Quiet, Al. We all know no-hitters come from intangibles. Intangibles, I say, intangibles!

What in the world are you talking about? He's given up three walks through six innings and has gone to three balls against six. I'm watching the A's/Angels game and almost in the same breath, the Angels' color guy mentioned the no-no and said it had been broken up.

Unless it's all for personal use, I don't see a point in looting stuff like clothing and electronics. I can't imagine there'd be much of a market for that sort of stuff in that area right now.

The less Game, the better. That's because it wasn't even his intent to address the situation. Only after others drew parallels did he wise up and do a remix that focused on it.

Gas here went from $2.59 earlier in the day to $2.99. Once again, a bitch costs us all more money.

It was expected weeks ago that Wood would be shut down eventually this season. And thank the good lord, Todd Hollandsworth is now an Atlanta Brave(s). Good to see Jim Hendry take away one of Dusty's toys.

D-Rays have been playing excellent ball since the All-Star break.
-
Jason Giambi with two homers and seven god damn RBIs.
-
Red Sox DFA Mike Remlinger. And the Cubs are considering shutting Aramis Ramirez down for the rest of the season.

I'm one of the people who don't understand teenage engagements. Seemed like I knew far too many people in high school who were "engaged," when what they really were was with a girl they wouldn't be with come the next season. Promise rings and the like make me laugh, too. I see that shit being distributed around me from time-to-time, and I just wanna ask the guy if he realizes that it's not the middle ages and he should be alive for a while, so why would he wanna commit right now? It's a fact that the male brain doesn't mature until the age of 25. Hence, I think major decisions (like who you intend to spend the rest of your life with) should be put off if possible until that time. For the ones I know who actually went through and got married, I can't tell you of any it actually worked out for. It's ridiculous how much someone can change over the course of the later teenage years and early twentys or so. What someone that age longs for today will be exactly what they want nothing to do with a week from now. I've made my feelings on young marriage known elsewhere, but really, unless you've found your soulmate, getting married at such a young age is a disaster. You may get along for a couple of years, but by time you guys hit your late twentys and begin to realize that the other one isn't really the one for you and you've wasted a good chunk of your prime years trying to force something to work, you aren't going to be too happy.

Roy Oswalt may have already sealed the Astros' fate in this game. Five earned, three walks, and 42 pitches in the FIRST inning.
-
I wouldn't worry until the postseason.
-
That's odd that KC didn't bring its closer in, even when the game got within reach of the Yankees. Instead, they leave a guy with a +7 ERA in to get the job done.
-
I just hope someday, the Cubs can drive a runner in with less than two outs, using something other than the longball. Ah, dare to dream! A Reds win tonight puts them into a tie for fifth place.
-
You shouldn't generalize. I hate the Cubs for no good reason, much like a lot of people hate the Yankees. Mostly for their whiney fucking woe-is-me fan mentality. To me they are the pre-2004 Red Sox of the NL. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> That's priceless coming from a Yankees fan.
-
Matt Lawton close to being a Yankee, according to ESPN. I would imagine this is more of a defensive move than anything else.
-
Because outside of White Sox fans, not many people have a desire to see them win. You can hate the Cubs if you'd like, but even passive baseball fans want to see them win it all. Or at least, more than they'd like to see the White Sox win.
-
Fuck. My fantasy team has as much luck as the Cubs.
-
They won't. It was a great inning, but the Cubbies are dead in the water. The last couple of innings featured Lee in position to tied it or put them ahead and both times, he struck out.
-
But what did any of it have to do with the Cubs besides Czech being one of their fans?
-
Oh great, that's like the Marty Jannetty vs. Jim Neidhart of baseball matchups. And even worse, they're capital smallball offenders, so you can bet we'll be hearing about productive outs! Blah. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> At least in that scenario they MADE it there, which is more than I can say for the North Siders... <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Ah, always the opportunist for taking the cheapshot.

I'm seeing now that NOMAR is going to be playing third for the first time in his career. This could be interesting.

Aramis Ramirez hits the DL and Ronny Cedeno is recalled to ride the pine. I don't think I'll even bother watching today's game. Seeing a left side of the infield featuring Jose Macias and Neifi Perez is too depressing, especially against a contender.

Late Registration has just as many lame ass skits as College Dropout does. What album did you listen to?

If it's anything like Circuit City, they'll do it, but it's only good for about a month or so. If they weren't to get any more in during that time, it'd be no good.
