I missed that the Cubs signed Wade Miller. And Jose Macias is off to Japan.

I wonder if Rhodes can handle pitching in a hitter's park. Most seem to forget how bad he usually was prior to his magnificent 2005 campaign.

it's not so much that they can't move to the music, it's just that they all dance the EXACT SAME WAY...I call it the "Girls Gone Wild" dance, which is basically them doing what Alizee is doing in my avatar while occasionally sticking their BUTT out, maybe moving their arms around a bit...it's hard to explain. I mean, it looks good because they're chicks, but it's not great dancing. Right. I can't say a whole lot, since my moves don't vary too much, but it's always funny to see a different sounding song come on and suddenly, half the people are off the floor, clearly unaware how else to respond to such a change in sound.

If you're referring to what I said, it's simple, really. If something like Kill Bill V1 is actually the "worst" thing you've seen, then it's clear you haven't seen too many movies. Whether you liked it or not, there's still several elements to it that aren't that tough to be appreciated, although some have found a way. To call it one of the worst movies you've ever seen when there's pure garbage out there with next to no redeeming qualities, seems odd. Again, it seems like it's a matter of WHAT movies you've seen as opposed to number of movies. I mean, I think Kill Bill vol. 1 kicked ass, but there are plenty of better movies out there. I mean, okay, I'll give you that it's REALLY unlikely that someone will have seen tons of movies and them be ONLY the ones that are better than Kill Bill vol. 1, but it's at the very least possible. I get what you're saying, but I think all of us, through no doing of our own, have had to sit through some awful pieces of garbage. I'd like to see what else the people who listed Kill Bill have seen. I know there's gotta be a Police Academy movie buried in there.

Lushus speaks the truth. I'm amazed at how many girls think they're great dancers and really they aren't. They just shake a lot; not necessarily in rhythm.

When was the last time someone threatened you over the Internet...

I thought it was from Mike Walsh, too. Naturally, I just assumed he was a shameless self-promoter a la Mike Jones. -
I'm going to guess you aren't familiar with Van Sant. I haven't seen Gerry, but I've seen the other two parts of his unofficial tragic trilogy (Elephant and Last Days) and understand it follows a similar style. Sparing dialogue and a real open-ended story and conclusion. It's certainly a style that has evoked a real love/hate reaction from people, but I find a sense of comfort in it. Not everything needs to be wrapped up in a tidy, little package for us. Sometimes it's refreshing to be left with a lot of questions.

Which is weird. He's one of the more prominent members of the Clan and his solo work is probably better on a whole than any of the others', but GZA can give him a run for his money. Ghost has a more "in your face" approach to his verses, while GZA is the laid back cat that makes you come find him.

I can function. I won't be throwing down any real moves anytime soon, but if I'm out on the floor with other people, I can hold my own. Dancing's always seemed sort of pointless to me, but I've been forced to address it more in recent years because my girlfriend's Italian and they have a string of weddings to go to each summer. Traditionally, I'm more reserved with these sorts of things, but the last wedding I went to last December was the first time I not only danced without really being forced to, but more or less was on the dance floor throughout the duration of the night, even when my girl took the occasional break here and there. Whether that had anything to do with me being a more frequent occupant of the bar that night than other gatherings or not, is anyone's guess.

The only people I've known to call Kill Bill awful or "the worst movie" they've ever seen are closed-minded people who've been conditioned to think that half of the crap mainstream Hollywood runs out each year is worth watching.

I wouldn't sweat it then. If that's the case, the buyer had two other people file a NPB form against him, since it takes three of them to get you the boot. -

No shit. I considered making that my sig the moment I read it. Regardless, this supposed U of M superstar sure has some lousy grammatical skills. Being an eBay seller, I've dealt with these types; what did the whole thing start over? -
What a meltdown. The finish was hilarious.

Even Cubs fans don't call the season in JANUARY. And Mota for Crisp would be awful. Have you seen Coco play? Guy's a respectable hitter with a nifty glove.
-
I'm still not seeing the appeal of Mota. This guy was a potential diamond in the rough during his days in LA, but he's really looked like a dud since the trade to Florida.

I don't even think he's that good of a rapper. He's more of an entertainer with a knack for clever word play. Luda didn't delve into a myriad of topics in his first two albums, but his third outing still felt like a paint-by-number rap album.
-
Reading through the posts, I'd take a stab in the dark in saying you haven't seen many movies if your choices are the worst movies you've ever seen.

I guess I liked their last album more than others. Different from what they'd done in the past, but still solid on a different level. I'm intrigued. His first two LPs are fun experiences; not necessarily great rap, but not a whole lot you'll skip over either. Chicken 'n' Beer really soured me on Luda, although his follow-up wasn't as bad. Or so I hear. I can't get into the first single. It's different, but it's too disjointed to make for a good listen. The Pretty Toney Album was a mixed bag, but I'll typically take what I can get from the Wu. At least he's got some good workers on the boards. Outside a handful of tracks, I don't care too much for T.I. This is probably the most intriguing release on the list. Their sound seems to shift from album-to-album, so I'm defintely curious what this will bring. My rap guilty pleasure. He's a lazy emcee, but his charisma and producers he collaborates with usually make for some memorable joints. I believe I've heard a track or two from what should be on the album; good stuff. Should be interesting to see if he can rebound from the bloated, hit-or-miss experiment that was his last LP. Ugh. Perfect example of what can happen with the right producers. Game doesn't almost nothing for me, but thanks to getting virtually every hot producer on his debut, that "classic" status he's talking about doesn't seem that ridiculous.

Had $10 in Best Buy Reward Zone certificates to burn and since this is one of those albums I downloaded long ago and loved, it only seemed right to pick up the real deal. As an aside, this is probably one of my favorite album covers to come down the pike.

Que? Uh oh, looks like someone's not familiar with the Ninja Rap. Go ninja, go ninja, go ninja, go, go, go, go, go.

That just creates the idea that the more posts you have, the less you suck. There are people here with thousands of posts and are just awful. I don't frequent the WWE folder, but when I have recently, I've noticed that there are a lot of new posters all over the place that seem to have a real interest in the product, but on the level that you question whether they're aware it's scripted.

That's the thing, they really aren't making news. Theo's newsworthy, but outside of that, what else have they actually done in the last two or three weeks? Willie Harris? It'd be different if they were making news that was, well, news. These mega-trades have never seemed at all possible and yet, we've had snaps where there'd be new ones or new twists to old ones. After a while, you'd just prefer them to be honest and say there's no news to report. I'd stop worrying about Manny, a player you guys still have, and focus on filling gaps at short and in center.

He has no ties to the Red Sox organization. Get the hell out of this thread!

The Boston Red Sox are like General Hospital circa 2006. Daily drama and twists, but meh, who really cares?
