Mary-Kate and Ashley Go to College
Bruiser Chong replied to EdwardKnoxII's topic in Television & Film
The Olsen Twins = more overrated than the original Star Wars Trilogy. Take away the makeup and you've got a couple of plain-looking girls with underdevloped bodies. -
I do think it's stupid to shine attention on to you everytime you register a new name (even though you are terribly pathetic), but I've gotta wonder why exactly you continue to register here? You never make it a big deal to cover up who you are or anything like that and let's face it, those who don't hate you (which are pretty few and far between), honestly couldn't give two shits if you posted here or not. No one's losing sleep because you can't post here, and it's not like you have anything to gain by continuing to register new names here, so I fail to see a point. Please enlighten me before you are once again banned.

No, absolutely not. It'd be surreal to see, to say the least, but once the novelty wore off, it'd be just like Steiner, Goldberg, and all the other "can't-miss" signings. Sting's obviously a better worker than those guys, but the man's been through enough political bs during his prime of his wrestling career and I don't think he needs to go through more of it. Aside from that, I think it's pretty obvious that everything he went through in WCW killed his desire for this business and I can't say I blame him. Nevertheless, bringing in a big name like Sting would be cool to see, but after that, you'd just have another guy who was big in the past, isn't what he used to be, and would inevitably just get in the way or serve no real purpose. I think it's been proven by now that there is no big name or one single thing that can be brought into the scene and turn things around. That notion was proven wrong many times over the last two years; it's time to try something new, and quite trying to go for the quick fix, which Sting ultimately is in the end.

Wow, people still care about that no-talent dime-a-dozen bimbo?

Yes! Alf had his (rare) moments with the Cubs, but at the end of the day, he just wasn't worth what he was getting and I think a near clean slate for the Cubs pen is in order.

National Lampoon's Christmas Vacation 2??
Bruiser Chong replied to EdwardKnoxII's topic in Television & Film
Am I the only one who thinks the original is insanely overrated? It has its moments, but I didn't see what the big fuss was all about and I liked the first Vacation movie, so it's not like I don't care for the humor it brings to the table. -
Prolly the same reason they'll edit out other songs from their PPVs, they don't want to pay royalties.

Um, two and a half years, actually but who's keeping track?

I love paint fumes.

I've just heard that the script (or lack of one) is what hurts it the most. It starts out promisingly enough, but then takes a dive. I'll be the judge of that, though, but it'll prolly be a renter, as it's not worth risking 20 bones to make that assessment.

I applied nowhere, because honestly, my grades were okay and not being sure what I wanted to do, I saw little point in spending tons of money I didn't have just to say that I was "on my own." So I'm at the local CC, which is probably one of Michigan's better CC's around, as people from a lot of areas attend it. I'm one of the few people in my classes who actually lives in town.

I copped Dawson's Creek (review forthcoming), but nothing else. I'll get SP eventually, not just because of the mini-commentaries (which are a plus), but because this is where the show really began to take off. I'm intrigued by the Leage of Extraordinary Gentlemen, if for nothing else than to see why it was so panned when the concept was pretty interesting.

I remember watching that one the first time it aired in 1992 and then watching it again when it was reaired in early 1993. Good stuff, although being so young at the time, I didn't fully appreciate it. I've got a couple tapes of B:TAS around here and I believe at least one part is on one of them. It's funny (I guess) that the only B:TAS episode that I had a vivid memory of from way back when was the panned Penguin episode I've Got Batman in My Basement, if for no other reason than Fox contasntly aired it. As for the conference about full season sets of the series coming to DVD, it took place in July of this year, a day or two before the third volume of the series was released on DVD. I remember because I was psyched to get it and heard the morning of its release date that the season sets were almost a sure thing.

Cubs signed reliever Kent Mercker to a one-year deal. I don't remember a whole lot about him with the Braves, but I was pretty unimpressed with their pen as a whole, so I can't really say this pleases me, but by the same token, like I've been saying all along, there isn't much you can sneeze at when you consider what the Cubs had in the pen last season.

