Many of the people that used it did so just so that we could get to this point. And like I said earlier, take it out of my cold, dead fingers. Oh, and I hate to steal the thread and use it for another cause, but I found this funny. Dedicated to all you non-fans of a certain cable news network that will soon make you laugh out loud in the year 2004… CNN planted question at debate, student says By Elizabeth Jensen, LA Timtes Staff Writer NEW YORK -- CNN planted a question about computer preferences at last week's debate of the Democratic presidential candidates at Faneuil Hall in Boston, according to the student who posed the query and wrote about it yesterday in an online forum of the Brown (University) Daily Herald. During the debate, cosponsored by the nonprofit Rock the Vote organization, Alexandra Trustman asked the candidates whether they preferred the PC or Mac format for their computers. Trustman wrote yesterday that she was called the morning of the debate and given the topic of the question the CNN producers wanted her to ask. She wrote that she was "confused by the question's relevance" and constructed what she thought was a "much more relevant" question. But when she arrived in Boston for the debate, she wrote, she was "handed a note card" with the question and told she couldn't ask her alternative "because it wasn't lighthearted enough and they wanted to modulate the event with various types of questions." CNN did not respond to repeated requests for comment.

One commercial I like now is a FexEx one that plays during NFL games where the punchline is "FedEx shipping, so easy even an MBA can do it..."

AH-HAH! So that was your plan all along. Use the phrase to death, go "it's been overused" and thus send it to the slaughterhouse. You can have "FAU..." when you pry it from my cold, dead fingers. Oh, and I can see the political ads now. DEAN WANTZ DA TERRORISTS TO TAINT YOUR BURGER -- VOTE FOR GEPHARDT/KERRY (who by the way served in Vietnam*)/MOSELEY-BRAUN/EDWARDS/GRAHAM (if he's still around)/KUCINICH/LIEBERMAN. *See Mike, moderation...

Mikey used that scene, too? I remember that. Didn't know he killed his dog. Good thing he shot himself, becasue he deserved a fate much worse than that for killing his pup. Unless, of course, he gave the pooch AIDS, too... -
Darn. Po-po didn't draw any blood. So are we going to f*ck now or what?...

Wait a second here, I don't watch Mikey Moore "documentaries" anymore so I want to get this right. Mikey used in this anti-gun film an image of the Bud Dwyer suicide? I guess ol' Tons of Fun would have rather had Dwyer set off a bomb at his press conference. Then again, had Dwyer done that he would have taken some reporters with him. Mikey might have a point here... -

Wasn’t much of a zing because my future white-trash sister-in-law is the only one in that household I’m dreading becoming a family member of. And in her case, with all the warrants out for her arrests, and her numerous “second chances” that she gets despite breaking the law makes me loathe the judicial system even MORE, if that’s possible... -

kkktookmybabyaway replied to kkktookmybabyaway's topic in Sports
You were. Kinda. I did make a mistake regarding your score (had you picking Dallas), but it only made your victory that much more funnier. Your picks (copied and pasted from the Week 10 Prediction Thread): Arizona N.Y. Giants Chicago Kansas City Cincinnati Indianapolis Tennessee LOCK Seattle Tampa Bay Minnesota Buffalo N.Y. Jets Baltimore Green Bay fazzle's picks: Pittsburgh N.Y. Giants Chicago Kansas City Houston Indianapolis Tennessee Seattle Tampa Bay Minnesota Buffalo N.Y. Jets Baltimore Green Bay Both of you had 13 points for your tie-breaker. Carolina won the game 27-24, which means you won the tie-breaker 11-14. You got FOUR PICKS RIGHT and STILL WON. So you’re right. You were supposed to lose, but you didn’t... -

It seems like there's a lot of material to cover in the ROTK movie, and I was wondering how it was going to be made up in the final movie -- doesn't what happen to Frodo in regards to the "trap" Gollum sets up at the end of the film version of TTT actually occur at the end of TTT's book?... -

I heard the same thing on Jim Rome's show. Oh, I heard on the radio that she's dating John Cusack -- anybody else hear that?... Yeah that was on the cover of US or People or something similar this week. Thanks. That week's issue of US is still in the mail for me...
