I don't see the Cards being swept again against Houston when they're in St. Louis next week, but even a sweep against the Astros isn't going to get them back into the race. However, it'd be nice to see them win a game or two, just to help the Cubs out a bit.
-
No I'm rooting for Cubs vs. Anybody, but a cross-town matchup would be fun. Bad baseball day in my eyes, Cards allow the sweep, Cubs lose in the 9th, and the Marlins blow a pretty big game. They shouldn't have pitched Looper last night, since it wasn't a save situation. He pitched three days in a row, and that probably wore him out.

I remember posting about this movie back at the old Smarks Board about it being such a great movie and subsequently being flamed to hell for it. It's one of the first movies I saw in the theatre, and I've probably seen it a hundred times since then. I was siked when they released it on DVD, but disapointed to find out it was barebones. I'm sure an SE will be along eventually, but releasing a barebones DVD these days is just laziness and ridiculous, since they almost always release another one later.

There's some shame in losing back-to-back games to the Pirates, though.

NO. I dislike the Cardinals very much so, but with them fading, Houston needs to drop this one to keep things from getting too far apart. *still pulling for the Cubs*

Batman: The Movie Rocky and Bullwinkle: The Complete First Season Saved By the Bell: Seasons 1 and 2 Now mind you, R&B is often very intelligent (in that it educates the viewer subtly), but there's a barrage of bad puns and the like that make the humor very much an acquired taste. Same goes for SBTB, 'cept that doesn't educate you about anything other than that hack writers and B-Level actors can land work on a higher level.

I bet he and Alfonseca would have quite a bit in common.

Well, Kramer had seizures everytime he heard her voice, so there ya go.

RAW was the better show at the time, but like Loss said, WCW was actually building up new stars and giving the new faces a chance to shine. Whether it was because they knew the end was near or not doesn't really matter. The point still remains that by time WCW finally folded, they had created several new stars, given previously unknown talent some exposure, and given the fans new people to care about and be entertained by.

Hey, I don't really mind the Problem Child movies, although they are pretty bad, I have a soft spot for them, and Ritter's somewhat dry comedy is what helped make the movies enjoyable for me. R.I.P. John.

I don't think Greg's racist since he used Eddie Perez when he was with the Braves. Isn't it just a case of Greg and Javy not "clicking?"

Cubs blew it again as they were losing 3-0 going into the ninth. They loaded them up, Karros singled, scoring a run and keeping them loaded. Leave it to Alex Gonzalez to ground into a double play. Yeah it scored another run, but then there were two outs and a guy on second. Randall Simon pinched hit and grounded out to end the game. Can't expect the guy to get the big hit everytime, which is what he's been doing. Regardless, they drop 2-of-3 to a sinking Expos squad after taking 4-of-5 from the Cards and a red-hot Brewers team. At least the Stros and Cards lost today, so the Cubs didn't lose any ground, but a win would've put them back in first.

Yeah, I was "watching" it via MLB.com's Gameday, so I had no idea that Alou had miscued that flyball and there was no mention of it there, so I figured Farns had blown another one.
-
Well, with reasoning like that, how can you even begin to argue? On that note, I'd prolly have a problem with you since you have an odd obsession with asking strangers to post pictures of their dicks on a message board. Maybe if you spent less time asking to see pictures of teenage dicks on the Internet, your marriage wouldn't have fallen apart.
-
Yup, beating the Indians is quite the accomplishment.

This board is out of shape, mang. It needs work on its cardio.

Willis hadn't come into his own yet when they traded him away. I once too thought Farns was good but then he seemed to be unable to have any control and that's been his problem. He's a flamethrower and would be good if he could get some control. Just seeing the clips from the game has made me even madder. They had 2 out and the Expos popped it up and it seemed like they were out of the inning. Nope. Alou lost it and ended up just missing the catch and thus, the five-run rally began. Fuck. That was a very embarrassing moment and made the Cubs look like they have no business in the race.
-
Well, Kyle Farnsworth's worthless ass gave up 5 runs in the 8th inning tonight, which is horribly pathetic, considering the Cubs WERE winning 4-0 and are now losing 8-4. I don't mind the Expos, but they're not going anywhere this year and the Cubs needed this win tonight and it doesn't look like it'll happen. I'm trying to figure out who sucks more, Farns or Alfonseca. It was their pitching that did them in tonight, as the Expos had 3 runs before they even registered a single base hit. That's right, all walks. They ended up with seven for the night and when you give up that many, you're gonna lose.

If the Cubs get into the postseason, I actually think it'll be via winning their division. St. Louis' pitching is going to end up being the end of them (hopefully) and it'll come down to Houston and the Cubs. I don't think the Yankees are that overexposed, but it's just tiresome seeing them on top every year (or at least, at the front). I know that's the mark of a good team, but it's not from playing well as a unit, it's from being put together with their millions of dollars. The Yanks just seem like a completely manufactured team, with no signs of any personality. You take a team like the Red Sox and put them next to New York. On one end you've got a bunch of guys who really seem to be friends and get along, thus they play better ball while on the other, you've got a team that's always cutting down someone else in the organization and the only reason that they're even in the race is because they were put together with the insane amounts of money that the team has.
-
it's that the teams in Chicago have never won anything since the days before Radio became popular people feel sorry for the Cubs, people sorta dislike the White Sox. You can put it on the board, yes? How about "I can put my foot up your ass, YEEEESSSS!" People don't feel sorry for the Cubs. They may not win all the time, but their games are almost always interesting and whether you'd like to admit it or not, they're one of the most interesting teams in baseball, past and present. Yeah they haven't won the Series in almost a century but look at the draw they still are. I think most Yankees/Braves fans are bandwagon jumpers. Let's see them suck for a couple years in a row and see how they respond to it. I've just always found the Yankees to be quite uninteresting, to tell you the truth. I can respect the legacy, but the way their entire team is just built and operated, it's just not interesting. Maybe it's because I can be loyal to a team that's not always on top, but the Yankees are very unappealing to me.

no no.. Im bald, and I sorta look like Kane. So if you can picture kane IF he wore glasses, then you would be able to picture what I would look like with glasses. I know, I was just being ya know, sarcastic. Then get the laser eye surgery. Contacts aren't all that great (for comfort reasons), but putting it on your eye is no big deal, unless you've dropped it on a floor you haven't cleaned since the mid-90's.

Yes, but in an age where people smoke, drink, do drugs, among other things knowing full well of their consequences, are you really surprised people tan? Nothing wrong with a nice tan, but these people who frequent the tanners often are too tan looking. It's like look whitey, just accept that you're white and quite trying to be brown or orange.
-
You should do what comedian Louis Ramey does. Just stand outside of the tanning salon like you just got out of there, looking at your hands and screaming, "AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!"

I took a semseter of keyboarding/misc. computer stuff and although it's a pain to learn, it benefited me. I got skilled at typing properly and I've never looked back. I don't know how I ever wrote anything more than 2 lines in less than five minutes not typing properly. It may be a "pain," but it's one of those pains that's worth it.

*head bursts from 1,001st Yuna/X2 thread* I hope you take pride in having successfully killed anything even resembling my interest to ever see this movie. And for the record, those menus are pretty bland by today's standards.
