in the lead...
-
But again, Gallup is reporting more of a bump in many states than Zogby is. I'm already questioning the sudden 12 lead that Kerry gained in NM for apparently doing nothing there.
-
Huh. They sort of incorrectly cited the Gallup polls, since it puts the race at 52-45, which is more than a 1-point lead. Frankly, I think that Zogby is the one who is wrong here rather than what seems like every other polling service. I mean, other services are already putting Bush in the lead of enough swing states to win as long as he gets Florida.

Pure propaganda. It's sorta fun, though.

That is an exact quote from the stupid Anti-Bush game. Hilarious.

Dick Cheney brings the optimistic campaign
Justice replied to Rob E Dangerously's topic in Current Events
It's not the intelligence gathering, but what they'll do with that intelligence. Bush has shown us that if he sees a threat, he'll attack before they can attack us. Kerry has said that he'll respond to any attack with incredible force, but only after we've been attacked. Personally, I want the guy who will attack threats before the threats attack us, but that's just me... No... does this have any real relevance or do you like spouting off retarded comments? And I think Slapnuts! meant that we'll go further and fight the terrorists more effectively with Bush in office than with Kerry. 4 years can be a lot of time to change things around, and I want to move forwards in the WoT, not backwards. So you know Junior High-level history. Is this supposed to impress us or...? ... This makes absolutely NO sense whatsoever in the context of the entire argument. Maybe if you brought up actual speaking points it might, but you didn't so it sounds pretty dumb. -
Victory though chain mail! "If you break this chain, you are a hedonist sinner and Jesus will come down onto Earth to smite your ass with righteous fury."
-
Perhaps because they are, well, the most likely to continue voting? Not all adults vote, you know.
-
Likely Voters: September 3-5: 52-45 August 23-25: 50-47 7 points.

He's been studying at the Rumsfeld School of Kung Fu!
-
... that's a 7 point lead, and a 4 point boost. That's substantial, dude.
-
That's not true. He's lost ground in MI and a few other battleground states. The biggest one is probably Minnesota, which is split dead even right now when it should be strongly Kerry. He's gained ground across the board, pretty much.

Whoa. I'm older than Kibs. Weird. Happy B-Day to the most intimidating internet figure I know!
