You have to beat the boss battles before the song ends or you will always lose via death drain. Try to keep an eye on when he's about to earn a power up and use your power up on him. He'll more than likely miss and then you can usually stay one or two power-ups ahead.

I think it could be alright giving Gordan the portal gun. Just balance it by limiting the surfaces that you can open portals with. I miss the marine fights from HL1. Man those were great sequences. It's not a fake. Neversoft flew some of the top GH players from the scorehero.com community to their studios to try out GH3 not too long ago. That song kicked their ass. Thankfully it won't be part of the campaign, just a bonus tune ala Jordan.

The HO/PO in Woman are insanely tough for a song in that tier level. That song was one of the last three or four in all of hard that I five starred. Six being the only one I have left.

QFT Big's right. Shift your strongest (index) finger instead of your weakest. If you want to learn HO/PO go to practice mode and do the chorus to Less Talk More Rokk on slowest. It's basically a series of HO/PO that travel the frets.

Amen .. Fuck Jordan! ... and Six for that matter. It's not totally lame having GH1 songs available for download. Being able to play these tunes and actually have the hammer ons and pull offs work is sweet! Bark at the Moon on expert is no longer torture.

The Trooper is easily the best of the new songs. I do think Rock N Roll Hoochie Koo is fun to play as well. I'm still not sold on the X-Plorer (with all of its initial problems) but I'm glad I held out and got the 360 version.
