What about The Office? That's the only show I really care about. And this whole thing is silly. Why shouldn't the writers be entitled to a bigger piece of the DVD pie? Without them, there is no product to put on the DVD.

WWE 24/7 Discussion Thread - November 2007
Bruiser Chong replied to DrVenkman PhD's topic in WWE Multimedia
I hadn't watched any 24/7 in a week or two and flipped it on yesterday to see I've got a whopping five selections. I was hoping for some Survivor Series '90 during my lunch break yesterday. -
Glad we can get to the wheeling and dealing the off-season brings after such a horrible postseason. I dislike Renteria, but the Tigers made out quite well for a guy who was one of the best offensive players at his position last year. It'll be interesting to see how his return to the AL goes.
-
I pointed out to Al that over the losing sides of the last four WS have managed a whopping collective victory tally of one game.
-
This is all Cleveland's fault.
-
Add something to the discussion? Like "Goodbye and Good Fucking riddance," perhaps? *checks* Damn it, that's already been "added."
-
I like how PAYROD is capitalized as if it say, "Look at me, I'm supposed to be clever!" Now that dead weight like Joe and PAYROD are gone, the Yankees can get back to their winning ways.

Are any non-Sox fans enjoying this series? I can't even fully credit the Sox. The Rockies finally look like the youngins they are, displaying zero patience at the plate.
-
Going to see this later on. I'd imagine the disdain most here have for Dane Cook will prevent them from seeing this.
-
I don't want to hear another complaint from a Red Sox fan for at least another decade after this series.
-
You have a son and it's me. That, convict Stanley and Kool-Aid Kevin slayed me.
-
Ugh, fuck Bud Selig. Who starts the World Series at 8:30 p.m. on a Wednesday night? This schedule just completely disregards anyone who has to be productive in the morning.
-
I'm gonna go with the Rockies in six.
-
Unreal. Skinner may have just cost the Indians a trip to the Series. Blake doesn't get much credit for hacking away on a first pitch that was bound to be something near the ground.
-
My friends and I were just saying Gagne is definitely getting into this game. I guess we'll have Game 7, after all. And with the way these games have played out, I'll go into work Monday morning with four hours of sleep.
-
I'd like to point out it's past midnight eastern time and this game's only now going to the fifth inning.
-
Conor's the new Buckner. At this point, my money's on the Rockies to win it all. They're just too hot and everything is going their way. I've seen more balls drop inside the foul line for them in this postseason than I think I saw for the Cubs all season.
-
I can't believe there's a game on at 10 p.m. eastern on a Monday night. I turned the TV off after the end of the Indians/Red Sox game, came here, saw randomguy's comment, wondered what the hell he was talking about before remembering the game was on. As if the number of people who were going to watch the NLCS wasn't low enough, they have these absurd start times.
-
I can't believe the Rockies are going to the World Series. And before anyone mentions they still need to win one more--the D-backs aren't the 2004 Red Sox. What an amazing run for the Rockies.

His usage (or over-usage) of his pitching staff may be exaggerated. I'd say one of the more frustrating aspects of Baker's tenure with the Cubs was his habit, nay insistence, on trying to jam the proverbial square peg in the round hole. There were several times a month where he'd churn out a lineup card that made no sense. Corey Patterson was fast, so he must be a lead-off hitter, right? Patterson's future may have been overrated, but Baker's determination to keep him in the lead-off spot despite every piece of contrary evidence to the idea, destroyed Patterson's upside. Let's not forget about Neifi Perez, lead-off man. The guy was a savior for the team for a couple of months, but Baker continued to not only play him regularly, but use him in the lead-off spot or number-two slot despite the scientific fact that it was Neifi god damn Perez. We won't even touch on the several times Jose Macias got in there as a centerfielder and/or lead-off man. Baker probably has taken an unfair amount of criticism over two guys who would've probably dealt with their current issues without his help. But that doesn't mean he's not a terrible manager. It just means he's a terrible manager for the not-so-often-mention reasons.

I have this theory that states anyone who isn't against the idea of Dusty Baker managing their favorite team has never had Dusty Baker manage their favorite team.

I don't think the playoffs are too long. Even with the WC, you have one of the most succinct playoff formats in sports. When you consider the immense build the regular season creates, it's even more amazing to consider half of the playoff-bound team's are out within a week.
-
Baker's bad rap for overworking pitchers isn't what's bothered me about him. Czech covered most of them, but another is his rep for being such a successful manager. Let's not overlook the fact he had the likes of Barry Bonds and Jeff Kent rounding up his lineup on a daily basis during his tenure in San Francisco.
-
Exactly. I'll agree he's more off-the-wall this season, but look at the circumstances. He's trapped in a relationship he's already acknowledged is awful and is now taking orders from the guy he always fancied as his pupil, regardless of how untrue that was. If this doesn't lead to some huge breakdown/outburst at some point this season, I'll retract my support for the direction they seem to be taking Michael in. Until then, I have enough faith in the writing staff that all of this is building towards something.

Yeah, no shit. God damn west coast. I assumed the way the Dbacks were hitting, I could go to sleep during the bottom of the eighth.
