Acquiring Kerry Wood only makes sense in the event that Carl Pavano gets in another car accident and dies, thus opening the roster spot for the guy making millions who never actually plays.

Dodgers are done. Furcal's building a nice reputation of being worthless in the postseason, no?
-
What a stupid move by the Dodgers. Take down Maddux for a pinch-hitter in the fourth with runners at second and third. I understand the need to get those runs in, but with one out, at worst, you're probably leaving it up to Furcal. As it is, Maddux is out and Ethier lined into a DP. Maddux probably would've just made ONE out.

What did Kay say?
-
We sure did. I didn't even think about the possibility of him opting out, even though the clause was mentioned when the deal was inked. I just heard "four years" and naturally assumed he'd be here for four years. Juan Pierre. Take him before the Cubs do something stupid like let Ramirez walk and re-sign Pierre for three years at $12 million per.

Billy Wagner was using that song first, genius. Just for you.

I'm surprised no one complained about the celebration. That's not professional! Props to the Tigers for being a truly accessible team. Kenny gave booze to the commoners!
-
He could hit a slam and it wouldn't matter in their eyes since it wouldn't tie it up. He wasn't there when it counted!
-
Hey, at least A-Rod's not padding his stats.
-
Had to add this. WHAT THE FA.UK!
-
BUT HE WROTE A BOOK!
-
Does Johnny Damon smiling in the dugout under the present circumstances make him unprofessional?
-
The Boss was the one who HAD to have Randy Johnson. And Pavano. And Wright. This is his fault.
-
Tigers are gonna have to start worrying about being no-hit pretty soon. Bonderman's around the 40 pitch mark through five.
-
Then why was Todd Walker left in?
-
They're still in a state of shock over Mussina blowing an enormous two-run lead to a team that won 95 games.
-
I imagine him sounding like the MSU radio guy who had a 15-minute meltdown following their loss to Notre Dame. "THEY CHOKED!!! THEY CHOKED ON APPLESAUCE!!"
-
I can't believe you're still blaming Mussina. Go away you stupid ass troll. Was it also Mussina's fault that the offense hasn't scored in two plus games aside from a home run?
-
The Yankees are in so much trouble if their hitting since the middle of Game 2 is any indication.
-
What was the reason for taking out the only Padre to get a hit with RISP in the series in favor of a guy who didn't even play the last couple weeks of the season because of an injury that affected his hitting?
-
The Padres are so painfully vanilla it's maddening.
-
A-Rod's batting eighth today and Giambi's out of the lineup.
-
Considering what Dave Roberts has done in this series, it's crazy to think he's scored one run in two and a half games.
-
That's where I first saw him, too. When I got the DVD set for Christmas two years ago, I was shocked to learn afterwards he was still living. He obviously lived a long life and this isn't shocking considering his recent condition, but it's still sad.

Agreed. It's a shame the album is pretty terrible. Props on the De La Soul addition. Eye Know is one pick-me-up tracks that rarely fails to make me feel upbeat.
