The Source did -- like that means anything to begin with. I remember the UPROAR people had because the Source gave Life After Death a Five-40 oz.-bottle rating and didn't give 2Pac's posthumously released album the same score. 'Dem West Coast haters...

Oh hell no. Kilborn is the only one of the "Late Night 5" that I can't stand. However, it probably isn't my taste of humor -- although I usually laugh whenever Triumph is around. Now THIS makes me laugh. Anybody care to take a swing at the softball I'm lobbing here?... From Michael Dukakis: "Whoever the Democratic nominee will, in my judgment, be subjected to a brutal attack campaign by Bush," Dukakis said. "This is the worst national administration I’ve ever lived under, bar none. I want this guy out of there." -

The magazine was Newsweek (I was a subscriber back then) and they had this huge chart showing how many times pols voted with their party. If they voted around 80-something-percent they were considered loyal. McCain was pretty loyal but Zell was off the charts. I'll see if I can find it. EDIT: It's no FAUX NEWS LOL2003 but I wrote an article at the time about Jeffords' defection, and I used Newsweek's chart for some references. Here's what I wrote at the time (forgot I still had this around): While this statistic won’t win him (Jeffords) any awards from conservative voting organizations, his party loyalty record (which was 55 percent) isn’t nearly as bad as some other senators from both sides of the aisle. Senator Lincoln Chafee, R-R.I., earned a 37 percent rating, and Zell Miller, D-Ga., was lowest of all senators with a 25 percent rating. Interestingly enough, “maverick” John McCain, R-Ariz., earned an 83 percent rating, not too bad for someone who is rumored to make a party defection in the near future. -

I was in the chess club. Well, kinda. When I was in 11th and 12th grade my friend and I signed up. We didn't go to any "meetings," or whatever they had. Instead, we just attended some event that happened once or twice a year where students from other schools would come to our school and play chess all day. Funny thing was that half of those people that were from other schools joined their clubs for the same reason I did. All we did was goof off and talk about chicks/sports/etc. whenever we would play our match. Since I had some skill with my knight and bishop I usally won, only to get destroyed by the "real" chess players -- although one time I almost defeated one of them until I left my queen in the open. D'oh. It sure as heck beat going to class... -

I think he was talking about these. Both posts edited for brevity, not edited so I can take your words out of context -- after all, this isn't a certain news network that happens to be channel number 34 on my Comcast cable service. Oh, and JJ, I got your joke when you said it... Not all of the people in those countries are Muslim, many, like my grandparents who came from Palestine, are Christian… My mom is Palestinian and she's certainly not radicalized in any sense of the word because she was born and raised in the US not Bethlehem. Same with me. And just for the record, us Christian Arabs use the word "Allah" just as often as Arab Muslims do.
