The only one that really stands out was my freshman year when someone got powerbombed through a table in the hallway at the end of lunch. Coming from a pretty urban school, we had a great deal of fights. Of course, I always seemed to either miss them or be unaware they were happening. Others, meanwhile, could sense them if they were on the same floor. A fight would be happening 30 feet from me down the hall, I'd naturally be oblivious to it, and would only realize a fight was happening because I was suddenly being almost stampeded by dozens of people whose fight detection senses weren't as weak as mine.

I like most '80s and early '90s music. Of course, I'm not all that ashamed to admit it; I just never bring it up.

What about the plans that involve varying the amount of weight and number of reps involved from workout-to-workout (i.e. five reps of a heavy weight on workout, followed by 10 reps of a lesser weight the next)? I remember reading that The Rock switches up the amount of weight he lifts every two weeks or so to strike a balance of building mass and defining. I've followed a similar type plan, since I'm not interested in packing on muscles upon muscles; I'd prefer to build a bit more muscle than I've got and then work on defining. I have no desire to be one of the guys who loss flexibility because of their muscle mass.

It was that kind of day.

Hey Mik, what do you think about the robust figure the Fish threw at Miggy?

Ladies and gentlemen, Pokey Reese is missing.

I got ahold of an advance copy of Ghost's Fishscale this morning. It can tide me over until 3/14, but I want the album now. This thing's gonna be hot.

I don't recall him saying anything racist.

The OaO Arrested Development Season 3 thread

Every bump of this thread gives me false hope that they've been picked up by another network. -
Lucky. I've been wearing out The Pretty Toney Album since I posted about my disdain for Tush. Outside of that track, it's a beautifully-crafted album. Out of curiosity, I went and did a search and found out that Ghostface's gonna be in Detroit a week from tonight. Tickets are $17 at general admission. I'd go, but since 1) I'm not sure I wanna hit up a rap show in Detroit and 2) I don't know any Wu fans, doesn't look like it'll happen.

Obviously the bulk of hip-hop I can't personally relate to. But I find talk about tricked out cars and icy jewelry to be the least enchanting of the unrelatable topics.

Just get an iPod and be done with it. This is coming from someone with even worse luck with anything electric. -
Traded up my Last Temptation of Christ Criterion for The Third Man Criterion.

Ken Williams calls Frank Thomas an "idiot."

No, no. I love Ghostface. Just not enough to not acknowledge the few kinks in his catalog.

I have no idea what just happened. -
I love how he's completely blown up midway through. Boy needs to get some cardio into his life.

Paul Wall is...I don't know. He knows how to work around the beat, but most of the Houston topics don't appeal to me at all. I couldn't care less about cars or bling, so most of the southern artists instantly lose interest from me. Cha sounds like he's the benefit of some solid production. I've already stated my feelings on Bun, but I'll add that I'm impressed at his ability to break outside the realm of what most southern artists rap about.

Yup. D4L and related groups are garbage and won't be remembered in five years. But it's hard to listen to emcees talk like hip-hop purists when they themselves aren't completely clean in the "garbage" department. I saw the Ghostface concert clip and he could've very well have played Tush, Tush, Tush over the speakers after he did likewise with Laffy Taffy.

Probably Bun B. He's got a so-so flow, but his bass-heavy voice makes him distinct. His flow isn't anything special, but it's a style that does him well. I don't think Cha's anything special.

I'm more focused on the passing of the Old Man from The Christmas Story.
