Clement has a history of control problems. He would often get himself in tight situations, but could usually make the right pitches to escape with minimal damage.

Let's make a Royal Rumble poster of ourselves.

Maybe he's just got some Sid-like traps. -
Except it made no sense in regards to what he quoted. Oh, I get it. Not buying crappy CDs = gay. Took me a minute there.

Your feet really point in that direction? Were you in some sort of industrial accident? -
I guess you forgot Game 7.

See, the thing is, so few new CDs are worth actually going out and paying for. I do buy an album if it's worth paying money for. But far too often, I've liked a song or two, downloaded the rest of the album, and it's turned out to be crap. File-sharing for me has been a way of getting a preview of what's worth my money and what isn't. Moreover, I use it to make compilations that wouldn't be possible in the legal sense without buying 15 albums. Not gonna happen, nor should it if one song is all I'm after.

I guess you forgot about the 2003 NLCS.

Man, the Cubs are taking years off my life. They loaded the bases in the 10th and couldn't score. Granted, this Delarosa kid has some great stuff, but man, these games are so addicting which is why the defeats are so crushing.

Well, Giambi's defensive shortcomings just cost the Yanks their starting pitcher for the day. After missing a pop-up in foul territory that should've been caught, Mora's at-bat was prolonged. On the next pitched, he lined one back up the middle, SMACKING Pavano in the head so hard that the ball shot over to the Yanks' dugout.

Bonderman picks the worst time to get rocked. Six runs in the first inning. Not what I needed to see today.

You haven't seen the Giants pen in action yet, have you?

Alfonseca gave up the GW homer. I was quite used to such performances during his stint with the Cubs.

Now there's the Alf I remember.
-
To his credit, three were unearned.

I think Barry Zito had a worse second inning. Ouch.

Hawkins is getting warmed up in the pen, even though it'll be in a non-save situation. Probably good to get him some work in with a four-run lead.

The Brewers are a lot like the Reds. Some good talent in their starting lineup, but once injuries hit, there's no depth and that's when everything falls apart.

Forget the saggy breasts, I remember a time when she didn't look so beastly. I saw her during the HOF show and thought HHH had gotten back together with Chyna.

Well, you didn't really think one starter and a centerfielder was going to make things all better, did you?

Don't worry, I had the same torn feelings. And I know I've said it before, but I really hate the Astros.

And the Cubs just roll over and die in the 12th. Four games in and everything that shot this team in the foot last year has reared its ugly head. No true closer. Can't score without the longball. Can't score runners on third with less than two outs. Can't win one-run games. Can't win extra-inning games. I understand that they haven't played a pushover team so far, but what a contrast between what we saw opening day and what we've seen since. The Brewers had almost 30 baserunners today. That is inexcusable, especially when 12 come from the walk. If this team's relying on the warm weather to get it going, they're in trouble. After all, when is the postseason played? Not exactly a warm time of year. I think the Hawkins experiment is over. He's there by default, but hopefully they can go out at the deadline and pick up something resembling a good closer. Hawkins is good in the set-up role and utterly lacking of confidence in the closer's spot. Not so much a heart-breaking loss today. My heart for Cubs baseball is still pretty numb from the meltdown last season. It's just more frustrating than anything. I'm not calling for drastic measures, but early in the going, it looks like nothing's changed since last season. I hope for the sanity of myself and all the Cubs faithful, this isn't the case.

This is torture. Bases loaded, two outs, two strikes and...a base hit. Tremendous. I guess it had to happen eventually. TWELVE walks and two hit batters by that immaculate Cubs pitching staff today. Good thing Dusty took Nomar out of the game, too.

If you listen the Cubs' announcers, you'd be under the impression that the only way to win a game is to have a walk-off homerun. I think I'll scream if I have to watch one more Cub pop out.
-
Alrighty, the Cubs have to win after that amazing doubleplay by Lee, right? Let's hope so.

A little kid in the crowd just gave me a good laugh, yelling, "Hey Neifi, you stink!"
