The first ever episode of ESPN Classic's Cheap Seats featured Mid South Wrestling. The show is hosted by Randy & Jason Sklar and is almost a MST3K for sports. The show features matches and interviews featuring Ted Dibiase, The Great Kabuki, The Iron Shiek, Kerry Von Erich, Jim Garvin, Bob Orton Jr., and various others and is taken from a few shows in 1980. I thought the show was great (and fucking hilarious with the Sklars) and was wondering if anyone else saw it. The best line was "Mid South...back when wrestling had regions and Triple H was only just H... heck... a lowercase 'h' at that". The two are very mark-ish in their talking about nicknames, wrestling outfits, selling, and interviews...but good stuff nonetheless. Next week on the show they are doing the Stanford/California game that had the crazy TD run at the end where the Stanford Band came on the field. The show is on Wednesday nights, but not sure what time.

I have been unable to attend any Ozzfests coming through the area since the Sabbath one, but I didn't feel like going back really. It was fun, but vomiting twice during Sabbath's set and sleeping the whole way home trying not to lose it anymore wasn't exactly the best way to end a good solid day of kick ass music. I am in the minority that doesn't enjoy BLS. I don't know WHY, but I can't get into it. I mean, The Fest was really awesome, and I enjoyed everything up until the vomit started. Slipknot started a huge fucking dirt/grass tossing contest up in the lawn, where everyone was just flinging dirt toward the people in the seating area just below it. The seat guys were catching them and tossing them back, and then the lawn fires started. Then Marilyn Manson came on and NOBODY EVEN PAID ATTENTION. He played for 15 minutes before everyone calmed down, and then everybody was just pissed because security got all panty-twisted. The best news to come of this was that these two FINE ASS ladies about two rows in front of me had their t-shirts torn off and tossed down into the lower sections, never to be seen again, presumably. Minus the vomiting, a good **** day of music (and I arrived in the middle of the second stage acts...due to a flat tire and other assorted problems)

I still say that Pedigree looked like a combo of a HHH Pedigree and a HBK Back body drop. God, what a horrible sight.

My basic theory is that Alan Clark is GREATLY GREATLY outmatched in any kind of fight with Thugg. And he knows this. So I am trying to show that Alan is not just a "funloving babyface" and can revert back to old ways if the need arises. In this case, this match is to prove that Alan can be funloving, but agressive. It's not my fault it has to be Johnny...if it was ANYONE i would be doing the same thing. I just had to aim it toward Johnny cause he was who I was scheduled to fight. I am a face...and Johnny is a face... we both have agressive streaks... we will come together nicely.

Once again the SWF cameras have found their way onto Alan Clark’s tour bus (He must be into that voyeuristic stuff) and Clark sits watching a replay of Thugg’s interview from Smarkdown. The promo ends on Thugg’s defining words… I WILL WRECK… YO… SHIT~! Alan stares into the screen as it fades to static, then darkness. He turns to face the camera now, his body somewhat bruised from his Cruiserweight Title loss, but a smile slowly forms on his face. Hey. How is everybody out there doing tonight? Good? Great. As I was leaving Penn State the other night, people were stopping me and asking if I was scared, or if I knew what I was getting into. I could only smile and nod my head. I know exactly what I’m getting into. Thugg’s head. Thugg, you got the green. Buy a new car, man. But you had to go on the defensive. A giant hunk of gold and metal is only your pride when it’s around your waist. Buy yourself something classy...like a tour bus or something. Just not another one of those big gold tanks. As for Smarkdown...all I can say is that song is completely horrid. It got me about as riled up as a golf commentator. But I made the best with what you give me, and you give me very little. No wonder I lost. Oh, I didn’t say it before…but I was very sorry to see you get fired. That’s rough, man. Losing your job. You could have easily just … how you say it… wrecked Mark’s shit, or whatever…but you didn’t. You just ran away. What were you afraid of? You are the strongest guy around, right? You could have paralyzed Mark before security got close enough to say ‘hello’ to you. But you backed off. I don’t know whether I would call that respect or cowardice. As for what I did to your car. That wasn’t me being a coward. That was revenge. I, like yourself, am I former Junior League World Champion. You know what it’s like to stand on top of that mountain. You know what it’s like to stand on top of the SWF mountain. You demand respect. Thugg, you showed me no respect. So I showed you what two minutes with a sledgehammer can do to one’s personal belongings. Alan smiles a little as he swings his arms toward the camera as if holding the hammer Crack. Oh yes, it felt so good. But what will feel better, Thugg…is you sitting at home and watching me move up the ladder. I may have lost to Wild, but Dangerous is right there waiting. Johnny might think my mind is on a million different things right now, and that I have no clue what I’m doing…well he is thinking wrong. And so is anyone else that thinks I won’t be prepared on Friday night. Johnny, I’m sorry man. But the little greeting Thugg gave me a week or so ago is going to be NOTHING compared to the greeting I’m going to give you. I realize that I have to show the world exactly what is going through my mind. You and Wildchild are a great team, and I have respect for any team that is going to be beating the hell out of the House of Todd. Oh you know that’s true. I know you two will go into From The Fire and make those guys true believers of exactly what you and Dub C can do as a team…but right now you are the one that will suffer as I make a believer out of Thugg.
