Brock Lesnar Getting Heat For Big Ego
Austin3164life replied to EdwardKnoxII's topic in The WWE Folder
How stupid "Such-and-such wrestler seems to have an inflated ego backstage". Who doesn't have an ego when they're a legit main eventer? Old news. -
Goldberg's persona only works if he completely destroys, or defeats, everyone that crosses his path. Once he loses, the "aura" disintegrates. They never should've brought him.

Yeah, uh, what that guy said. Seriously, the WWE has gotten me not to care about Chris Benoit, any way possible. EDIT: Oh, and Austin/Rock WM 17 >>>>every other Wrestlemania match (even Austin/Bret and Savage/Steamboat)

1. Brock Lesnar outperformed Eddie Guerrero in their No Way Out match True. While Eddie Guerrero played the face in peril nicely, Brock played the role of the monster--yet also sneaky--heel to perfection. I liked Brock's offense, which targeted Eddie's mid-section (be it the ribs or the lower-back). Brock executed the transitions crisply and showed excellent ring presence throughout the entire course of the match. Not only did he nail the major sequences and reversals down, but he also nailed the little things down (things that an Austin excelled at). His facial expressions and body language sold the match extremely well. Not only did he put himself over by showing off his intensity, he also developed a somewhat new side to his character, a more cofused, almost psychotic side, which I happen to enjoy. Kudos to Brock, for he really broke out of the "WWE mold" which can plague a wrestler (Kurt Angle anyone?). 2. Brock Lesnar may soon be the best wrestler in the WWE, if he continues at his current pace True. If he stays healthy, and is allowed to incorporate his amateur style in his work, then he will definitely become the #1 wrestler in the company. He's young, and he's already better than Kurt Angle (a man dubbed with Brock's potential, but plagued with injuries and the WWE style). A major factor in his development would be if he were to tour Japan or work with someone outside of North America, to get a feel for the psychology/storytelling aspect of a match. If not for him being in the WWE, the question isn't "if" Brock can become the best, but "when?"...

updated rumored WrestleMania card

I don't. Big Show has been fine in his role on Smackdown, and I think gets a lot of unfair criticism. Big Show has been one of the fresher aspects of Smackdown, and I don't mind Cena going at it with the Big Show one bit. They seem to have developed a chemistry between each other. -
It's also Bradshaw we're talking about here. The only time he would actually grimace is if Triple H shoved the sledgehammer where the sun doesn't shine.
-
I also agree with Ray about the "OPINION~!" argument, because a lot of people use it. It's fine to have an opinion, but opinions can be wrong and/or can be viewed as wrong by another person, and thus, they have the right to criticize said "OPINION~!". That's the basic point of a message board. I think some people have a problem with accepting the fact that they can be wrong.

Edwards is the only guy who would put America's progress above the party-line's duties. I'm pushing for Edwards (should he somehow win the nomination). Edwards has the charisma and eloquence to out-debate Bush Jr. any day of the week. Whatever it takes to get rid of the Texas Law Enforcer.

I wouldn't say that considering the WM XIII match is A LOT BETTER, even though this one was ****+. Austin/Bret from SS 96 is probably the best match the WWF has ever put out, and (arguably) the greatest match from North America. WM XIII was an excellent brawl with great storytelling, but SS96 is just such a smart, smart match. There was absolutely nothing wrong with it. If there's any match that I can call *****, it's probably that match (along with Benoit/Sasuke).

Like Raw is lightyears better. I'd rather watch a show with few plotlines and more wrestling, rather than "Raw is KLIQ".

Which is exactly why it makes complete, logical sense for his opponents to target his legs. It's not their fault that RVD is clueless. Agreed, but why not play up his strong points? Why *try* to have a bad match? If RVD cannot improve as an all-around worker, then he doesn't deserve to be a main eventer. He's over, sure, but the way he is right now, he does not strike me as a World Champion. I guess he never did.

updated rumored WrestleMania card

It happened to be last year vs. The Rock. -
Austin vs. Bret from 1996 is, by far, Survivor Series' greatest match. Everything else falls behind it.

Wrestlemania 17 IYH: Canadian Stampede Wrestlemania 4 (First one I ever saw) No Way Out 2001 King of the Ring 1996 Vengeance 2003 Royal Rumble 2001

Horrible idea. Bad enough that people are willing to waste money on "Badd Blood" but now they're adding another ppv in June? And what of Vengeance? They really hate Smackdown that much.
-
Three wrestlers have used the push-off of the turnbuckle to reverse Austin's million dollar dream. One wrestler's attempt failed...........NAME THAT WRESTLER~~!!
-
If he stated detailed accounts of the Creative Team plotting with Triple H against other workers, I wonder if the WWE could sue him, if he had a confidentiality clause in his contract. Tobacco companies do that.
-
(RVD picks up the chance card) "You have just been fired by the WWE, and have subsequently been signed by NWA-TNA to an exclusive deal...........................but first, please visit Park Place for one last match" (Triple H is sitting across the table, holding a mini replica of the sledgehammer) "Hehehe...

8 years but whos counting LOL It's also 4am over on the east coast, so don't mind my buzzed lingo

Ultimate Warrior no-selling Triple H's pedigree at WM 12 is both the "best" and "worst" no-sell of the past 6-7 years at least.
-
They've always pushed Raw as their flagship show.

He has improved, and he can only get better. Isn't he only around 27 years old?

updated rumored WrestleMania card

It seems like the matches (especially the last 4-5, are going to get a lot of time. Either that or they'll waste at least an hour with video packages. -
That was actually a pretty fun read, especially his thoughts on how Raw and Smackdown are like night and day. It is basically true.