That's pretty dumb to dump Redman because of Burnett. After all the time he's been off, I wouldn't expect a whole lot out of him this season.

I agree somewhat, but what's the point of bringing in the only really big name left (aside from Sting, I guess) and then doing nothing with him? Having him go over the Rock like that was just right, except they ended up screwing things up by trying to make Goldberg a more "deep" character, instead of a big guy who's just an unstoppable monster. How about the RAW where Goldy was to team up with Orton to take on HHH and Flair. Obviously that was an Evolution beatdown, but Trips was the guy who got in the most offense (even that shitty looking Pedigree). HHH has certainly done his part in getting his ass kicked lately, but before, he always just played off Goldberg as no big deal, which isn't the way you wanna act towards the guy who's supposed to be a monster. No one said he did. I don't really care for it, but that's the whole point of his character. It pigeonholes him into being a one-note character, but that's always been the thing that's sold Goldberg.

Rock was on his way out again, anyway, so what would be the point of him going over, exactly? Rock doesn't mind putting people over, regardless, but the fact that he was leaving right after the match would've made a Rock victory look stupid. I seem to recall several instances where HHH looked to be the better of the two. Only recently did Goldberg begin to look like the dominant one. Before that, they were made to look evenly matched. And I don't think anyone was saying that HHH didn't put over GB cleanly and in a convincing fashion. Yeah a few naysayers popped up, but for the most part, I heard nothing but praises towards Trips for putting Goldy over. I won't say that GB as champion has dollar signs written all over it, because no one really knows. It's true he wasn't given that long to run with the belt. A few months used to be acceptable, but HHH and his insanely long reigns with poor buyrates and ratings resulting pretty much changed that. That wasn't his point. The point was that SS was one of the highest-drawing PPVs they've had this year. HHH has been the headline of most of the PPVs they've had this year and buyrates were consistently poor. I'm not saying that GB's presence is what caused the high buyrates for SS, but you can't ignore the fact that two of the three PPVs where Goldy has headlined the show have been the two highest-drawing shows of the year. I'm not a Goldberg fan by any means, but even I can't look past the fact that a Goldberg reign that should've gone at least until the Royal Rumble, was ended on Sunday, with the ironic thing being that he was the transitional champion to get the title from HHH to...HHH. Don't tell me Goldberg's gonna be getting the strap back, to justify HHH winning, either, because with him off TV for a month and then his contract up for renewel, there's practically no chance of that happening.

Personally, while I'm not crazy about Miller or Bako, I don't think the Cubs should tinker with that position. Offensively they are quite below average (maybe not so much for a catcher), but defensively, they're a couple of the best guys in baseball and no, that's not just the Cubs fan in me talking. Miller was the shit last year when it came to throwing runners out. I don't really wish to see Javy or Pudge end up with the Cubs, simply because I feel that their respective season efforts last year were a fluke. They're great players, but those were careers seasons they had and I wouldn't hold my breath and wait for them to top it.

u know that this isnt aim dont u lol

I doubt he was joking. People shouldn't post about something that they're so uninformed about. Not one of the Neptunes' stronger outings but I wouldn't say that they have no idea what they're doing. Yeah, he said Kelis didn't have clue what she was doing, but since the Neptunes were the ones who actually produced it and the beat was what he was referring to, that's basically what he's saying there.
-
Yes, because so many people here are just dying to pull out the old "Fuck Goldberg" card, because I guess they think it's original or something, much like "Suck Bag" or whatever it is they call Orton is. I don't particularily care for either guy, but people wanna hate for the stupidest things just so they can use their unclever little nicknames for them.

Isn't Barrett a catcher, though?

This Thread Is Ghey and ABOBO lurking...

Some damn fine production values right there. Go to a commercial at one of the most critical points of the match.

I always chuckle when people say that same-sex marriages shouldn't be allowed since they tarnish the image of marriage, as if marrying a stranger on national television, shotgun weddings in Vegas, and short-term marriages hadn't already done that.
