I think there was some discussion here and in TCS about possibly starting a "trial period" group with some limited permissions for people under 100 posts. I was in favor of it, but nothing ever really came out of that especially after all the drama we had when we first took over the board. If anyone else supports this idea, speak your mind now and we'll go over it. I, for one, am strongly in favor of it

I agree with all of those except I'm utterly indifferent towards Wheat Thins. I just can't see getting worked up one way or another over them.

Yeah, but you're a grown ass man. My dad has good taste in music, or at least he used to, but he doesn't listen to music anymore, because of his religious beliefs. (not that they forbid him from music, just the kind of music he likes, ie. Sabbath et all) I realized how odd that was after I posted it. Yeah I'm kind of a geek. But you see that kind of scenario at classic rock concerts all the time. Fathers and sons reunited for the majestical rock power of Foreigner or what have you.

I go to shows with my dad on a semi-regular basis. Of course, we both like fogey rock so it's a natural fit.

The Headshrinkers Vs Yokozuna and Crush. I remember that was actually a pretty fun match considering all of the hosses.

Let's Talk About...The New Blood/Millionaires Club angle
King Kamala replied to King Kamala's topic in General Wrestling
One of the worst things to come out of that era; The Misfits In Action. None of the wrestlers were particulalry terrible except Van Hammer (Yeah I'm the guy who thought The Wall had potential so sue me!) and the idea of a middleground stable between The New Blood and Millionaires Club wasn't terrible but the execution was just awful. Easily one of my least favorite stables of all time. -
All-Time Wrestling Roster Draft
King Kamala replied to PILLS! PILLS! PILLS!'s topic in Draft Faggotry
Eh- I think it should be a significant period. Maybe a three strikes rule- if you miss three picks, you're out. Anyways, onwards and upwards. Since there are loads of great tag teams left on the board, I thought I'd grab one. My next pick is one of my favorite teams of all time and one of the best tag teams of the '90s. I admit their wrestling skills left something to be desired (to put it nicely) but this team knew how to do one thing, they knew how to brawl and they could brawl with the best of them. I think a series with Strike Force would be fantastic. The pretty boy babyfaces against the street fighting, take no prisoner heels. These men are former WWF Tag Team Champions and three time WCW Tag Team Champions. Ladies and gentlemen, with my 11th pick and the 180th pick overall in the All Time Wrestling Roster Draft, I'm proud to select... Brian Knobbs and Jerry Saggs...The Nasty Boys! -

All-Time Wrestling Roster Draft

That'd probably hurt more than help the draft really. I mean it's good for a loafer like myself but an eight hour time limit for picks isn't any good for someone who has to work. -

When can I make my pick? I got like an hour and a half right. This draft died quite suddenly. We're not even a third of the way through! -

The thought of Tony Garea doing the Bushwhacker walk amuses me endlessly for some reason.

Seriously, how has this guy gone eight months without getting chucked for spamming? Is the semi-new TSM that tolerant of a place? I'll accept racists, thugs, and every kind of miscreant you can imagine but I don't wany damn spammers on here!

I saw John Walters wrestle before he reached minor fame in the wrestling world. Solid talent he was. He was the guy I thought would get a shot at the big time but those guys turned out to be Palmer Cannon and The Heartbreakers. Speaking of the former, his wife used to work with my Dad. Maybe I could somehow set one up with him. I'm sure it'd be enthralling.

Review: WWF King of the Ring 1993, from Dayton, Ohio; 6/13/1993.

Don't forget his killer mullet. Though they weren't totally out of fashion in '93 I guess. I'll third the motion that Tatanka/Luger is a half decent match. Maybe it was because of my incredibly low expectations but it was good considering the participants. Almost makes you wonder why their '94/'95 series was so godawful. -
Haw! I saw Prince on his "farewell" tour in August '04. Of course, he later explained it'd be a farewell tour to some of his classic songs (Not sure if he classified which songs). Still despite the somewhat false advertising, it was easily the best concert I've ever seen.

I'm going to see Tom Petty and The Heartbreakers with Stevie Winwood opening up on Friday at TD(whatever corpration it just merged with) Garden. Also want to see John Fogerty headline Baystock at The Maine State Pier in August. I've heard nothing but raves about his recent shows. They haven't announced the other acts but I'm guessing it'll be one semi-popular national act and a couple of semi-popular local bands.

All-Time Wrestling Roster Draft
King Kamala replied to PILLS! PILLS! PILLS!'s topic in Draft Faggotry
Here's the way I look at it, a lot of these legends should have definitely been picked by now. There's no excuse that Buddy Rogers should have fell to the Tenth Round. But on the other hand but with the exception of myself and Diamonddust and a few others, he doesn't really fit anybody's roster. So in a way, everybody's right...or everybody's wrong depending on your perspective. Either way, it works out for me. Keep doin' what you're doin' fellow draftees! -
All-Time Wrestling Roster Draft

How dare you disrespect a former World Champion like Jerry Lynn, al? But seriously though, I am so glad I decided to go the old school route with my federation. Besides possibly luchadors, pre-1980 guys have been the most neglected by the drafters. There are plenty of legends still on the board and a lot of them will remain on the board for some time. -
All-Time Wrestling Roster Draft
King Kamala replied to PILLS! PILLS! PILLS!'s topic in Draft Faggotry
Alright, my next pick is a guy I've been meaning to pick for the past five rounds or so. I hate to brag but once again I feel like I'm getting away with murder with this pick. There is no good reason this guy should still be on the board in the Tenth Round IMHO. He's a guy I was almost certain would go in the first five or six rounds. My next pick is another wrestler who was truly ahead of his time and was one of the biggest stars of wrestling's first boom era in the 1950s. He has been an influence on professional wrestling for generations and his impact on the industry is felt to this day. And according to legend, he's one of Vince McMahon's all time favorites. He's a former NWA World Champion, a member of the WWE Hall of Fame Class of '94, and was the very first of many legends to hold what is now known as the WWE Championship. Ladies and gentlemen, it is my pleasure to present my tenth round selection and the 176th selection overall in the All Time Wrestling Roster draft... "The Nature Boy" Buddy Rogers Naturally, I'm going to have him feud with Ric Flair in a "Battle of The Nature Boys" with Flair as the cocky heel champion and Rogers as the cagey veteran coming back to show who the true Nature Boy is. -
Our school had some kind of "School Spirit" contest during Spirit Week and whichever class had the most kids dressing up during the various theme days got like $500 for their class. My senior class was the first senior class to lose the contest in years. Not only did we lose but we came in third. Ah, to be a part of the most apathetic class in Deering High School history. The best theme day we ever had there was "Rock Star Day" and I decided for some odd reason to dress up as one of Dexy's Midnight Runners. My Drama and Speech Class teacher asked me if I was dressing up as a French gigolo when I walked in for 2nd block.

I don't think I hated the Bushwhackers but I was certainly very indifferent to them as a mark. And I always sort of knew that they were the drizzling shits workrate wise. But I did mark out for their guest appearance on Family Matters beating the shit out of Urkel and Carl Winslow.
