What kind of system update was needed? Is there a website that's detailing whenever you need to download firmware stuff (assuming firmware updates are what you're talking about)? Well, what gets updated in the system is the firmwire. I think somewhere in the system settings is a Version number or something. Anyways, when I initially got the system, it updated twice. From what I have been reading, the updates were.. -To allow Parental Controls to be used on Wii Shop points (limiting the points and stuff like that) -Transferring saves onto an SD card..that was a feature added on an update. -Before I connected to Wii Shop for the first time, it updated. Today, I decided to connect online at a friend's house to show them how Wii Shop works, and some code came up, and it prompted me to update..not sure if I need to....

Finally, after busting my ass looking for the Wii everywhere since the launch, I finally got one today. My friend who works at a Gamestop tipped me off that 3 of them came into his store. Rushed over there, and picked it up. I am selling my GCN and some games to get some credit towards Zelda, and then just pay off the rest. I successfully updated the system and stuff. Interesting thing to note though...on the Wii Shop channel, a description appears saying how you can purchase your Virtual Console games and "new channels".....hmmm... I am actually excited for the "big update" that Nintendo is promising before Xmas.....I hope it's a music channel.

I want to head to the Toys R Us in Times Square. I bet they will have a HUGE shipment of Wiis. They better not bundle it. The circular for the Toys R Us in my area is out and they are bundling the Wii with Marvel Ultimate Alliance. I just want the system.

Apparantly, I have read that some Walmarts around the country are sitting on the shipments they have. Supposedly there is gonna be a sale at Walmart on December 3rd. I have read so many topics on how the customer service will tell customers when the next shipment comes. Around here...EVERYONE is tight lipped. I have called and asked for that info, but all the stores have said "I don't know"

Anyone in this thread that has posted still not have a Wii? I totally underestimated the availability of the Wii after launch. Everytime I end up in stores, they are sold out. The closest I came was Black Friday at the Nintendo Store in NYC. That was my last ditch effort to get it, but I arrived 30 minutes after they sold out.

Some of the people under the costume are actual wrestlers. I happen to know one of the people that is going to be in that show. I think he is part of the tag team that is being billed as twins or something...I forgot the name he told me, but yeah...interesting job indeed.

Around the NY/NJ area, people are definitely gonna have a hard time getting one. Already, lines at my local Circuit City were starting, but I heard the line got rowdy and the police dispersed the line and prohibited anyone else from lining up early. And they must be receiving LOW amounts of PS3. A Sam's Club store near me put up a sign that they are receiving only 2 UNITS of the PS3...

The Killing in the Name Of cover is the worst vocal cover of any of the songs in the game..I HATE IT, but I love playing the song.

Wow, that show has been on for the longest, and without him, the show will lose ALL of it's personality indeed. The show needs to end once he leaves..

What I get out this interview is the downward spiral his time in the WWE took. I remember reading the interviews....how happy he was to win all those titles in SUCH a short time.....how he has had great matches with alot of talent, etc.

I finally got to play this game yesterday. Definitely one of the BEST wrestling games I ever played. It has a VAST roster, with so many unlockables. I saw a full list of the wrestlers in the game, and it has everyone that matters. So many great matchups can happen. How about Stan Hansen fighting Ric Flair? Kobashi going up against Chris Benoit? The MMA matches are awesome, and the engine is great. Just like Fire Pro, some of the wrestlers in the game have their music or something close to it. Like Low Ki's music in the game sounds ALOT like his real theme, but Jyushin Liger has his ACTUAL music in the game. Also, the little touches they did for the presentation, like full ring announced entrances, and even streamers for the big time matches. It's an awesome game indeed. There is another game for Gamecube I believe....Wrestle Kingdom. It looks and plays JUST like DOR.

just bought this camera today because the last camera I had (which was PERFECTLY fine), stopped working. I had installed some stripped down version of XP Pro, called XP Lite. The other cam had stopped working after I installed it, but I thought maybe the cam was broken since the wire was sort of twisted and torn. So, I bought this one today, hoping maybe that cam was broken, but it's doing the EXACT same thing the other did! I connected it, and it said that "the USB Device has malfunctioned".... What could be the problem? I am puzzled. I even tried connecting it to all 4 other USB ports on my PC, and it says the same for all of them. It just shows up as an Unknown Device.

Sony is totally not doing something right this generation when their biggest supporters are going elsewhere with their business and not being exclusive to them as they were in the PS2 era.

So yeah...I randomly heard about Skype many times, but not sure what it did. My cousin just called me from her PC to my cell phone, and it's free from what she said. Then, I go to the site to download it, and it says that mobile and landline calls are free until the end of the year. Someone clear this confusion up....

It should be much easier to get a Wii at launch than a PS3. With only 400,000 PS3s coming for the PS3 launch, alot of them will be preordered, and then the MAD RUSH for systems that will be on the shelves. There is gonna be some hardcore shortages.

I totally thought this system would be at least 200, but 250 is still very affordable. This system is gonna sell based on how different and how very affordable it is. A price of 50 bucks for NEW GAMES is very appealing in THIS generation, since PS3 and XBOX360 games will be 60 new. I gotta preorder this thing. Are any places preordering it?

I highly enjoyed the Simpsons. The funniest part was at the end....the son has pretty much assimilated into the mafia and walks all tough like to his room, and then the door swings open and you see him playing with his toy cars...LOL...awesome. Family Guy was damn funny as well.. MOM MOM MOM MOM MOMMY MAMA MOM MOM MOM MOM!

The WCW revival scenarios should stop. There is no way the fans will buy it, after WWE dropped the ball back in 2001. And, if it did change to WCW, there wouldn't be a sudden ratings increase unless a chunk of the old WCW roster came back.

All of this is setting up the PS3 to be a COMPLETE and UTTER launch disaster. There is gonna be, most definitely, a shortage, and people will end up paying like with more than just the arm and the leg they are gonna be paying for the PS3 at launch. They will have to go Ebay these systems....

Well, the excitement of new games and announcements from companies will have to be more spread out. That totally sucks that E3 has been cancelled.
