This thread reminded me that I need to pawn off my Yearbook edition of the DVD set before it gets re-released in October. "Limited, never-to-be-made-again collector's edition" my ass.

I like how they keep driving the point home that Andre's in the best shape of his life, when the complete opposite is true. And Boris Zukhov's main appeal was apparently his huge head.

Sweet Lou has put Fukudome on notice to start hitting more, lest he find himself in some sort of platoon with the likes of Mark DeRosa and Reed Johnson.

That Sunday night game probably seemed like a real winner when the four-letter network originally picked it up. The list as a whole is a pretty uninspiring collection, aside from the two Dodgers games.

In an ironic twist, the Cubs fail to capitalize on the fact that Carpenter is on a pitch count, but he gets hurt, anyway.

Sheets is using up his one non-injury season during his walk year. I wouldn't waste the money on him.

Don't worry, Washington is awful. I love the Brewers' commentators whining about Milledge showboating after his homer. Lord knows every Brewers puts his head down and runs after every homer.

The AIM Away Messages of a Bi-Polar

Oh no! The internet isn't reliable today! What a miserable existence. -
Quite the debut for Livan Hernandez in Colorado.

I saw my brother get married yesterday. I'm pretty cynical about the concept of marriage, but the ceremony was some straight-out-of-a-movie shit. Outdoors, beautiful and not humid (a concern since it was in North Carolina), great music, an exquisite bride and some very touching personal vows. My mom said later that almost all of the bridesmaids and groomsmen looked pretty choked up for the majority of the ceremony. As an added bonus, our favorite uncle, who wasn't going to come (we live in Michigan) surprised everyone by showing up 40 minutes before the ceremony was slated to start. He somehow kept it a secret all this time, even though I work for him and he sees me and my mother almost every day. The whole experience was flawless and though I've been critical of him marrying at a relatively young age (22), it was a fantastic evening where everything just fell into place.

I need to see it again, but a first viewing disappointed me. I don't really desire an action movie with these actors, over-the-top or otherwise. There were some great one-liners and it feels like a movie that could grow on you, but as it was, it was unnecessarily long flick with a shaky plot.

Sucks because everything I read last week about him being in the hospital emphasized he was expected to make a full recovery. That's the last time I listen to the media.

I can't believe how shitty the Tigers' pen is. Fernando Rodney actually throws down three great scoreless innings and then Zumaya gives up four in the bottom of the inning. None of this probably happens if Renteria doesn't bobble and KICK the groundball that scored the seventh run, but would've also been the second out. Thome struck out after that and then Swisher homered.

I'm so sick of this story. At least the Michael Vick saga was interesting and warranted the amount of coverage it got. I don't dislike ESPN as much as most here do, but they've made this uninteresting story even more monotonous with the constant coverage and letting it spill it non-football related programs. Who in the world cares what Steve Phillips and Orel Hersheiser have to say about the Favre situation?

Lou needs to get over his fascination of using Bob Howry in any remotely important spot. The guy has an ERA over five and has given up over a dozen homers on the season, including one today to Carlos Lee that briefly put the Astros up. The Cubs came back in the bottom of the inning and scored five, though, so Howry wound up with the win.

No, it was the realization that they couldn't keep the first baseman on the field that got the them pulled off the field. I guess they'll need to make note on the Cubs World Series DVD that they lost twice to Brian Moeller.

Most reliable external hard drive brands?
Bruiser Chong replied to LucharesuFan619's topic in Technology
I've had my Western Digital external HD for nine months and no problems thus far. I am a bit concerned, however, about the quantity of porn that has found its way on there now that storage availability is not an issue. -
What a bitch that Berkman. Scrappy Reed Johnson would've taken a bolt of lightning like a fucking man.

Manny Parra and Prince got into a shoving match in the dugout. It's all part of the plan.

Marvelous so far. Thanks, VX. I was slowly going insane waiting at least 30 seconds for most pages to fully load.

The AIM Away Messages of a Bi-Polar

AIM transcripts between this girl and Milky would probably cinch that status. -
Have friends been merged into one giant clusterfuck, or are you still able to browse by network and I'm just not seeing it?

I thought the ninth inning showed just how much fight this Cardinals team has, but also, just how incredibly shitty their secondary players are.

Skip was part of the dying breed of announcers who call it like it is and don't worry much with sugarcoating things or aiming to please. I'm too young to remember his commentary during the barren days of the 1980s Braves, but he was quite the cutup in the booth when Braves pitching went from being world renowned to an utter joke a few seasons back.

Oh, Cardinals bullpen. I'll bet Al did the worm in his living room after that one.
