OReilly: Media shouldn't support candidates

Just want to say that the "FAUX" line is based on something Scotsman does at his Web site, of which I am an avid reader... http://www.scotsmanality.com/article.php?s...441141#comments -

Right now there are legions of disenfranchised voters picking Larry Flynt instead of Cruz. As I typed this, Gary Coleman just got a vote that was suppsed to be a "no" on the Recall... -

Now I KNOW there's a joke in there somewhere, but I'm just passing it by, ignoring it like I do any roadside accident scene. Oh, Drudge says Davis out, Arnold in. Take it for what it's worth -- and at this stage in the game, it's not worth much... -
I'm sure Churchill wouldn't care too much for Mumia, too...

Week 5 Prediction Thread -- Braves/kkk
kkktookmybabyaway replied to kkktookmybabyaway's topic in Sports
We are, but in order to make the tiebreaker and overall picks more relevant, I bumped them up in the end-of-season-tiebreaker totem pole. I went back-and-forth on this issue for a while... 1) Head-to-head matchups 2) Lowest TB score 3) Highest PF score 4) Divisional record 5) Conference record 6) I give up and create another playoff slot. -
I have no clue when Bravesfan is coming back, and there is no way I'm adding up all those scores in his contest. He told me that he would be moving this week, so I'm guessing that he's not quite settled in his new surroundings just yet. For now I figure it's safe for anyone in his contest to put your picks up for this week on this thread and he can sort out the mess when he finally gets back on-line (if he ever does come back *insert dramatic music*). <<<POSSIBLE OPEN TEAM FOR KKK'S CONTEST>>> With Eagan getting banned, I e-mailed him and said he could still send me his weekly picks for my contest. However, I have not heard from him at all. So, if somebody would be interested in taking the BUFFALO BILLS, just say so in your post below -- first come first serve. Remember, mention in your post you want the Bills and put down how many points you think they will score on Sunday (that's my tiebreaker). If Eagan gets in touch with me before Saturday, then he keeps his team. If I don't hear from him the person that claimed the Bills first will take over. If nobody wants Buffalo (they have a 3-1 record so far this season) then my picks for my team, the Steelers, will also represent the Bills. Pick away... Yah, I mean last I checked, everyone was told to tell their kids at a very young age to be familiar with these terms in case anything of the sort happened to them. Now all of the sudden we don't want our kids to know these terms? Simple ways to explain thing to children. Hmm, we don't tell our kids what rape means, then they go out and do the act. I'm sure a defense lawyer would argue that the person didn't know what rape was, so they can't get in trouble for it...

This is why I didn't comment on the CNN portion of that rant -- although now after re-reading the "publicist" part it might be about Franken. That's why comment was focused solely on the LA Times... -

Please. The FAUXNEWS... is more of, in my opinion, a running gag than anything. I just don't understand where the CNN remarks came from. Is he talking about CNN being a smear merchant for Dean? I honestly don't know what he's talking about there. My guess is he's talking about James Carville, but once again I have no clue -- surely there's one or two CNN viewers here that can answer this. There's nothing wrong with criticizing FNC -- if you're a terrorist... -
Well, then I guess I'm a racist because I find most of that funny. The "riot" jokes were probably done during the time of the LA Riots, and what's so bad about using the "Jeffersons" when doing a Moseley-Braun update and doing the "ax/ask" dialect? I'd comment on how it seems OK to do a redneck dialect, which I love hearing by the way, but I'll take a pass on it...

OMG EVIL NEW DEAL! Actually, I admire FDR on many levels. Sure some of the stuff he did was illegal, and many of his programs have been perverted into the money vacuums that they are now. But damn, he had to deal with WWII and the Depression -- thank God there weren't any polling companies back in those days... -

Seriously? I didn't know that. Seeing how Twister Sister has contacted people in the past regarding their music (They didn't want John Rocker to come out to "I Wanna Rock" whenever he made a mound appearance), I can safely assume Arnold has Dee's vote since Snyder and friends would have to give their seal of approval. Wish the media would report important information like this. Oh, and here's one of his accusers. You mean to tell me that in HOLLYWOOD Arnold would go after THIS!? I can understand Clinton's choice of women, given the state he lived in, but please... http://www.drudgereportarchives.com/goto/?...rnold%2Baccuser -

Week 5 Prediction Thread -- Braves/kkk

Do your own research, b*tch. Actually, divisional record isn't that important in my league because it's the fourth option to my end-of-season tiebreakers. -
Week 5 Results thread braves/kkk...

Grumbe, grumble, grumble. With less than 5 minutes in the game, and the Bucs up by several touchdowns, I began adding up season-to-date scores. I checked out NFL.com once in a while to see a score update. Each time I did I noticed Indy got a little bit closer to Tampa, but no big deal. Until I saw 35-28. This was of course after EVERYTHING had been calculated. Oh well, doing all the extra revisions after the game was worth it just to see Gruden's facial expressions late in the game. But to make matters worse, after I had done all the revisions, I couldn't upload them to TSM because Comcast was doing the maintenance thing (Looks over evilly at MrRant). Something I noticed this week. Just about everyone, if not all, took the Raiders and Steelers this week. There were a lot of one-point games in which both players picked both teams. *scratches nuts and leaves...* Atlanta Falcons (Lightning Flik 3-2) d. Minnesota Vikings (razazteca 2-3) 7-6 Buffalo Bills (tpww7 4-1) d. Cincinnati Bengals (Choken One 1-4) 8-7 Carolina Panthers (fazzle 3-1) d. Don't know about that line because that 10 percent might just be from a viewer curiousity factor (I don't think so myself, but who knows -- perhaps Rush's gimmick would have been tired out later in the season). And having listened to Rush's show over the years, I can say that he does know his football. White-Wing -- that's good...
