Can you buy online? In my experiences, Target's lousy with stocking that many of the non-blockbuster flicks.

Cubs are about to dump $12 million for another reliever. Looks like they're trying to rip off the White Sox approach of a solid pen and unimpressive offense. These signings just about do in most of the young guys that have been hanging around the club.

I would think Philli is paying most of the contract and Thome will be DHing. Konerko could still come back. I don't understand this trade for Chicago. Getting rid of a GG caliber OF that can hit you around 20 homers a year for a guy that could be done. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> I'd imagine it's mostly because of Konerko's uncertain status. Actually, the Sox not making him an official offer and this deal would suggest his status is known. Good move for the Phillies, who will finally fill the gap in center, let Howard get a full-time spot, and clear Thome off the books for the most part. Still think they could've filled two or three holes by dealing Howard, but most people just wanna look at this thing on the surface.

Highlights from the launch include: - A 17-year-old being robbed of his newly acquired 360 outside the store. - An EB Games being involved in an armed robbery for two 360s. - Several reported fist-fights at various stores. Dem video gaming nerds be some fiesty ones.

Looking at my first post, I see it's a bit harsh. Nothing wrong with waiting out a bit for something you like. I've gone to Wal-Mart on occassion to get a must-have DVD. But the people who literally camped out for 24 hours to get one don't do much for the legendary video gamer stereotype.
-
Reading other boards about various launch stories, I must say: what a bunch of god damn nerds. Camping out starting YESTERDAY AFTERNOON for a video game system? C'mon.

I wouldn't have known the musical number was from LSOH if my girlfriend hadn't told me. Even then, it was still creepy. Why is no one talking about the Michael Jackson bit? The visual of a 3D Jackson running off with a kid while everyone keeps watching the show was great. That and Quagmire while Stewie's ears were covered.

Wow, are the Marlins really looking to slash $25 million off their payroll?
-
Well, at least they've got the funds now to resign Juan Encarnacion!
-
I think the deal would be a winner for the Marlins just so they could dump Lowell's bloated contract. Cards have told Brian Giles that they're looking at pitching now, so I guess that'd make the Yankees the frontrunners to get him and improve that lousy offense. They could afford the loss of defense, anyway.
-
Yeah, taking on an aging one-inning guy who is demanding everything but the moon seems like a logical move for the always cost-cutting Atlanta Braves.
-
I'd imagine lack of defense.
-
And 33-years-old. I love how so far, the Cubs are acting like this is Brewster's Millions and they need to spend all the surplus in 30 days.
-
Cubs sign Scott Eyre to a two-year deal with a player option for 2008. Hey, a veteran Dusty Boy. I was just thinking the Cubs didn't have enough of those.

Crying over a wrestler's death is pathetic

That's because nobody wants to bring up how ironic it is for someone with as many emotional problems as you have shown (and admitted to over the years) to be telling others how they're acting isn't normal. I was under the impression that the "room is spinning" line was just an exaggeration used by BX to mock DH about the Bossman's death. Maybe I'm wrong, though. -
The title of this thread could've either been "Geek Pick-Up Lines" or "Every Message From A Guy To A Moderately Attractive Girl On MySpace." The latter doesn't really have a nice ring to it, though, I guess.

I know the Braves got the playoffs and the Cubs didn't, but Jones in second is bullshit. You take out Lee and the Cubs are probably looking up at the Reds. But nope, it's all about "OMG LOOK AT ALL THOSE HOMERS JONES HAS!" We'll ignore that the Braves were utter shit prior to the rookies coming into the picture.
-
I hope by "contacted" they mean told him never to even think about playing in Chicago. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> He can't possibly be the worst Alex Gonzalez to play for the Cubs. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Yeah, but why would we want to have the second worst? Not like we can dump him on Montreal.

For once, I agree with Fishyswa. -
I hope by "contacted" they mean told him never to even think about playing in Chicago.
-
We did. And re-signed him for two years.
-
My favorite line of that entire song probably is the least misogynistic one in there. "You want lobster, I'm thinking Burger Kang."

Not just that you deleted a board. You deleted it because a girl, that you don't even really know, decided she didn't want to talk to you anymore. -
For the record, the shots at DH are beyond stale. At least in regards to this subject. Why don't you guys go do something else?
