ADAM STRANGE #1 (Of 8) $2.95 BATMAN #632 $2.25 GREEN LANTERN #181 $2.25 JLA #106 $2.25 SUPERMAN #209 $2.50 AMAZING SPIDER-MAN #512 $2.25 Damn, in the last month I've gone from reading just Spidey stuff to being a complete DC zombie. My wallet's starting to ache.

Very true. If the Sox do win it all this year I wonder how CHB would take it. On one hand the team he's been a "fan" for all his life finally gets the job done, but his little money maker seems moot. BTW, why didn't ESPN invite the White Sox into tonight's festivities?

BATGIRL #56 $2.50 CATWOMAN #35 $2.50 ROBIN #130 $2.25 I don't know if it's because I'm new to Bat books, but I've enjoyed the Wargames story so far, but I read everywhere else that it's crap. Ah, Well.

I'm a little disappointed in the pose for Razor, but I'm sure it'll be going up on my shelf along with the new Sakic. I'm not sure why another Brodeur was needed, but the Cup looks cool. I wish they would have made a Bourque like that.

Finally saving some money this week. AMAZING SPIDER-MAN #511 $2.25

I couldn't agree more, Ramos is terrible. What happened to artists that would draw things clearly and clean? They seem to be rare these days. I've heard that Talent Caldwell will be taking up the pencils for Spectacular very soon.
-
I agree with you about Knights, I found the first arc to be good. I wonder where they'll go with the pics and JJJ though. As for Spectacular, I think Jenkins is losing his touch big time. I haven't really liked much of what he's done since 'A Death in the Family'. Hopefully things clear up after the Disassembled fiasco and ugh, Man-Spider bullshit is cleared up.

Damn, another month? Oh well, I prefer PC anyway. $10 off from the PS2 price and another $15 from EA for B-Day makes it nicer. $25, isn't bad for Madden. Wait, you get $15 for your b-day? Mine is on September 4th, right before it comes out so it will be a good birthday present. Lol, my B-Day is September 4th too. I think if you register your game they'll send you one around your next B-Day. I got one last year too.

Try this place, the bios go into good depth for popular rogues and covers quite a few others too. Bat site

Actually I've had the same thought. I'm really not sure where this will go in the end, but I won't start calling for heads like some people on the net already are. JMS takes some liberties, but I think everything will be wrapped up nicely in the end. In the directors cut of the first part, the cover gallery shows the green goblin and Peter removing a mask to reveal Gwen stacy. I've seen the cover too, but I'm not convinced it's her. If Sarah is Gwen's child, she could possibly look quite a bit like her mother.

All right the long road back to being caught up on Bats has started for me. This is what I've read so far. A Death in the Family Officer Down Long Halloween Dark Victory Hush Vol. 1 (Does anyone know when Vol. 2 comes out in a soft cover?) From what I've read so far I'm liking it quite a bit. I haven't read Bats since about 442 the last issue of the Tim Drake takes as Robin story. BTW has this been collected in a TPB? I probably have many holes to plug in here though. My comic shop has the No Man's Land story in full and Bruce Wayne murderer, how where these stories?

1) Right now the titles are.. Amazing Spider-Man Spectacular Spider-Man Marvel Knights Spider-Man Ultimate Spider-Man Marvel Age Spider-Man Spider-Girl Mary Jane Spider-Man Unlimited (quarterly) The Pulse (While not a full Spider title it does contain some of the supporting cast that has been neglected over the past few years) 2) No 3) www.samruby.com back issue section.

The last appearance I can remember is the Goblins at the Gate storyline (97 or 98) where Kingsley escaped to some island to "retire" and hasn't been seen since.
-
Does anyone know if there's truth to the rumor that DC will start publishing TPB for Batman akin to Marvel's Essentials? Supposedly they're going to start at Detective #27 and go where continuity takes them depending on sales.

I don't know about every game. Old folks tell me that he once was worth something 20 years back or so. Currently though he pisses me off whenever he speaks especially in these recent cases.. Boston Vs NY - ALCS - Damn, can we have a little impartiality here? At least Boone just stayed quiet most of the time. Boston Vs NY - I don't remember which game it was, but it was during the last series at the stadium where he just wouldn't stop talking about Jeter and his fucking intangibles. Boston Vs NY 7/24/04 - The Yankees can do no wrong, at least according to Timmy.

I'll also give the edge to Spidey's rogues gallery. As for their motivations, I'll try to explore it a little more beyond the idea that they're all out for money. Green Goblin/Norman Osborn/Harry Osborn/Bart Hamilton - Basically to makes Spider-Man/Peter Parker's life a living hell. As for Hamilton, he wasn't a serious threat and was probably out for the money. If I recall correctly he wanted to become a high-end crime lord. Hobgoblin - Kingsley seemed to use the guise as a way to escape from his life as a fashion mogul. At one point he tried to become a high power crime lord, but it never came to fruition. Dr. Octopus - He's really become a cliché over the years. Either he wants to conquer the world or get revenge for past dealings with Spidey. Kraven - The seemed to just obsess with hunting the Spider. He finally won and put an hole in head. Mission accomplished. Electro - Yeah, I suppose he could fit the out for money stereotype. Vulture - See Electro. Jackal - Revenge on PP for the death of Gwen Stacy. The clone saga made him crazy, but I won't touch that. Venom - Career derailed due to Spider-Man, sought revenge. Eventually he was watered down by overuse and poor writing. Carnage - Serial killer, who ended up with a symbiote and went on to be a part of a 14 issue snoozefest. Ezekiel - Needed Peter to die in order for him to survive. Demogoblin - Rid the world of sinners so he could gain redemption. Mysterio - Originally he fought Spidey to make a name for himself, but in recent time has been changed into a money villain. Scorpion - Was paid to become the Scorpion and has been a money villain for years, so I'd say he also fits the stereotype. Well, here's a few that I can rattle off the top of my head. Can anyone give a link for a Batman site with in depth profiles for his rogues?

This may be a bit much since its been a long time, but with all the talk about DC lately I'm intrigued to pick up some new stuff on Wednesday. I need to be brought back to speed on a few characters. Batman - The last issue I read was when Tim took over being Robin. Superman - My last issue was with the Toyman killing Cat's son. Thanks for any help.

I just found a site with pictures of what'll probably be in the EE edition and a little more news. ROTK EE

It gets beter if your playing on the PC, EA left his picture and cyber face on the disc making it easy to have the complete Barry Bonds.

That's funny, I was at the TV taping where this angle started. Ouellette came out for his match wearing Bret's jacket confusing many in the crowd. Then an hour later during Bret's squash match Ouellette comes out to steal the jacket on the ring post. As for another crappy reason to feud, how about the Islanders and Bulldogs in the fight over Matilda?
-
I loved Heenan's stuff from the '93 Survivor Series. His line about Stu Hart stealing another jacket during his entrance gets me every time.

If Boston has curse, which is a bunch of crap, and the Cubs have the goat, then what is the reason for the White Sox drought? The "curse" is just Dan Shaughnessy's little baby, that made him money and makes it easy for hack sports writers to write a reason of why the Sox will lose without looking at hard facts. As for the Yankees, they'll bounce back for the WC, but these two series have dug them a divisional hole.
