ALDS: Detroit Tigers vs. New York Yankees

    He gawn.

Leyland should pull a Bobby Valentine and bring in a new pitcher who looks suspiciously like Zumaya, but whose name is Zoel Jumaya, complete with sunglasses and Groucho Marx mustache and nose.

Tigers had better tack on another run here. I don't trust Todd Jones with a one-run lead against this lineup. Or any lineup, for that matter.

Oh c'mon, I could catch up to a 103 MPH fastball!

Yeah, he's not worth it. Not when they have the likes of Jaret Wright and Carl Pavano shoring up the rotation. Pavano is too busy fucking his model gf and crashing his $100,000 Mercedes into trucks to be pitching for the Yankees. He is a lost cause. Yeah, that was sort of my whole point.

    Nice throw by Jeter there.

    Miller just called Verlander "Jason."

    Good god, are you serious?

Is there any particular reason they play Salt 'n' Pepper's Push It when Matsui gets a hit?

And naturally, Joe Morgan defends the bunt.

ALDS: Detroit Tigers vs. New York Yankees

Craig Monroe's obviously been talking to Neifi.

I had avoided actually seeing one of these Lasorda commercials until just now.

There's Mr. Clutch. Even though the Yanks haven't scored, they're still doing a great job of working Verlander over. He won't make it past five at this rate.

Someone count how many times Joe and Jon use the word "clutch" this afternoon.

I know this isn't a Tigers team that takes pitches or walks, but I didn't realize how terrible some of these OBP were. Monroe's almost in Neifi territory and Inge is only at .313.

Wow, Verlander only threw 20 pitches in that inning. The two walks and strikeouts made it seem like a lot more, but I guess when you factor in Jeter popping out on one pitch and Damon singling on the second pitch, it makes sense.

Awesome how the Yankees fans can go from a standing ovation to booing in the span of like 30 seconds. So two-faced.

And Mr. Clutch botches an easy throw. No one acknowledges these things.

ALDS: Oakland A's vs. Minnesota Twins

Mark Ellis broke his finger in today's game. He'll be available if they advance, but he's done for this round.

We'll make it happen. I'm assuming he's going to be in the studio and not the booth, right? And Dusty does indeed think walks clog up the bases, but only if you're slow. So he would've liked it today because Reyes and Beltran are fast. But if had been Delgado and Floyd, then no.

NLDS: Los Angeles Dodgers vs. New York Mets

Well, not just that, but the bastard comes out to the same Metallica song as another pitcher in New York does!

Wow, people are still caring about the use of a song? And how could Nomar strike out against a schmuck like Billy Whateverhisnameis? You guys are priceless.
