I wonder who booked that Sting/Jarrett match. It sounds like a Russo idea, but he took a leave of absence from the booking team (from which he never returned since WCW went out of business before he was able to come back) a few weeks before Havoc. Also, wasn't Demolition Ax one of the fake Stings ?

It's funny that WWE blamed Spongebob for lower ratings since Nickelodeon doesn't even carry programming past 9 on Mondays.
-
It looks like Ross won't even be doing that. For all intense and purposes, he's done as a television and an on-line personality. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Thank God. I think it's clear to most of us that JR has been the main reason for the decrease in WWE's popularity since 2001. Sure, there were some factors beyond Ross's control such as 9/11, Spongebob Squarepants, Wrestlemania being held in Seattle and cruiserweights not knowing how to work, but the fact is an annoucer is the face of the product and a fat southerner is simply unacceptable for such high-brow entertainment as the unparalleled action, drama, and humor of World Wrestling Entertainment!

Ever Wonder How Scripted The Shows Are Now?
BUTT replied to The Niggardly King's topic in The WWE Folder
I wonder if "revenge" is one of those "unacceptable" words like "violence" and "hospital". -
50 Cent disses Kanye and New Orleans, praises Bush

At least Kanye apparently writes his own lyrics. -
Road Rage was OK. It was just a Crazy Taxi ripoff. They artificially extend replay value by forcing the player to play stages over and over again in order to earn a million dollars.
-
They did publish Road Rage and Simpsons Skateboarding a few years back. I don't see why this is a bad thing. They'll probably use the same developer that made Hit and Run to make their games. EDIT: I guess they won't. Radical Entertainment, the company that developed Hit and Run, is owned by Vivendi Universal.

Question: Was there any reason why they had the Undertaker start wearing purple around this time? Also, this might not belong in this thread, but I figured since I'm asking questions, why did WWF bring in Jose Lothario as HBK's manager in '96? Was that a Michaels demand? Because I can't see how the WWF would think he needed a manager.
-
I wouldn't say that. Cena is just beginning to see his fan support erode. If this continues, then a heel turn might be in order. But WWE definitely shouldn't be that hasty.
-
Why would they just reveal that on the air? Don't they know that it would be all over the internet within minutes?
-
Hopefully that wouldn't mean a return to his original spandex bodysuit which did a good job of showing off his package every time he wrestled.

Already posted.

True. But "The Original Playa from the Himalaya" is such an awful nickname. So, so bad.

What about Vader? Same deal?

Good work, Dan Quayle.

Obviously Mr. Ryland does not go for realism. By the way, are you ever going to continue your NWA fantasy booking?

Why are you all just assuming it will be like Wrestlemania: The Arcade Game? That game was ten years ago. If they can't get the AKI engine, they should license the King of Colosseum engine. They shouldn't bother making their own. It ain't easy.

Incandenza was Bertil Olssen? That was a great gimmick, man. Good work.
-
Not according to WWE he doesn't.
-
Well, they did hype two big matches for this week's show. Sadly, this fact will probably be lost on those in charge who will credit the colon surgery skit for the increase.
