- A fresh start, although we get the same results - The possibility of contending in a slightly weakened division - Seeing how Pierre and Jones pan out - Seeing if Murton can become the club's prominent OBP guy - Seeing what sort of season D. Lee can follow up his 2005 campaign with - Hitting up Wrigley with two good friends as part of another road trip - Hitting up the three-game Cubs/Indians series in Cleveland - Checking out a couple Tigers games just because I can - Watching new teams emerge as contenders or watching the further growth of clubs like Cleveland - Seeing the Yanks not win the WS after another big-spending off-season - And just seeing baseball. People complain that it's such a long season. I throw tantrums too often; get too stressed out and often lose sight on enjoying the game, but god damn it if I don't deep down love every minute of it all.

I'm just tired of hearing about it. He gets enough press as it is, but when the 'roids are an issue, that's the only baseball you hear about. I was watching ESPN News just now and they were talking about (surprise!). The anchor said, "Bonds did not play at all today. Pedro Gomez has that story..." WHAT STORY?!

None who write for the site, apparently. -
I guarantee these things end up on eBay.

You mean the fiasco that got Ice all those millions? The only talented white rapper to not get shown love is Bubba Sparxx. BOOTYBOOTYBOOTYBOOTYBOOTYBOOTYBOOTY!!!

Yeah, I believe he said many years ago that he didn't expect to see 50.

Unless you were his ex-wife. And I read he was pushing four bills at the time of his death, so that is most likely what caused the death. I heard on ESPN News that he was looking to get his weight under control soon since he was supposed to be getting married in two months.

Wow. I knew he was in critical condition, but I didn't really think he'd go. I left a browser open while I went to the gym. On the page, it said that Puckett was in critical condition. I came home just now, clicked the link and saw that it now said he had died. Sad how his last few years were spent. I became a fan of the game too late to really appreciate the guy. I still vividly remember him being forced to retire, though. RIP, Kirby.

I know they were. I was saying they should take precedence over weekly recaps. As it is, I can see it working out to where we get floods of the weekly recaps with a unique piece thrown in there. It should be the other way around. -

Booooring. You guys need to think about this: why should someone come here for reviews and recaps they can get on just about any other wrestling site? You need something that makes the site unique; something that will make someone say, "Hey, I need to go to TSM because they have..." Recaps are boring and a dime a dozen. Maybe I'm alone in that thinking, but I've got no desire to read a fairly in-depth piece on a lousy product. Why not have these people with "very, very deep wrestling knowledge" focus in on writing unique pieces? -
Looks like someone stopped watching after the opening monologue.

Because it's Niskie, I initially thought it said "pooping" I'll concede that I've co-opted Incandenza's traits, but I don't see where I've ripped you off Why not stop taking the bait and switch? I actually thought you had opted to ignore the comment, which would've been the smart thing to do in this case.

Oh yes. It was one of those few WB boxsets I felt I had to have the day it was released, even it meant shelling out $70+ when it cost $10-$15 less at DDD. I still need to watch The Americanization of Emily, but I finished all the others long ago. I Am A Fugitive From a Chaingang, Blackboard Jungle, and Advise & Consent are great films, but I had fun going through the box, since they were all blind buys. As much as the new one intrigues me, I hope they have another one with similar material as the first box (i.e. some pre-Code stuff and films from a wider scope of eras).
-
Yeah, I was going to wait until they became enrollment titles over at CH, but then I saw that the set's only $41 at DDD. But since CH is running a B1G1 Free sale, I may just snag them plus another title for the same price. I just need them.

I didn't know it was possible to not know that. I guess I'm in the minority of those who enjoy them. They were getting reptitive by the end, but they're still a joy to sit through. Seeing two-second snippets of an endless line of classic films just helps to remind me of why cinema's so great. The montage on controversial issues made me want to go buy the new Controversial Classics boxset right then. What did I miss? I saw someone else say something similar to this.

Here's my gripe with the site: the board attracts people who share the common interest of wrestling for the most part. So why would I come here to read about anything else? No slights on anyone who dabbles in other areas of pop culture, but when I need my movie, music, or DVD fix, a site that primarily focuses on wrestling isn't the first, second, or third place I'm going. -
Phoenix always looks pissed.

It's the Edwin heel turn we've all been waiting for. It's like if Dean Douglas had been a poster on a messageboard, this is the sort of posts he'd be making. -
That's awesome that Three 6 Mafia can now call themselves OSCAR winners. John Stewart cracking up after cracked me up. Real solid show so far tonight.
-
That'd be weak reasoning, though. I dislike country, but loved WtL. I'm not a big fan of soul and R&B, but loved Ray. A good movie's a good movie and anyone with anything resembling an open mind shouldn't let their indifference or dislike towards something from skewing their opinions.

I'm seeing Felix Pie in action for the first time today. Hopefully this is one prospect that turns out, because he's been fun to watch. Jerry Hairston got nailed in the head during the first inning, by the way.

Webber choked again. Twice.

He has a decent flow, but range of topics he raps about is so minute that every verse has a "been there, heard that" feel.

Speaking of Paul, he seems to be getting progressively fatter with every music video he appears in.
