Blah. Astros had a lot of help from the umps throughout the series, but it still doesn't justify the Cards' bats going cold. Houston pitching had better keep it up. I guess I'd rather see Bagwell and Biggio get rings instead of having to listen to any White Sox broadcasts in 2006 if they were to win the WS.

You know, it's not really anyone's business what you do. Problem is when people make a point of letting everyone know their business. If you wanna drink a shitload of booze, go right ahead. But the pics of the empty bottles just reminds me of the people who get wasted to brag about it later and not so much because they actually enjoy it.

That may have been one of the greatest things I've ever witnessed in baseball as it was happening. Stros weren't just an out away from the WS, they were a strike away. I was sure it was over. When Edmonds drew the walk, I had a feeling Albert would save the day. I still don't get why everyone's writing the Astros off. Cards still need to beat Oswalt and Clemens and have the same offensive issues plaguing them. I'll say that I'm much more confident the Cards can take the series now that they've managed to send it back to Busch. Kinda nice to see Garner's highly-praised late-inning defensive moves bite him in the ass. Not saying Biggio would've made the difference, but surely you'd rather have him up there over Vizcaino.

It's not. It's Al's! Astros better win the Series.

Now that Houston's involvement in the WS is almost inevitable, I think it's time to back them. As much as I dislike them, it's time to see Biggio and Bagwell get their rings.

Not issuing walks was clearly a key factor that allowed the Sox starters to go the distance. Regardless of who represents the NL, the WS is going to be a ridiculously unpredictable story. Still, I think the Sox have the best chance to win it all. They've shown they can score ample runs when needed and hit with RISP. As much as it saddens me to see this happen, I can't deny how much it's deserved. I just won't take the mute off any Sox telecast in 2006.

Worse yet, the Astros or White Sox are likely to hoist the trophy. White Sox made a lot of people look foolish.

Well, the Cards now have to beat Pettitte, Oswalt, and Clemens. HAW! Backe was the pitcher to beat today and their offense didn't get it done. The umpiring didn't help at all, but the Cards have been a team to go above and beyond poor umpiring.

I hate baseball.

The umps are just handing the Astros this game. How the fuck do you throw out a batter with legit beef in the middle of an at-bat?

What do you look like... (Pages 1 2 3 ...73 )

Holy crap, Bryant Gumbel posts at TSM. -
Please translate that into proper MLA format.

The sad thing is he sounds better than he did in Game 1. I don't have much more hope for tonight's outing. It wouldn't mean all that much if the Angels were up 2-0 instead of tied at the moment.
-
Yeah, I thought that was weird. He exclaimed "Konerko!" before he even made contact with the ball. I assumed it was a delay in the feed or something. But the way the Angels' offense has been going lately, this game already seems out of reach.
-
Didn't see that coming.

Well, Vizcaino and Bagwell do look alike. Pre-game starts at 8. The first pitch was slated for 8:28.

<{POST_SNAPBACK}> That "burn" basically equates to Pee-Wee Herman's "I know you are, but what am I?"

I vaguely remember the series. Taped it, even. The only scene I vividly remember was him eating a sub really fast.
-
Was your shirt untucked afterwards?

That's not too uncommon, actually. My girl's dad puts up a bit of a struggle everytime Mexican food is part of dinner. The man loves his pasta, salad and wine.

Most people post during the season. Not just when their team clinches a playoff berth.
-
Is that why I can't remember him posting in a baseball thread before the last week of the season?
-
Yes, they certainly looked like they had a clue what the hell was going on.

The hook sounded a lot like "Grime with me." One could've easily mistaken it for a shower cleaner jingle.
