I got a chuckle from the Death Star one, but after that ... blech. (And I thought the Death Star destroyed entire planets, not just buildings -- must be Death Start-lite or something.) And I think with this latest effort, Mr. Bacon has just leapfrogged over CronoT and a few others on my depth chart and is now the second-worst poster here. Congrats. (Actually Crono's stock has been rising as of late; I really need to update these lists...)

After reading this thread again, I must admit I do the separation of portions, and I usually eat veggies first to get them out of the way before enjoying my slaughtered animal section of my meal. Also, if I paid for the steak, I'll eat everything it came with, sans bones. And Quiznos is more expensive than subway, and the local store where I live seems to have started skimming the portions. Grrr. Oh, side story: A little while ago I was getting a sub for the better half and the Quiznos people were talking amongst themselves. The manager said they just got Mystery Shopped and one of the things they got busted for was not suggesting soup/cookies/etc. to customers when they were paying for their order. I said something like, "Please don't start doing that -- one of the reasons I like coming in here is because you don't try to pimp me everying under the sun." They replied, after taking a few seconds to figure out my meaning of "pimp," "Really you don't like being suggested other items to eat?" And we all had a good laugh. I then went out to my car and had to wait several minutes for this Mexican family to figure out how to lock the doors to their rental car (it had the rental plates; either that or it was stolen). Just another exciting day in western PA...

I marked out at that as a kid. * It's been a while since I've seen this but I believe during a shoot out some black guy tries to escape by shielding himself with a ghetto blaster and Bronson shoots the portable boombox and kills him...

I've seen worse hits. If the NHL wants to stop this goonery they should announce that cheap shots like Bert's will not be tolerated and then back those words up with actions. Of course the NHL has to play some actual GAMES in order to do this. I found it funny Mike Wilbon of PTI made John out to be public enemy #1 yet tried to defend John Chaney for sending that goon in on that other team's kid, breaking his arm...
