I may be jaded about the Tigers, but I loved hearing that roar on Matsui's whiff. Awesome and these fans deserve it.

Good god. I don't think Rogers had eight strikeouts all season!
-
This thing's over.
-
As an aside, I will never hear the end of it if the Tigers do advance and heaven forbid, win it all.
-
Good thing they benched that bum Sheffield.
-
You know, you can't count out this offense, but if the Tigers take this, the Yankees are in some trouble with their season possibly resting on the shoulders of Jaret "What's the Seventh Inning?" Wright.
-
They'll never seem old as long as there's A-Rod bitching.

Winning usually breeds chemistry.

What's with Sheff? I just saw he's out and Giambi's at first, with Bernie DH'ing. I wouldn't imagine he'd be out unless he was hurt.

Because every player, no matter how great, messes up. Yankees fans don't seem to realize this.
-
Quit hating, fucker.

Maybe it's because I'm a Cubs fan, so I sympathize with most losing, or because the Twins' run from June on was so remarkable, but I feel pretty bad for the Twins right now.
-
Yeah, they seemed more interested in showing the A's dugout than the game itself during the highlights on Wednesday. And damn, I didn't realize the game had already started. It's looking like the A's may be the first to advance.

I don't buy into the theory that you can just buy a championship. If that were the case, the Yankees would be looking for their seventh or eighth straight championship. It obviously helps to have a roster full of superstars, but just because you plunk down millions doesn't mean you're going to win. Look at the Mets a couple years back. Or the Cubs this year. Or the Red Sox this year. Or the Cubs last year. Or the Red Sox last year. Or the Cubs in 2004. Or...

I meant "love" instead of "leave" in my last post, in case anyone couldn't figure that out. Anyway, I must say that with three series already on the verge of ending, this has been an unentertaining opening round. I've seen chunks of just about every game and I'd say the only really good ones have been Game 1 of A's/Twins, Game 1 of Mets/Dodgers and today's Tigers/Yanks game.

Good man. I hear May 2007 and from what I heard, sounds like it's going to be great.

He's had quite a few outings where he's been lit up pretty good. It hinges on his command. If it's good, he's unhittable. If not, it's not impossible to put up a crooked number against him.

Gotta leave these teams that go on amazing runs to make the playoffs, only to roll over and die upon arrival. The Dodgers and Padres don't even look like they belong in the NLDS.

Where have you, ahem, acquired these from?

I long ago faced the facts and accepted it was eBay or bust if I was ever gonna own the damn thing. Even then, I've only seen a couple; most have gone upwards of $50. A great deal of them are from areas like Japan, so even if you get it for a good price, the shipping's going to hurt. That said, the moment I come into any amount of easy money, I'm ponying up and getting it.

The only album I've considering buy the record of to frame and hang. Too bad it's ridiculously tough to find and subsequently, pricey.
-
I can't believe this is the same Cards pitching staff that was in such shambles all season. ONE run in 18 innings?
-
The NL West should be banned from the playoffs.

Are you saying that Yankee fans are overexaggerating dicks. No way. Well, not just that, but suddenly a lot of the Detroit fans have found their swagger again. I agree they're in a good spot, considering Johnson's status. But I can't see them taking both home guys, which means a trip back to the Bronx is likely in the mix.

So far, it seems like everyone's declaring the losing team dead for the rest of the series.
