Calling Mikey Moore's work "documentaries" is like calling Rush Limbaugh an objective political observer. Like each of them if you wish, but don't be under the illusion of what they really are...

Man, there are some quotes that you just can't wait to see the reaction toward. Was one of those lines...

FAUX News & others practicing "pseudo-journalism"?
kkktookmybabyaway replied to a topic in Current Events
That was more of a playful jab aimed at the folder in general. My bad. Watching you and Steve swap posts reminded me of the time I served on Jury Duty. Even though the evidence was overwhelming at giving the defendant a "guilty" verdict, there were people in deliberation that threw out the testimoney of witnesses because they didn't "feel" that it mattered. Well your mounds of research do very little to prove that *all together now* OMGFAUXNEWSLOL2004 is biased. And, for the record, I could give two shits about what you think about anything, let alone everyone's favorite cable news channel. And no, that wasn't a vicious partisan attack aimed at your patriotism -- I don't give a crap what anyone thinks at this place, and I hope to God you all have the same opinion of me... -
This is a message board and me stating that Mikey Moore is fat is my own personal opinion. I don't need other input to back up what I think about Mikey Moore news - i've formed my opinion after watching him barely fit into his clothes on a regular basis for over three years. If you think that Mikey Moore's waistline troubles is not important then that's entirely up to you and although I disagree with that I don't think we can go any further as it's a matter of opinion. As I said, agree to disagree. Peace

Can we please take a brief intermission of "The Owning Of hunger4unger"? I have to go get something to eat. And Steve, even though you did save this board at one point, remember that this IS a messageboard, and things like facts and stats are not meant to be posted... -
What do you get when you mix Mikey Moore and PETA? The answer is below... Link

What are the causes of prisoner abuse in Iraq?
kkktookmybabyaway replied to C Dubya 04's topic in Current Events
OK -- I'm proposing a new rule. No more whining about "personal attacks." I just read a post where cartman complains about Mike's personal attacks, yet the last two posts from Mr. Cart contained: Oh, and in really important news (forget all this Iraq stuff), cartman, are you keeping your Chiefs franchise for my upcoming NFL pick 'em contest? You should have received a PM by me last week regarding this. -- kkk, who allows people of ALL beliefs in on his contests... -
Fox News threatens lawsuit over billboard

I actually had this thought, too, but I put everybody's favorite cable news channel as the WWF when they took over WCW (CNN). I'd put MSN as some backwoods indy fed, not ECW. Perhaps Al-Jazera is ECW -- they're XTREME after all. Plus they probably broadcast from some parent's basement -- much like Heyman did... -
The real humor for me will be (hopefully) when Manning crashes and burns and the Giants end up with one of the worst records in football...

Fox News threatens lawsuit over billboard

What I couldn't stand about that show is that the most interesting topics/guests are always slated for the final segment or two, and always rushed. I don't bother with that program anymore... -

Who is your teams greatest player of all time?
kkktookmybabyaway replied to Vern Gagne's topic in Sports
For the Pittsburgh area: Pirates: When it's all said and done, Bonds could probably be called that for his overall stats, but fuck him, I'm going with Roberto, with Honus Wager a close second. (I'm using "great" to include other things than just stats.) Steelers: A hard call, but I'm going to say Joe Greene, because he was the foundation to the Steelers' success in the '70s. Penguins: Lemieux... -
No offense to the writer of that article, but I found it to be pointless and not funny. You're not the only one. *cough* Because I was curious, I just read it. What was the point of that writing?...

Have you ever flown a jet airplane, Mike. Have you ever flown a jet airplane, Mike, ON COKE? kkk -- who's waiting for the Big Media tour of all those people that served with Kerry in Venezuela that say today he sucks (BTW: It's interesting how some of these people are coming out now and saying how horrible he was, yet did nothing, even praised his valor, back then...)

Charcol all the way. Once you go black you never go back. If you choose to go with gas, you're an ass. All of you can bite me -- 1) I'm white, 2) I just made it up...

Most of the bits I seem to remember were on opinion shows, or toward the end of programs, where the host tends to let his opinion shine a bit. And if you don't mind, give me an example of a "hard news" program on everybody's favorite cable news channel. Oh, and I did watch CNN this past week, just to see a local Pittsburgh talk show host that I listen to all the time go on Paula Zahn's show. She's still hot, imo. Doen't mean I watch her show though... -
I noticed the changes, too. OMG WTF?...

Give me a break. With today's modern Google search that was the best you could do? Sigh. You know, I've heard the "be a teacher, make a difference to that one child in the classroom" line before, and I got the thinking -- what if a bunch of your students ended up being crack dealers, whores and serial killers?...

I collected cards when I was a kid; mostly with the big four -- baseball, football, basketball and hockey. I have some cards from movies (Indy Jones 2, Jaws 2, etc.) and some old wrestling cards. I was never into Garbage Pail Kids though. Most of my sports cards are from the mid 80s to early 90s, although I do have a fair amount of cards from the 70s, and a few from the 60s, too. I stopped collecting around '93 because it wasn't becoming fun anymore. Sorry, but I grew up during a time when a pack of cards cost 50 cents to $1 and you got 15-20 cards. I look now and it's like $5 for 3-5 cards. F' that. There are a bunch of cards that I like, but when it comes to cash value (I haven't done an inventory in years) I think my most valuable are a Jerry Rice Topps rookie, a Lawrence Taylor Topps rookie and a Barry Sanders Score rookie. In baseball, I have a lot of guys from 84-88 like Bonds, Ripken, etc. Basketball and Hockey are mostly from the late 80s-early 90s, but I do have some older cards (Roy 87, Laimbeer rookie). I also have a bunch of old stickers that you used to buy to put in books -- not sure if these are worth anything, nor do I really care. Funny story: The last time I did an inventory check of any kind on this stuff was in '99 (I can't remember the time before that I did an inventory check), and I was going through my boxes of "common" cards, and I found cards containing players like Randy Johnsona and Pedro Martinez early in their careers. My how time can change...
