Because she's a RINO! *ducks for cover...* -
That bottom photo looks like a hippie Klansman -- sorta...

That's funny. The reason I didn't like my job was because it was running into a brick wall. It was so unproductive, and if I want to be unproductive at my job I want to do it by posting here...

Nothing, probably. I hope the T-Wolves win so they can act like they won the Championship...

Man, if one of those alumni telemarketers every call me that would be the LAST time I ever get a ring from my former place of education...

As much as I love old-school CBs like Blount, if these guys would be playing today every other play would be a pass interference call. Of course, once the flag got thrown, Blount would make sure he gets his penalty's worth by cold-clocking the receiver...

Billy Bob Thornton To Star In Bad News Bears...

What did he say? (Although I've got a good idea of what it was, especially if it came from Tanner.) It's been years since I've watched this movie. However, there will have to be other updates: 1) I seem to remember that chick pitcher making a big deal about someone being on "the pill." That's not a big deal anymore. 2) Kiddies today, when playing sports, a lot of times don't keep score because "losing" would hurt the self-esteem of the tiny tots that don't score as many points... -
The fact he's a grad student at a Northeastern University pretty much says all I need to know in order to figure out his ticker...

If we're going to play the 9/11 blame-game...

Heh. I did the same thing with the "anti-Bush thread" So now the new gripe will soon be "Quit posting similar stories in multiple threads" instead of "Quit posting every little news bit that bashes Democrats..." -
Couldn't care less? Hmmm. EDIT: Ha-Ha -- I'm on crack...

That reminds me of a temp agency I had a bad experience with. When I signed up I specifically said No Warehouse, so they call me up with a job with Alhambra, so I get there and the job is loading and unloading the Alhambra trucks. The first 2 hours you are flat out lifting water jugs and arranging them according to the cap color. Needless to say, I took my permanent lunch break that day. Ugh. Don't get me started on temp agencies. Too late. When I first moved to Sappy Valley and quit my aforementioned phone survey job, I went to a place called "Preferred Temps" because I saw an ad in the paper by them pimping a graphic artist opening. The job itself wasn't bad at all, but it was seasonal work and third shift (which I loved because there wasn't as many workers there and we could stretch out a bit). Now, I was told NEVER to talk about scheduling with the supervisors there (If I needed time off, etc.) because I was a lowly temp. Now remember what I said earlier about seasonal work? Well, there were a few days when I would arrive and they would tell me that there was no work for me to do. No problem -- I understood that going in. Besides, the drive was only five minutes away. Now one afternoon before a shift, I called the temp agency up to see if I would have enough work that night. The reason I called was because it was snowing like crazy and I didn't want to risk crashing my car for nothing. Well, about two hours later I got a call back saying there was enough work that night. I explained to her why I did this and she said "Oh, you should have been told ahead of time that there was no work for you. When this happens you're entitled to half-a-day's pay." I then responded, "So when am I going to get compensated for those days that I drove to work only to be sent home." Her: "Oh, well you have to let us know the week when it happens." Me: "But how am I supposed to know when you never told me about this." Her: Silence. There was also the time in Middletown when I applied for a job at Mid First Credit Union through The Palmer Group, but that's another story for another time...

I did, and I'm calling bullshit. So Koppel doesn't want to spend a half hour reading names because he's afraid people will be attending picnics (at 11:30 p.m. ET, when Nightline is usually on) instead of watching his attempt to exploit the deaths of hundreds of soldiers for profit. I'll believe the Single Bullet Theory before I believe this...

Billy Bob Thornton To Star In Bad News Bears...

Much like the early opinions of this thread. If someone HAS to make a Bad News Bears remake, might as well cast Thornton as the Buttermaker... -
Sad thing is he could have written an excellent column about how the media have been over-killing (no pun intended) Tillman's death. I mean, this guy did everything possible not to stick out in the crowd, but now when he's dead, just about every media outlet is going against his wishes. Personally, I got sick of all the coverage by the first day. Problem is, this grad student would have had to, you know, think before he wrote (something I have a problem doing myself, btw...)

And speaking of questionable sources, I found this funny as hell. Guess Kerrey and Hamilton don't care about the 9/11 families...

Well, you know, not having random sex with people off the street could curb that pesky AIDS problem, too. Sorry for imposing my Puritan values upon everyone. I'll leave now...

But if he did it during Memorial Day, the body count might be so high that he'll need three hours to read all the names...

I never really liked Superman to be honest -- he's too plain. The Punisher was OK in my book; he seemed like a normal guy, except for the dead family and obsession with guns and explosives. When I was young I had a handful of Batman, Punisher and old Sgt. Rock comics. That's about as far as I go in this area...

Who said anything about that being funny, bitch? I read about these two in the Gold Edition Superman four-part mini-series special that was released a while ago...

Batman and Bond are gay lovers (not that there's anything wrong with that...)

Being from PA, I can understand why Bush was behind Wacky Arlen in the primary. If Toomey would have won, there's no way he would have beat the guy from the Democrat Party. Arlen is going to have a tough enough time. And regarding electoral votes, Kerry will probably take at LEAST one of the three states: PA, MI, FL or OH. That's at least another 20+ in his corner. I hope I'm wrong with all this, but you all know how infrequent I make mistakes...

The closest I ever came was asking people to do phone surveys. Of course, during the interview for the job I asked if this was cold calling or if the surveys were pre-arranged. I was told everything was pre-arranged. It wasn't. Six hours later I was out the door...

Yep, I'm sure worked up over it. ROAR! There, you just made me throw my all-in-one printer/scanner/copier across the room. You're going to hear from my lawyer, hippie...
