At this hour (almost 6 ET) it's funny enough. "Manster"? Now you know the WWE brass is screwed up.
-
One month away from squashes and the spotlight? I don't think ol' Triple H can take that much time away. In all seriousness, he may have to for his injury, but due to his ego he'll probably "tough it out" until Survivor Series to show he can last and will job.
-
Perhaps we'll see Cena win the US Title, but I don't think the WWE will make Eddie's reign with the belt a short run. Unless they feel that there aren't enough World Title contenders (which is true), then Eddie might possibly face Angle after a two month feud with Cena in which he drops the US strap to Cena. What's funny is that unlike the Smackdown brand, the Raw World Title scene is more cut and dry. It's either "Triple H retains" or...."Triple H retains", so I think Goldberg beats Triple H at Survivor Series.

Raw Main Event: Triple H vs. Goldberg: They should save it for one of the Big 4 Smackdown Main Event Kurt Angle vs. Undertaker: If it's in Dallas, and Guerrero still has the US Title, then they're going to go with Undertaker, since Spoiler (Highlight to Read): Undertaker went over Brock and it solidified his push .

Worst poll ever. Where is Rikidozan, Lou Thesz, or Steve Austin?
-
Yes! This can be a very good feud if the WWE lets these guys do what they do best, and that's entertain. There can be a lot of interesting aspects to it (i.e. who would become the bigger tweener). Eddie is a fantastic worker and since Cena has worked with Benoit heavily (in House Show tours and on tv), it's only fitting that they have Cena work with Eddie to hone his in-ring skills after coming off a big win by defeating Undertaker. Hopefully the feud lasts until the Smackdown pay per view (Or perhaps even Survivor Series). Either way this will bode well for Smackdown t.v.

Why is WWE killing Brock's character? *Spoilers*
Austin3164life replied to a topic in The WWE Folder
While it sounds stupid that Brock is jobbing (to UT no less) so soon, a part of that makes actual sense. Instead of rebuilding Brock immediately for another crack at the WWE World Title, they're going to re-establish the Brock Monster character, so once he's ready to face Angle he'll be extremely over. A clean job to Undertaker, the guy who helped put Lesnar over, isn't exactly the best way to start though. -
RVD should've won the belt when people started to pop loud for him again around Unforgiven time. We then could've seen RVD vs. Chris Jericho at WM XIX for the Raw Main Event, or something else good. I don't like Triple H with the belt, but there aren't really any credible opponents out there. Goldberg's credibility is hanging by a thread, and I doubt Kane is getting a "World Title" run. I suggest they find a way for Jericho to win the belt, because he's the only redeeming quality of Raw.

I think there's been one recurring theme throughout four similar threads. McMahons on television = Bad Thing

Let's face it, Raw has been terrible for over a solid year now. Smackdown has its down points but manages to put out decent shows on a regular basis.
-
Due to Austin's unknown (and obviously deteriorated) neck status, I thought this match would be ** at best, but it was still a great encounter at least ***3/4
-
What's wrong with Raw? Brian Gewirtz, Vince McMahon, and Paul Levesque.

1. Casual fans don't watch because the storylines are way over the top, have too many holes, and are not believable at all 2. The Rock is gone from wrestling, Austin doesn't wrestle anymore. As much as some people might hate to admit, when these two are both active, the ratings do well (usually). 3. No alternative. No one can flip to TNT and watch another promotion to at least see something different, but within the same "sport". If I change it to a good football game, I'll forget about wrestling.
-
And there's way too much hype for it. It's going to be a bitch trying to deliver the goods.

I recently downloaded off of Kazaa an early encounter between Flair and Steamboat, and Flair was reigning NWA Champ. It was a great match with good psychology. Match ended when Flair reversed Steamboat's momentum (from a flying cross-body) and pinned him for the win.

Smackdown...hopes and desires for it?
Austin3164life replied to ChrisMWaters's topic in The WWE Folder
Angle cuts a promo how he's defeated the monster Brock Lesnar (even with your standard McMahon run-in) and that he's now the Undisputed King of Smackdown. John Cena's music hits, he enters the ring, and he starts talking about how over a year ago, his first match was with Angle in which he almost won, and a year later, he defeates a legend in the Undertaker. An Angle vs. Cena feud would be nice. -
All in all, these type of comments reveal what kind of an idiot Triple H is, and how lame Raw is.
-
Austin should've retired after putting over Rocky at WM. It was a fitting ending to a great career. Most people remember the last thing superstars have done in their careers, and it would suck for people to judge Austin's career based on a lame GM run.
-
So what superstars are assholes to fans?
Austin3164life replied to Lil' Bitch's topic in The WWE Folder
Nicest guys have to be The Rock, Mick Foley, John Cena, Steve Austin, and Edge. All these guys were ultra-cool when I met them. Biggest Pricks: Triple H, Test. Test is probably the most obvious seeing as everyone has had a bad run-win with him. Triple H was with Chyna one night they were here and I asked for an autograph, and Triple H merely flipped the bird at me. -
That SD was here in Rochester, and Jericho was a heel but was getting over huge, and it was the night Jericho fought the Big Show, and Chyna interfered to cost Jericho the match (she was holding the IC Title at the time). I think I remember Triple H telling one of the bums "You remind me a lot of Jericho".

They need to get rid of Lawler, because it seems that JR is brought back to his classic announcing form when there is a credible color commentator next to him (Heyman).

Last time a turn really suprised you

I was there live, and it was shocking when Eddie moaned about the truck rather than his fallen "friend". Of course, the fans still cheered after he slammed Tajiri into the windshield anyway. -
Brock needed to go heel anyway, because he literally lost that killer instinct that got him over during his first major run as champion.
