Does any one go to wrestling shows alone?
Austin3164life replied to Papacita's topic in The WWE Folder
I went to the June 1st taping of SD here in Rochester alone, and I had a great time. I got to start a "Let's go Cena" chant during his match with Billy Gunn, and people laughed and I had a good time with the crowd around me. -
It'll probably be Undertaker vs. Lesnar for a #1 Contender's spot to face the champ at Survivor Series.

Favorite Jericho vs. Rock match?
Austin3164life replied to iliketurtles's topic in General Wrestling
No Mercy by far is the greater match. It was the story of Chris Jericho's WWF career up to that point. Basically, the whole feud was about "Will Jericho finally get the much-needed rub?". Rocky played his part very well as usual and also sold well in this great match for Jericho. -
The Rock has already won seven World Titles. I don't really think he needs another one. WWE Title: Kurt Angle vs. Brock Lesnar (somehow) Triple H Crown: Triple H vs. Chris Jericho (I believe Hunter is turning face) Chris Benoit vs. Eddie Guerrero Ladder Match: Shawn Michaels vs. RVD Big Money Match: Steve Austin vs. Hulk Hogan That's all I can really think of at this time. Most of the matches I've named are probably not going to happen due to politics/injuries.

This match is a bad idea, and there are a bunch of reasons why. -Angle is not at 100%, due to his hamstring and his still-recovering neck -Being on live TV, there will be commercial breaks which will take at least 10-12 minutes off the match -There will more than likely be a McMahon and/or Hoss run-in -Both Angle and Brock's inexperience in the ring won't help them as the match drags on

I personally like their Unforgiven match as their best match. To me, at least, it has a better pace and better action. A lot of guys tend to slightly overrate Angle/Benoit at the Royal Rumbe because of Chris Benoit's post-match ovation. I love the Rumble match but I think the Unforgiven match is a little bit better. The one thing that the RR match has that is better is the finish. It had a more epic finish, rather than Unforgiven's quick and sneaky pinfall.

^Wasn't Mene Gene saying that because Hogan was screaming his lungs out during a promo and no one could hear or see Mean Gene?
-
I only saw the main event of this show and it was a very bad match. The whole thing was implausible and it sucked to see that Triple H was so desperate for heat, that the WWE sacrificed the health of a retired legend to get Triple H heat during the match.

In the age of information, both the US and the British governments' faults and blunders will be revealed more and more. Now, more than ever, it's obvious that both nations went into Iraq not because it posted a supposed threat, but because we wanted to control the Middle East.

Benoit's interview after winning the World
Austin3164life replied to Lil' Bitch's topic in General Wrestling
Did Benoit end up losing the title the next night, or did Eric just let Benoit go to the WWF with the WCW World Title? I kind of forgot that. -
Basically any of the following one-on-one matches between Austin, Rock, Undertaker, and Triple H.
-
^LOL! I remember that one. Hilarious.

Cena is the man.
-
This list is a horrible one. No one really had an amazing breakout year to warrant being at the top. Not Lesnar, or Benoit, or Eddy. Angle comes close but the injury took away from it.
-
Austin doesn't really need anymore dvds, but his previous ones were more commentary-style shows. I'd like to see one that talks about Austin the wrestler and his matches, and impact on the business, rather than his feuds with McMahon and his funny skits.

I agree with Kahran. Put Smackdown on Wednesday because Friends and Survivor get so many viewership ratings that it hurts the show. Although it will hurt TNA a bit, Smackdown's ratings will do better.

Angle has turned himself into a legitimate and strong face since winning his most recent World Title (his fourth). Not to mention he made Brock Lesnar tap at the second biggest event of the year (after returning from surgery only two months earlier). This title run (so far) is showing Angle as a legendary champion. If he makes Undertaker tap in their match, then his status will definitely be solidified. But I agree, Haas and Benjamin should not split up. It's too cliche today that after six months to a year, a tag team breaks up and they start feuding or they just go their separate ways.
-
They have Smackdown's on Kazaa?
-
These guys show too much potential as a legendary tag team to split them up at this juncture. They should remain a team for at least another 8-10 months, if not a whole year, to solidify their position in the Tag Division history.

I'm finally done with WWE for a while.
Austin3164life replied to Spicy McHaggis's topic in The WWE Folder
Smackdown's show was a very good show last night. Not too many rediculous segments, very little McMahonamania going on, and the World and US titles were showcased as the two most important titles in all of the WWE last night. Plus we got four matches that were all pretty good (with the US and Cruiserweight Title matches being entertaining). I'm surprised that a show such as this turns you off of wrestling, but every person has their own opinion. -
I get aggrivated sometimes, but then I remember that there will always be morons out there, and you learn to adapt and have patience.

Cena vs. Eddy was a sweet match for tv. Nothing sloppy, and Cena has learned quickly how to be economical in the ring. Didn't do too much, but what he did made sense. Eddie of course is his usual great self. Both these guys have definite chemistry, and a feud all the way until Survivor Series would be sweet. The main event scene has also shaped up really well. Angle has become a very credible champion, and this could be his legacy title reign. The US and World title division alone are much better than the entire Raw brand.

WON Hall of Fame voting results
Austin3164life replied to Lord of The Curry's topic in The WWE Folder
Zidane is definitely in the top 5 of all time. The man has been the best player of the ninetees. Pele isn 't #1. He's definitely overrated in North America. The greatest player of all time is Maradonas. No one could touch him in terms of pure skill. Then it's Beckinbower, then Pele. Back on topic, I don't really care if Shawn Michaels is put into the Hall of Fame, beacuse overall he does kind of deserve it for the talent and style he's brought to pro-wrestling. It's awesome that Benoit is in and received his much needed due. -
There's no way Taker is going to win, and I see Angle winning, but there's going to be some shady ending. We could see a tap-out by the Undertaker, and that would put Angle over as a serious and great champ even more. Even AS has to admit, Angle is looking strong and not like a joke.

The Best of Bret Hart The Best of Ted DiBiase (one of the best heels ever) The Best of Steve Austin The Best of Ric Flair All of these would be really cool DVDs. I threw the DiBiase in there because if they're going to have both old WWF and AWA tape usage, then they could show DiBiase in his golden years as a huge heel.
