HELLO! What about those other fans with their hands in the air? So it's not like he was the only one... Then we'd be calling for their head. As it was, that dumb shit is the one who got his hands on it.
-
Castillo was the one who hit the foul ball. And thank god we've got Wood going tomorrow, but it's just tough to see the game fall apart in a matter of less than five minutes. You can blame them for leaving Prior in there for too long, but Farns is the one who gave up four more runs to put it out of reach.

I don't care for Choken, but that was hilarious. I pictured Steinbrenner talking like Satan to the kid.
-
I'd find him and make him watch that inning over and over and over, if he really is a Cubs' fan. Stupid shit seriously began that series of events. He may have been involved in just one run, but the bad vibe spouted from that incident. I thought I Alou was going to jump into the stands, grab one of those novelty bats, snap it in half and stab that shit in his face.

Tomorrow night couldn't get here soon enough. If they're gonna lose tomorrow then fine, the curse lives, but I don't know how I'm gonna make it through tomorrow knowing this shit happened. I need some closure and if Wood can provide it, more power to him. This is pretty much a sign that they're not meant to win, though. Seriously, this is the worst game I've ever seen and I've watched the Cubs religiously for nine years. If that doesn't say something I don't know what does. Ugh, I still can't believe the Gonzalez, the best SS in the NL, booted that.

I don't think I can a fan anymore. My heart hurts and I need to vomit.
-
I feel sick. That stupid fan may have just cost them the game.

I've gotta actually agree with Mik here. Like Zambrano, Willis is going to get better as he learns and gets older. You can't expect every young guy to be like Prior out there. And now it's 3-0. GO CUBS!
-
Al's got a point in that the Yanks have become like these monster heels over the years and if the Cubs make it into the series, it'd be much like your good old fashion Monster Heel vs. Extreme Babyface.
-
Always important to get that first run, especially with someone like Prior on the mound. Little disapointed they could only get one out of it, but everyone hit the ball hard, even if it was for an out (Ramirez and Simon).

I wonder how many people are catching onto The Czech Republic's last couple of posts in this thread. I know I have.
-
No, but maybe he should focus more on growing the farm system instead of looking for a slew of big names to sign each year. Those big signings don't seem to work out a lot of the time, either, so I fail to see the purpose in doing it each year. It'll be interesting to see what he does after this season, with Clemens retired, and Wells and Pettite possibly on their way out.

Why didn't you just buy the Requiem/Pi 2-pack? It's like $15 or less in the places that carry it. I hope you didn't spend that much for the Requiem disc. As for me, I got Christmas Story SE yesterday and Sanford and Son Season 3 today. Good times ahead, dummy.
-
It would appear that way. But hey, when movies like Space Jam are getting two-disc SE, are you really that surprised?
-
rarely? Hasn't he won 4 in the last 7 years? That's not reall RARE. That's pretty damn good percentage right there For all the money he's spending to buy a team that's made to win RIGHT NOW, they should be winning it every year.
-
Great counter-argument, Choken.
-
Choken, I think most people have a problem with the way the Yanks are run, not because they think that wanting to win is bad, but because of how it's done. Instead of building up some of their own talent, they go out and buy the biggest names out there, so it's not like they're really earning the wins, but rather, just buying them. Don't get me wrong, if they've got the money, they should invest in a winning team, but the way the Yanks are built every year, it's almost like they're buying a championship, instead of really working for it. Winning is obviously an important thing, but going absolutely apeshit when the most minor thing goes wrong is just insanity. I guess that's just because big Stein keeps dumping millions into making the "best" team out there everywhere, and rarely coming out of it with a championship to show for it.

The Sox have just looked crappy in this series, and for most of the ALDS, as well. They've done almost nothing in the postseason that got them there in the first place and their big bats have gone the way of the dodo. It's not even the Yanks great pitching, which I think isn't nearly up to par with what it's been in recent years. Mussina is almost becoming an automatic win in the postseason (mainly because of his team not backing him up with the runs), Wells looked human tonight, and Pettite seems to be a little off at times. If the Sox had taken advantage of half of their scoring chances they had tonight, they would be up 3-2 in the series, because the Yanks pitching wasn't great. The big hitters for the Sox are going to be the thing that ends up costing the team, because as of now, they've done absolutely dick. Nomar has just been trash, Ortiz only shines occassionally, and Ramirez is looking more overrated with each passing game. The way he was swinging against Rivera tonight was almost a joke. He looked like a pitcher taking some of those hacks. Not winning because the opposing pitching is excellent is one thing, but when you lose because you can't get the baserunners in, you've got a bigger problem. The Cubs don't do it as much as they should, but they've been solid in scoring the runs when they've needed to so far in the postseason, and that's surprising, since they were all about the pitching in the regular season. I just wanna know where the offensive juggernaut that was the Boston Red Sox went.

I remember back when pretending to be SK was actually pretty funny. Now it's just cliche and predictable. Try something else, my friend.

Don't forget that's also the day that the WWE Steel Cage DVD set drops and for those of you with some depth in your tastes, the Lon Chaney Collection, as well.
-
I really hope the Cubs/Sox happens for the WS, because if things hold up, Boston's big hitters have been just awful for the most part in this postseason.

Watching some old WCW PPV's, I've noticed that JR does tend to rock back and forth quite a bit at times, but for reasons I'm not sure of.
-
I believe it's considered one, albeit, a light one. Taste just like candy, tho, so I certainly wouldn't call it a beer.

You obviously haven't been in the sports folder lately then, because that's pretty much the only place I've posted over the last few weeks. And Banky has a point there, although I wasn't going to mention it because it would just leave the door open for the obligatory, "then go post there and leave here" retort.

No one wants to discuss anything about porn, so I gave up on that a long time ago. But thanks for bringing up something that hasn't been mentioned in what, six months? All the porn talk that will ever happen in that folder has taken place and I participated, and since it was made clear that people wanted to talk about how to get a date instead of that, I threw in the towel and moved on. As for me not contributing, I don't post much here anymore, but check out the sports folder, aight? I'd say that I've posted there quite often and contributed over the past couple of months or so. I don't claim to be some super poster here, but please don't make it sound like I contribute nothing.
