The Tigers just aren't going anywhere with the pen the way it is. Jones isn't a great closer, but he generally nails down the save opportunities. Rodney draws them out as long as Jones does but blows them. How many walk-off walks have the Tigers' pitching staff been responsible for this year? The O's lost, too, which no doubt hurts their very real shot at the AL Wild Card.

What the hell is going on in the Bronx? Nady hit that homer and when the Angels had one down in the eighth, I changed the channel. I switch back and they're up by one? I would've loved to see that unfold.

Just when you think Marvin can't get any more delusional about the O's. Look, they're terrible. They aren't going on some huge run where they're able to leapfrog teams such as the Red Sox, Yankees, Twins, and Tigers. You know why? Because those teams don't suck like the O's do. There are only three teams in the AL who have a worse winning percentage than Baltimore does. Marvin is perhaps unfamiliar that even shitty teams go through the occasional hot streak during a six-month season.

There was also that Best of the WWF tape that had a segment of new stars or something to that effect and included Race with them. I'm pretty sure Keith mentioned that in his review of the video, too.

The AIM Away Messages of a Bi-Polar

Nah, I want no part of this. She doesn't post on any board I know of, so me posting on other boards is irrelevant. -
I'm not going to defend the guy when he's regularly blowing games. You guys were crapping on him the moment he hit a bump in the road after a great start because of your existing bias against him.

Whatever the technical term is for the thing T-Pain uses to ruin the music industry. Some other notables from the mixtape: - He's got a song where he uses the "Put On" beat, which is nice since it means you can listen to the beat and not have to also put up with Jeezy. - There's a track about Obama/Bush/McCain on there that's causing a bit of a stir. Oh, politics.

I'll shoot Milky her screen name if he agrees not to bring me or this board into any of the discussions. In other words, it's up to his creativity as to how he explains he obtained her AIM handle. -
The Twins and Tigers look like they're going to waste a perfectly good White Sox loss to the Royals. Any clue what the reason behind Andruw Jones' steep decline so quickly? It was only a couple years ago he seemed like he'd turned a corner and taken his offensive game to a new level.

I love Firefox, but for whatever reason, it just eats away almost all of my computer's memory. I've got a gig of RAM and yet, it's not uncommon for my computer to come to an almost standstill with two tabs open and very few other programs running. I check Task Manager and it's always Firefox that's taking up to as much as 95 percent of my CPU. What the hell?

Griffey has left the game with leg cramps. That didn't take long. And CC Sabathia is not human. It doesn't help that the Braves aren't any good.

I've conceded the fact that any team that has a large following is going to have its share of ignorant fans.

Yeah, but be prepared to roll up those sleeves and get to work. She's not even really being obscure about the matter anymore.... Lucky bitch has a balcony. How can anyone be depressed if they have a balcony? -
Methinks the Cubs figured today's game against Pirates Lite would be a cakewalk after demolishing the Brewers all week. Oops. Go get 'em tomorrow, I guess.

Perhaps I should run an essay contest to see which TSMer will be granted the young lady's screen name. The contest would ultimately be rigged to let Milky win, even if he didn't write an essay. But in the interim, anyone who feels they are a true candidate to converse with this girl and not make her even more suicidal should post an essay that does not exceed 500 words (I'm not a god damn teacher) by Aug. 5. -
Didn't Zito miss a start earlier this season because the Giants were contemplating putting him in the pen? Not an injury-related missed start, but a missed start all the same. Point taken, though.

Well, if I were ever to dispatch any TSMer onto this poor girl (and I won't), it'd be NightMilky. Actually, if I weren't convinced she'd eventually see this four-page shrine to her batshit insanity, I'd probably give her screen name to him. The results could be interesting, if not downright entertaining. -

She's going to kill herself. How's it going to make you feel knowing that this poor girl died alone and in desperate psychic pain and you just sat back and watched and laughed and did nothing to help her? You disgust me, sir. I hope you are tortured by guilt for the rest of your days. I can't tell if this is tongue in cheek, but at any rate, she's got friends to console her. Her few positive away messages say as much. Is it my fault she seemingly forgets about these sources of stability an hour after praising their importance. I have doubts any of us contacting her via AIM would lift her out of this oh-so-shitty phase called life. "Hey, this is The Czech Republic. I post at a pro wrestling message board called The Smart Marks..." -
To the Cubs' credit, they're being very careful with Harden. He's clearly on a pitch count, despite the fact that he's dominated in all of his starts for the team so far.
-
Stone's still tolerable when he drops in on The Score, but his arrogant demeanor is amplified any time he's calling games for the Sox to the point where he enters Hawk and DJ territory.
-
I like Jim Edmonds. He hits grand slams for the Cubs.
-
That isn't how you spell Manny Ramirez, idiot.

I accidentally paused it right when she flashes a big smile and must subsequently completely disagree with your statement.

Word on the street is the one here in town isn't closing down because it's independently run or something like that. Good news, too, because that's our de facto sit-down hangout restaurant since we know some of the bartenders who are pretty good about not taking additional drinks on to our bill.

No smart marks interference. That would disrupt this social experiment to see just how long she can drag out the melodramatic woe-is-me schtick before doing something, for better or worse.
