I scored one from Target as well. There were 51 systems to go around and the last spot didnt fill up until 15 mins before the doors opened. It has been different trying to 'relearn' Madden but I think that once I'm used to it, I'll prefer it with wii controls.

Star Wars Galaxies

Download the trial version of SWG and try it out but you'll quickly see that they actually made the game WORSE than it's original release. WoW's much needed x-pack is hopefully due around Thanksgiving so if nothing else it'll give you something to do until then. -
It does follow Eruption. When I heard they we're doing VH, I thought for sure and was hoping that it was going to be "Hot For Teacher" Oh well.

Looks like the Van Halen song is going to be "You Really Got Me." There is footage of that at gamespot.

Podcasts are simply mp3 (some apple-heads use AAC for features like bookmarking) files that can be sent via RSS to podcatching clients like iTunes or Juice to name a couple. Those will help sync to any mp3 player. You don't have to have an mp3 player to listen, just use winamp or wmp or whatever on your PC. If you don't want to fek around with podcatchers virtually everyone who has a podcast puts a direct link to their show(s) on their website. Mine's in my sig.

You could try Audacity It isn't the greatest piece of audio editing software out there, but it should do the trick.

You're right. They also designed the PowerPC chip (xenon) for the 360.

There's a backwards compatability list buried somewhere on the xbox website. I'd assume that those two titles aren't on it.

Yes it's totally fine to have an HDMI imput over DVI. HDMI is nice in that it carries both audio and video signal while DVI does not.

Isn't the 9000 a 64mb video card? Or were there a couple of 128mb versions? Either way I think that card came out in '01 or '02 so if it can handle Oblivion, it will probably play in some sort of dumbed down mode, no shaders, adv. lighting, et al.

I'm anxious to hear how well it runs. I had top of the line stuff when Morrowind came out and it still ran pretty crappy.

It took me about 20 mins or so to do the initial setup on mine. The majority of that was spent creating an Xbox Live account since I never had one previously. That time would've been shortened dramatically if I would've had the foresight to plug in a USB keyboard to type in all my info instead of pecking away with the controller. After that initial setup I haven't had to worry about a thing. It's just turn on via the controller and play. His gripe about the HDD is fair. It does come preloaded with a bunch of stupid shit. Adidas commercials, an XBox 360 video and some of Titanic in 720p (which was pretty cool to watch once.) They should've preloaded some of those 500+mb demos if anything. My tivo came preloaded with a bunch of useless crap as well. Retail purchased PC's do this all time. It's a trend I don't see stopping any time soon. I think he's spot on about controller switching. I don't know of a convenient way to do that. That said my console has yet to switch me from player 1 to 2. Maybe the guy picked up the wrong identical wireless controller? I do think some of the dashboard features could be trimmed a bit but overall it doesn't bother me. It's not like you can get lost in it. I love the fact that I can plug my mp3 player in via USB and have 4gb of custom soundtracks at my disposal.

That was awesome. I would've never thought to do tapping like that. Bravo to that guy.

Nope, no Malmsteen in this one. Frankenstein and the SRV songs on extreme are the toughest I've tried to play (on free play.) In career mode I'm on the 3rd tier of extreme songs.

I started playing again also. This time I conned my girlfriend into playing it with me. She's completely addicted so now I'll always have a hunting parter. 40 Rog 25 Hun 15 Pal

I'm just crossing my fingers and hoping they bring back Roy Jones, Jr to hand out the 'Pontiac GTO driving game award' to 'Pontiac GTO driving game award' again.

Wizardry 7 - Crusaders of the Dark Savant is my all time favorite old school PC RPG. Excellent class/party system, choosing factions and great open ended gaming. Man I wish I had a version of that for XP.

I picked this up yesterday. So far the scares are of the cheap variety but I'm liking it. There is a demo or two available online.
