You're right. The plan was to have you hold the title till October 2002 where you would of done the FINGERPOKE OF DOOM~! with AS. That instead went to CWM.

There have only been 5 OAOAST Champions since the fed started in April 2002 (AS being the first). It really would of been 4 but Caboose "left", causing us to switch the title over to Alfdogg, who then lost it to CWM, who then lost it to AS, who then lost it to Zack. Although, should Caboose really be a 2-time champion? After "Beach Brawl" the title was held up. Does winning the title after a hold up count as another title win? I'm starting to think it does.

Better than last week's, but that was all but a given. I found it interesting Zack/Jay wasn't the last match on the show. Not that it was a bad thing, it gave a "Saturday Night's Main Event" feel by having the featured attraction go on first or second and end the show with some of the lower guys (that's not a bad thing either). Remember guys, all AS: SONR matches/promos due by the 30th.

A camera onboard the U.S. Coast Guard helicpoter captures the fans -- mostly Navy personnel -- lucky enough to grab seats cheering wildly, as pryo blasts from the "missle launcher" on the custom made destroyer U.S.S. OAOAST. ANGLESLAM: SCREAMS ON NO REPLY LIVE SOMEWHERE IN THE SEA THE SET: Not much of a set this month due to the event being carried onboard a ship. Makeshift entrance, which is only a curtin with the OAOAST logo on it. The ring, with red, white and blue ropes, is set on the rampway used for warplanes to land and take off. The overhead camera pans around the U.S.S. OAOAST to feed more incredible images to the fans at home while J.R. & Jesse do the opening monolouge. JR Hello again, everybody. Jim Ross, along side Jesse "The Body" Ventura here with you for the second annunal AngleSlam, subtitled: "Screams of No Reply." Jess, jam-packed show tonight. However, late breaking news concerning the card, as we bring in Chairman of the OAOAST Board of Directors "Cowboy" Bill Watts. Bill, I understand some important decisions were made within the last 24 hours. BILL WATTS That's right J.R. First off, I'd like to thank the fans watching on Pay-Per-View for allowing into their homes on Labor Day weekend. The last 24 hours have been rather stressful for the board and myself. I've been on vacation for the last month, but last Monday night I received a call from the Board of Directors asking me to return to OAOAST Headquaters ASAP. The meeting was about this "control of IZ" match that was going to go down tonight. Well that's changed. Noone besides the Board of Directors and the General Manager of IZ controls the show. And the only way such a stip could take place was if I signed off on it, and I didn't sign off. That match can still take place but it damn sure won't be for control of IZ. Once the board came into agreement on that; it seemed like a wave of events followed. CWM & Hex were involved in a bar room brawl after a non-televised OAOAST event Friday night. Both have been fined and their match for tonight called off. Their actions don't deserve the big money an event like tonight will bring in for the talent involved. The El Dandy/Ed match also won't take place because an official contract was not signed. When verbal challenges are made and agreed upon, you still gotta get that in writing. The agents of those two men didn't do their job, so the match is off. With that said, any matches that don take place tonight WILL take place at a later date -- maybe as soon as this week's telvision programming. But the actions of a few people won't bring us down. We still have 2 powerful matches in Stephen Joseph vs. Caboose, and Zack vs. Calvin for the World's Heavyweight Championship. I hope the fans enjoy the show despite the recent turn of events. Thank you. JR All right. There you have it. Jess, interesting comments from the Chairman of the Board. JESSE As always, Jim Ross. But tonight we have special guests -- most of the people in attendence are from the Navy! LOUD CHEERS and HOWLING! JESSE (CONT'D) And everybody knows the Navy are helluva lot tougher than those girly Army brats. JR I'm sure they'd beg to differ. But the talk of the wrestling world is about tonight's ladder match for OAOAST Championship -- Calvin vs. Zack. JESSE The belt will be hanging off a lighting fixture specially designed for this very match that is set up above the ring. It's going to be a tough situation for both men. Luckily we don't have a roof, that match would tear it off. JR Who do you think that match favors? JESSE I don't know. Ladder matches are hard to predict. In singles competition or tag team action for that matter, everybody has their strengths and weakness. It a ladder match you're even. A lot of people at home think its easy to grab the ladder and climb it, but it's all about timing. You gotta make sure your opponent is in a weaken state before even attempting to go for the gold. One mistake in a ladder match could be costly -- especially for the incoming World Heavyweight Champion. And the situations surround tonight's ladder match ain't gonna make it any easier for nobody. JR And of course we also have the big retirement match between former friends now better foes: Stephen Joseph vs. Caboose. Those two were apart of the imfamous masterplan over a year ago which saw the formation of the "Deadly Alliance." JESSE The Van Halen of the OAOAST. Both guys gave massive egos. But which one's David Lee Roth and Eddie Van Halen? JR Also tonight: the tag titles are on the line, as well as the finals of the "Revolution Trophy". Fans, enjoy tonight's show. It's gonna be a good one. HORN blasts!

UPDATE The show is on the 31st, not the 24th. Everything due by August 30th.

Batman SE: DVD rumor, so take it as you may...
Tony149 replied to Downhome's topic in Television & Film
Jack enjoyed his role as the Joker and he's friendly with Burton and probably Keaton as well. So I wouldn't be surprised if Jack did a commentary track; and a good one at that. Although I wonder if it'd be a chopped up track with all 3 guys or if they'd be in the same room watching the movie together. While I'm confident this is true (with the possible exception of a Guber/Peters track -- thought those two hate each other now; unless their commentary is edited together), the way WB acts sometime, they'll leave you on the edge of your seat. -
That's a pretty good idea. Spoiler (Highlight to Read): The Coast Guard could handle that duty. They'll be on hand anyway just in case somebody goes overboard...and somebody probably will.

Batman SE: DVD rumor, so take it as you may...

I think there's a very good chance that news is true. Months ago some DVD web site (not sure which one) said WB was planning on releasing SE DVDs for Christmas. Next year is also the 15 anniversary of Batman (1989). -
Okay. Anyother matches I should know about? I'm starting to think hD! won't even be present.

IIRC, Sting signed a contract to wrestle at 4 TNA events. TNA is just milking the interviews so Sting can be around a while longer. They don't want to waste him like that.

Surprised nobody has mention this yet, but Steve Kerr announced at his basketball in AZ he's retiring to go into the broadcast field with TNT. 5 rings, played with 3 of the greatest players in NBA history (Jordan, Duncan & Robinson), holds the all-time 3 pt. FG% record, along other things. Plus he has the "Steve Kerr Trauma Center" for the Jazz & Mavs. That's a helluva career.

We're calling it an "modified aircraft carrier," (need space for seats and for anything wild that happens) so you could do that.
