Do you mean the ones that've taken place since the cutoff date for transactions in the game or that they'll be able to be updated as moves are made during the season?
-
I'm finding myself more addicted to the mini-games than the rest of the game. I don't think I've ever been so mad about not hitting a school bus before.
-
You can download the updated rosters though, right? I think that's only for the PC version.
-
I tried to play every MLB game in my Dynasty, but had to sim here and there to preserve sanity. And as Matt asked earlier, where can you get a list of transactions a moves so the rosters can be accurate before starting Owner or Dynasty mode? Seems like you have to do a lot of moving around and dropping of players just to get the free agents in the right place.
-
He's still a Cub in the game. And why wouldn't you just do the trade before entering Dynasty or Owner mode?

Another cool feature is that one of Frank Fransico's pitches is a folding chair. Is it me or is the strike zone a bit lower down than last year's? I seem to be going through a bit of a relearning process with consistent hitting (got it on pro, too), which is fine, but I think that may be the cause of it.

I figured that out during the last game I played. It's actually better this year since you can also get a quick look at both lineups and all of their stats. Some minor changes have been made for the better, too. When a hitter misses a bad pitch, he looks downright foolish (i.e. almost falls over), which is a nice touch. They also pan over to the on-deck circle in late inning situations if he represents the tying or go-ahead run. And just to confirm, the left hand glitch has definitely been fixed. I don't think I could've hit a homer with Tony Womack in MVP 2004 if my life depended on it. Not the case in 2005. It was even off a lefty.

Everything here is in reference to the PS2 version: Played a couple of quick games and have some mixed feelings. The Good - Improved graphics: Things look a bit sharper up close and the scenery is definitely improved from last year's model. - Pitching accuarcy: They decided to mess with the pitching accuracy and I think it was for the better. What was once a green chunk of the indicator has now been broken into three parts: Early, Perfect, and Late. The perfect section is the only remaining green part. Although you could usually tell if you were late or early in last year's model, it'd be tough to tell if it was perfect or not. A problem no more. - Smoother gameplay: One of the first things I noticed was the smoother gameplay. Everything flows easier and makes for an improved gaming experience. Additionally, the freezed frame shot that would occur when a homerun was hit last season is no more. This annoyed me last season, so it was nice to smack a ball onto the streets and actually see it go into the streets. - Fixed lefty glitch: This isn't 100 percent, but it seems that the lefty glitch that was present in last year's game has been fixed. The Bad - Jagged graphics: I noticed this only during the night game I played, but the graphics looked more jagged than during the day game. I started out with a night game and was instantly disapointed at how poor the graphics looked in comparison to last year's. Playing the day game, I see that this may only be the case during games played at night. - No quick access to the bullpen: This was a handy feature last year, so I'm baffled as to why it's not there any longer. It's a real pain having to pause the game, go to roster options, then to warm up pitchers and then select the pitcher. - The commentary: Same duo as last season's and not that much better. It seems they have more depth in the things they say, but it still gets old. Also, some comments are driven into the ground and far too late into the game. Hearing them say what a great strikeout pitcher Prior is in four different ways within the span of a few minutes wasn't necessary. - The music: Holy shit. I thought last year's was bad. This is just terrible. It's like a parody of the bad stuff we got in MVP 2004. I believe I detected a rock song with bagpipes present. I'll delve into the Owner Mode later tonight. That's the big selling point of this new game, so hopefully it doesn't disapoint.

Got mine about 20 minutes ago at the Gamestop in the mall. I'm not sure about the hitter's eye thing, either, but we'll see.

The show was never about happy endings to begin with. -

Haven't heard that rumor in a loooooong time. The show got hard to watch in later seasons when the focus was on Kevin and Winnie, but I thought the series was quality the entire way through. There were few coming of age series better than this one realistically and quality-wise. The fact that Paul and Winnie weren't in every single one of his classes was always a small touch I appreciated. Also having Kevin's primary group of friends change (getting rid of some characters and introducing new ones) was interesting, since that's how things usually work from middle school through high school. -

I did and found that a great deal of the episodes mirrored my life in relations to my friends and family. Now that Seinfeld's out on DVD, this show is my number one most wanted series. -

Mine asked me what the hell was the matter with me when I described the fit Batista wore at Wrestlemania XX as stylish.

I was flipping back and forth between this and an episode of King of Queens. From the previews, I knew it was my sort of show and watching a few minutes of it confirmed it.
-
Quite bad, although there were a few bright spots. I got a kick out of Lovejoy ringing the church bell while Marge was trying to explain gay marriage within the context of the Bible.
-
Good, now maybe they'll finally keep him out of an EA MVP game. Seems about right, though, and the Giants obviously weren't optimistic since they signed Benetiz.

That's probably because Nas isn't a shameless self-promoter, nor is he concerned with including a lot of songs made to be radio hits on his albums. And is it me, or has Jay been more busy since he retired? Crap like this is exactly what it's ridiculous for a musician to "retire." Oh, and this should be further proof Game sucks shit.

I wasn't aware vaginas were possesive.

We went out to dinner where she's a hostess Saturday night, but saw Phantom of the Opera last night. I got her this perfume she's been after, as well as the two-disc Phil Collins DVD of his "first final farewell tour" since we went to that together. She's getting me a Cubs Carlos Zambrano jersey (ordered it, just haven't gotten it yet), so it's all gravy.
-
It ends with Meg holding up the Phantom's mask. There's no further hint towards the romance between the Phantom and Christine. Just saw the film last night for Valentine's Day and having seen the live show five times, I think Joel actually did it justice. Too many people bash him simply because of his previous works. I thought the movie kept in tact the great music, acting, tragedy, and humor that the play always has. I really enjoyed the the story was more fleshed out, too. People have complained about its length, but I didn't mind the extra time devoted to Rauol after he leaves the auction or the origin of the Phantom given more depth. I could've down without the sword fight, but minor quibbles.

With the anti-climatic World Series in the books, more moves are being made in baseball. Some news has been coming out in the last week, but the options being declined or picked up are starting to increase. So let's get going. The Stros picked up Biggio's option and declined Kent's. Not surprising on either part. I think Kent will fit in well in the AL. The Cubs declined options on Mark Grudzielanek and Moises Alou. Can't say I'm all that surprised, although I half-expected them to hang on to Alou. Glad to see him go, though, as he's declining more rapidly and his attitude was a big blow to the team in 2004. This obviously shows that the Cubs are going to try and sign a somewhat big outfielder in the offseason, if not Beltran.

Miss if it weren't for Smith and James. James was pimping it as a buddy comedy on Letterman, but the two are together probably about 25 minutes total out of the over two hour movie. It's an interesting story, but the end is so cliche for these types of flicks that it felt almost like a joke. Smith and James have great chemistry together, though, which is why their pairing was such a minor subplot in the grand scheme of things.

That was the general consesus even before most of the scapegoats were shipped off. I do think anything less than a World Series Championship is going to turn the remaining Dusty faithful against him. He's moved out everyone he didn't get along with and in the process, even surely had a say in the new commentating schmucks. It's going to be an interesting season.
