A worker as over as Eddy was/is, who was viewed as an upper-carder before, should go over guys like the Bashams. Would you rather him go over Angle, Cena, Chavo, Brock, and Undertaker clean?

That's what I'm hoping for. He's coming back and wants some revenge for whoever did that to him last year. It would instantly cement him in the upper-card, and it'd be an interesting way to bring him back.

Ironically, Austin's 6 month reign in 1998 (not counting the one day hiccup from Kane) was the last substantially long title run for a LONG time.

Like HBK in 96? Precisely, save for the fact that towards the end of Shawn's run, he was getting a lot of heel heat, especially at MSG.

Ironically enough, you "Go To Job" and Triple H is waiting there with the sledgehammer in hand (his laugh: "huh huh huh").

So who becomes the next major World Champion after Eddy (assuming he has a long, substantial World Title reign)?

Nah, instead of being sent to jail you should be sent to RAW to job to Triple H, and instead of "get out of jail free" cards, you can have show transfer cards, or "alignment" cards, meaning you can turn heel/face and not have to job. LOL, I meant that you had to pay what was the value of all those Hotels, or "World Title" reigns, whenever you landed there. Your fake money equals your heat. You'd pay around 3 grand, and then pass go and collect 200. So you're getting all of your heat sucked in by Triple H, and then when you pass go, the WWE puts you over Hardcore Holly in an "Alabama Brawl" match.

Have to agree with Rudo on this one. I've said this for about a year and a half, that the WWE has such a DEEP roster, and a big enough bankroll to make their shows the best wrestling on earth. There's never been a time for Vince when he had so many over workers at his disposal like he has had for the past year and a half.

The green houses are all World Title reigns. Triple H has 4 of the HOTELS (has to be 3 houses each for a hotel) on both Park Place and Boardwalk. Everytime you land there you push is sucked dry (even though you pass GO).

Until he gets a final shot at Summerslam (after their feud cools off), and then Angle finally dethrones Eddy for the Smackdown crown. Take away a Judgement Day title shot (or a Smackdown shot), and put in the big money match at Summerslam where Kurt finally wins. To keep their feud fresh and not have it as constant, have Kurt in a #1 contendership feud with someone like Edge, for example.

I admire Bruno's pride after so many years, but there comes a time when you should put pride aside, in my opinion. Bruno Sammartino needs to be in the WWF Hall of Fame. He was THE ticket for the (then) WWWF, especially at MSG no less.

I second that. That, and perhaps Austin/Hogan for sheer curiosity as to who would get more fan participation.

Ray usually doesn't flame bait. Luckily, on WWE tv, Guerrero is getting a good push, so the WWE folder seems to be looking up (like WWE booking is). More and more discussions are arising about future programs and things of that nature. It's so hard to keep track of every poster and feud, because there are so many personalities on this board, and each one is unique, and there are always going to be radicals or flame baiters, etc.

Well, the WWE better put some working hats on, because it won't be easy booking Smackdown after WM. Assuming Undertaker comes back, I'm thinking he feuds with Angle for some strange reason. Most likely, both guys will lose their match at WM, and will want to take it all out on someone (I'm assuming). Edge is coming back (and could be behind the backstage attacks), however the rumos of him jumping to Raw might be true, so what does Edge do if he doesnt? Feud with Cena for the U.S. Title? Not sure about that one. This is what the scene will look like Smackdown's Higher-ups: FACES- Eddy, Cena HEELS- Angle, Show, Brock Eddy retains the WWE Title, who does he feud with? Big Show? Cena wins the U.S. Title, who does he feud with? A returning Edge? If that's not possible, Angle (Angle's above Cena right about now though). Edge should stay a face, because they need at least one more main event face on SD.

I agree completely. Cena/Show is getting great buildup, seeing as it's been going on since early December, and Cena (other than the battle rap/humiliation) can't really get the best of TBS (got eliminated by Show at RR, at the Smackdown battle royal). Eddy/Angle seems like it can shape up to be an excellent feud culminated by an excellent match at MSG. The Angle heel turn, while sort of telegraphed, was excellent and put tons of heat on Angle, and tons of pops towards Eddy. Brock/Goldberg has gotten the slow-burn build that's exciting as well.

That's the rumor, but who knows. Smackdown could definitely use a fresh face.

If this card wasn't so hyped up from about a year ago, I would really look forward to it.

From March until August isn't exactly a short amount of time. They don't have to have a direct feud, but always be on the lookout for each other. Then have it culminate, where Heel Angle defeats Eddie, using Eddie's own cheating methods. A five month reign for Eddy isn't really short at all.

This would be a perfect way for Edge to reinsert himself in the upper-card area of Smackdown (around Eddy, Angle, Cena, Show, & Brock). Have him keep attacking these guys, to have them all pissed at each other, and then they all look for him. That way, there can be fresh feuds for when he comes back (Edge/Brock, Edge/Cena, Edge/Eddy).

I'm not apologizing for the over-the-top goofiness of the feud, but they did have some good chemistry, in and out of the ring. It was just badly booked. That segment in Hartford captured both men very well, and their personas (Cena as the punk heel who doesn't give a fuck, Angle as the stalwart veteran who upholds his beliefs).

For it to make sense, and it would be great continuity, it has to be Edge. If it is, his comeback would make an impact to those around the upper-card level of SD.

The Angle/Cena feud was not as bad as it seemed, it's just that when Angle tried to be a thug, that's what sucked. They took away the elements that made these guys appealing and it became a clusterfuck, until their very good match saved it. The best Angle/Cena segment was in Toronto before Vengeance, where Cena came out and denounced Angle's comeback and claimed he was the main event, and Angle dissed him and then got right in his face "What are you gonna do Cena? Huh?". Great segment showcasing their strengths. That segment, and the one SD in Hartford where Cena ripped Angle in a rap, and Angle came right back at him, and then clotheslined him. They do have chemistry together, but they need the feud to be booked right.

I think Angle will do it out of pure jealousy, I'm assuming. Eddie's been getting a lot of spotlight these past weeks, and Angle (other than his #1 Contendership win) hasn't been in the spotlight too much. Angle will harp on Eddie's cheating personality, work the crowd a lot. They did the heel turn VERY well, and in the perfect arena with the perfect crowd (TONS of heat).
