I didn't think Lawrence was going to do them much, anyway. Seems like they mostly fell apart because of no offense.

Cam'Ron plans to confront Internet Pedofiles on new DVD

I've been told I'm partial to the more raw material found on mixtapes. That's probably true. My only gripe with mixtapes are the "DJs" who have to remind the listener who's hosting the mixtape every 25 seconds. -

I give Mos props for going in another direction with his 2004 album. But it was poorly executed. Half of the songs seemed to be him hyping the song for three or four minutes and then it'd be over. A man with lyrical skills like Mos shouldn't be going, "Oh yeah, this is hot, we gon do it right now, yeah, uh" for three minutes backed up by so-so rock. That's boring. I like Dead Prez, but most of the time, I get the feeling I shouldn't be listening to them since their lyrics are so anti-white. -
He's usually logged on, but only around certain hours each day. So I've heard. Nah, he really has no desire to post here. I'll just leave it at that. I don't wanna be the guy's spokesman here (although this vibe is really creating that vibe), but I wouldn't call him a "porn freak." He's parlayed his interest in the business into a writing gig that pays and given him connections within the industry. It's not like he's some dude who watches porn 11 hours a day...unless he's got a lot to review.

It's not a matter of that. He has no desire to post here, anymore. He's a rare poster all around these days. You could always just hit him on AIM.

Apparently I'm the only one who accepts that Tush, Tush, Tush really happened. I didn't mean my post as a knock against Ghostface, since he's right there with GZA as my favorite Wu members. Nor was I suggesting he and D4L are on the same level. Just his track record isn't blemish-free.

Sorta makes you wish Gary would start drinking again, eh?

I remember until the weeks leading up to the release of this album, I had always bought into the anti-Marilyn propaganda. I became someone of an advocate of his around the time singles from the album were getting exposure.

If memory serves, it went down in one of those "what do you look like?" threads.

I don't want a Pedro start. I'd like to see the Cubs win. Besides, I saw Pedro in 2004. Good enough for me. I'm just hoping I get so see someone like Prior or Wood pitch. I've only been to four Cubs games in my life, but Greg Maddux has pitched in all but one of them. Of course, he was playing for Atlanta in one of them, but the Cubs had Shawn Estes on the mound.

I remember picking this up as a 13-year-old with zero musical taste. I look back at some of the stuff I was listening to back then and it's embarrassing. This is one of the exceptions to the rule. I don't go around announcing it, but it's still an album I listen to every now and again.

I think it's fairly obvious Max killed her.

Cubs tickets went on sale this morning. Even after a losing season, the rush for certain games was unreal. They've got a virtual waiting room you need to (obviously) wait in until you're randomly selected to buy your tickets. Even then, the process can take hours and you can only select tickets to one game. Last year, I lucked out and scored three great seats to the Red Sox game at Wrigley. This time around, I waited nearly two hours just to get in and then couldn't find anything decent for the key match-ups against the White Sox or Cardinals. The Sox series was sold out by time I got in there and I could only find three upperdeck seats for the Cards game in July. Even then, they were $50 each (plus those lovely fees), so I passed. As a Cubs fan, I just want to be at Wrigley. Seeing the Cards would be fun, but I'd rather get better seats at a lower price and risk seeing a lesser team. Wound up pounding out three tickets to the 7/14 game against the Mets.

WP would pay 100 bucks for someone else to get in the shower.

Part of me has this sinking feeling that Dusty's going to find a way to cut Murton's playing time with help from Grissom and Mabry. And while it's too early to complain, Murton shouldn't be batting seventh or eighth again. Seems like a lineup that started with Pierre, Murton, Lee could put up some solid numbers. Neifi's presence wouldn't annoying if he were batting in a more appropriate spot in the order.

Am I the only one who thinks Thomas could be a possible sleeper for the A's? I know he's got the health issues, but if he stays healthy even for a good chunk of the season, he's a sound investment.

Hopefully that's tongue-in-cheek, but yeah, he more or less said something a lot of people were thinking about a certain such and such.

D4L (aka the Laffy Taffy guys) built an entire album around this production method. -
I take it someone's entirely unfamiliar with Javier circa 2003.

I can't tell who's being serious in this thread. But if that's an actual question, I can answer that yes, that's the real CJ. I'm sure he's flattered that he still gets talked about around these parts, despite being banned for the last two years.

Also some tracks from Ghostface's forthcoming album.

Proof that MLB prediction threads are pointless. The season's so long that anything can (and typically does) happen. Czech's comments in that thread are pretty funny in retrospect.

And has been for quite a while.

Funny stuff, indeed, but Mr. Face isn't completely out of the woods when it comes to bullshit songs.
